Muth & Company Roofing

I haven't had any problems, they have been very attentive. They have been easy to work with so far.

They did a quality job. They didn't hire any sub-contractors. They worked well with our insurance company. They did a good follow-up. They answered any questions we had.

The work they did went well, and they took care of the squirrel problem.

They did what they said that they would do and on time.

They started the job on a date later than promised & pushed back work after agreed upon date. Work was good & efficient, once they started. I had a list of complaints & promises no kept. They finished & did not clean up well enough, we had 4 flat tires! Finally, the salesman did clean up. One of their workers urinated on my home on the back corner of the house - Yuck!!

This company was perfect if they would not have called and checked on the work I never would have known they were here. They matched the shingles perfectly and their prices were competitive and did a great clean up job.

They told me to remove the power vent and to install ridge vents. I checked with another insulation and ventilation specialist and they said my current system was fine and it was unnecessary to spend the additional money to put in ridge vents. I did not end up using them.

I specifically asked them to give me a call before they came to my home and no one did. When I received the estimate, the paper stated that all caps needed to be removed from ridge vent apron, and new caps were to be installed. I had more than one person tell me that they were not in need of replacement, and I even climbed and looked at them myself and I could tell they did not require repair.

Generally, Muth did a good job for us. We were pleased with the final result (pleased enough that we used them again for our garage roof this summer). They subbed the job to a crew that were courteous and worked quickly and efficiently. The Muth rep, Lori, wasn't on-site as often as we believed she would be, but she did check in more often as work neared completion (But missed a couple of things that she subsequently had to return for - see below). They didn't do a super job with clean-up (I still find the odd nail here and there around our property), but our yard is a bit tight and tricky (with bricks, fences, etc., crowding in). They did some slight damage to our neighbor's brick front steps, which was most unfortunate. They did work something out with him to make it right, but care should really have been taken in the first place not to damage anything. We had some small problems in the months after the job (leaking skylight, and some bulging shingles), but Muth has come back out each time, no questions asked, and made it right. So, as I said - we thought they charged a fair price and have stood by their work, even though the process wasn't entirely free of problems.

They were professional. Lori was our salesperson and she did well for the follow up. They took care of roof from a winter storm. They were efficient. After hurricane Ike, I thought I had problems and they came out, and their warranty is great.

I called 3 companies from Angie's List for quotes. Muth was up front about what they could and could not do immediately. For example, the day I called they were only doing tarps. They said they would send me an estimate within a week, and they did. The estimate included the information that I was to pay half of the cost first. When I called to ask when the work could be done, they said when they received the half payment, they would "put me on the board". I sent in the half payment; in a day or so they called again to let me know the work would be done the next day. The next day, they called again to say the work was finished, and they would be sending me the bill. They did, I paid it, done. No hassles, no problem. Very refreshing, because one of the other companies told me that if I had called the day before, the service charge part of the bill would have been $100 less. Muth didn't charge a service call - just charge for the work they'll do.

They came out and gave a reasonable estimate. However, we chose an estimate from another contractor that was less expensive and included more options.

Muth was pretty responsive and professional; they seemed to appreciate the severity of our roof damage and did their best to fit us into their schedule, but ultimately I had to go with someone who could provide service sooner.

Their estimate was reasonable but we decided to go with another service provider. However, they were timely in getting back with me.

The job was done quite professionally. Work was performed very promptly following contract. The company responded to all questions I had during the work. Tarping of deck was done as requested prior to removal of old roof. Clean-up was very complete.

The repairs look good & it's not leaking!

They were out on time and they did the work very quickly. The edging of the roof is used by little pieces of roof instead of one big piece of roofing.

I called this company and they had a pre-recorded message stating that they were a company who had been in business for a long time and because of the last storm they couldn't take new customers. I think this is because they are a good company and couldn't keep up with business after a storm.

They were great and I have no complaints.

Excellent; my damage was not as severe as others , which I explained. They said I would be on their non-urgent list if that was o.k., which it was. They called before they came and then did the repairs.

Excellent. I was not home when they did the job, and I wanted proof they would drain all the way through into the street, so they came back out and ran water through all of them showing me they were all patent. They try to insure satisfaction.

He was here when he said he would be and everything went good.

They went out of their way to make sure I was well taken care of. The price was right. I got the check before I even picked out the color. These men treated me like their own grandmother. I'm just overwhelmed.
