Muth & Company Roofing

Good clean transaction. Reasonable bid process. Kind, friendly representative. At one point he besmirched his competitor ??"they say it's a one-day job, but it isn't." (Turned out to be a one-day job.) We were glad we went with Muth, rather than the competitor.

They are family owned where their work is always fantastic and so is their reputation. They are not the cheapest but the quality of their work is worth it and they guarantee their work. We will continue to use them in the future.

Muth responded within 24 hours to my call for an estimated. I felt confident that the inspection and estimate were accurate and agreed to proceed with the repair. The repair scheduled within a week but delayed due to rain. When the weather cleared the repair person came out on Saturday to make the repair and complete the work. The estimator and repair person were both professional and courteous. Both reassured me that no further work was necessary at this time. They were great!

Overall I would rate the work a B+. The installers called me the first day on the job to explain some additional wood that needed replaced that was an unknown until after the old roof was torn off. I did call the supervisor and had him come back and review the work that was completed, since I am not familiar with a rubber roof installation. There was a small amount of excess rubber material hanging over the side that the installers missed cutting off, which he corrected. There was a small issue with the installers leaving behind some paper from their drink bottles and plastic tips from cigars and cigarette butts that I brought to the supervisor's attention. The roof repair, where they had to replace some of the shingles with new, was well done and blended in well. Everyone that I dealt with was friendly and helpful and I would use them again.

They brought a pre-primed fascia board so they could simply install and paint it. They inspected the plywood under the shingles to be sure there was no damage (they broke out the price if a new piece was needed) and then repaired the shingles. They were polite, punctual, and very knowledgeable.

They did a great job. The roof we had was damaged in the storm. Initially, our insurance company said that we could only get a few panels fixed. We had a roofer come out for the job. However, we weren?t happy with him, as he never showed up. Later, Muth Roofing worked along with our insurance company and got us the whole roof. The insurance company paid some amount towards the work, but even we had to pay for the work as the old roof was more than 10 years old. Muth Roofing was excellent. They showed up on time. If they couldn?t come out, they called us. They were very helpful with the colors as well. They even came out after the job was completed, in order to ascertain if everything was okay. Overall, they were very professional.

The previous roof had cheaper shingles and I didn?t think that they were of good quality - every wind storm that we got they were blowing off. I upgraded to the 50-year shingle - got the most expensive stuff - because I figured that this was not something that I was going to do everyday. Sometimes, you get a sales manager and you feel that you got sold a little bit, but the sales manager from Muth & Co was quick to call back. He always kept me informed of everything. They dealt with the insurance company as well. They were outstanding and they did a wonderful job. The people that installed the roof were actually certified on the product they were installing. They were really great and they got the job done quickly. Within two days, the whole roof came off and the new one was on. They were lower than the other two estimates that I had received. I have been recommending them to other people.

They took time with the estimate and were very quick with the turn around time. They were excellent, very professional and they did a good job.

Muth placed temporary covering on leaking protions of the existing. There was some small amount of debree left in the rear yard after installation of the temporary covering. The job was started prior to estimated start date. Installation and cleanup went very smoothly and the crew was very professional and respectful of the neighbors in terms of of no unrequired noise ( yelling, boom boxes, etc)

The representative was very professional, punctual and answered all of my questions. We decided to go with another company solely because our insurance carrier thought their quote was too high.

They did an excellent job explaining the work being done.

They went above and beyond what most roofers would have done. They painted the molding, they were very nice on the phone, and the workers that were here were very pleasant.

I can't recommend Kelly and others from Muth roofing enough! This was a truly scary step for us to take and the estimate was higher than other's who bid the job. However, the job was done right and my very picky husband is 100% pleased! Everyone showed up on time, worked the full day and did a first class job. We've had a couple of huge downpours since, and not one problem. Thanks, Muth!

Everything about the experience, from the estimate to the job to the follow-up, was fast, high-quality, and exactly as promised. They are proud of their customer service, and rightly so. Other contractors and service providers could take a lesson from Muth!

They were thorough and knowledgeable. This is a great roofer, price is not the only key. It was a great experience. We have already contracted them to make repairs to our house roof.

Fantastic. While we had to wait awhile due to scheduling, they clearly explained that from the beginning and were correct in their estimated time to perform the work.

This company did exactly what they said they would do, when they said they would do it & they treated us with respect throughout the entire process, all of which seems to be rare these days. Matt Gregory was the primary face & voice of the company for us and he was a pleasure to deal with. He is a great representation of the company. Everyone else was also very nice. We are very pleased with how our new roof looks. Our entire experience so far, fro scheduling the initial roof inspection to the final meeting to pay for the completed work, was very positive & pleasant. Of all the multiple employee businesses we have dealt with as homeowners, Muth & Co Roofing Inc stands out as one we would be happy to enthusiastically recommend.

My reason for contacting Muth was I received several code violations from the City of Columbus due to no gutters, shingles missing, and wood exposed and needing to be painted. I chose to call Muth as they had very high ratings on Angie's list. I do not normally ask anyone to work on my house as I do most repairs myself. This time I had a sore foot and doubted I could complete the repairs the city asked me to complete in the 30 calender days they gave me. Muth did not help me in this situation but I understand their not wanting to do piecemeal work. I wanted them to put new gutters on the house and repair a sofit and a small area of damaged roof where the wood had rotted due to previous poor work done by another company when I had my house resided. That previous company which is no longer in business put the drip edge on upside down and caused a lot of wood to rot around the edges of the roof. I have done a lot of wood replacement over the last 5 years but I usually choose to work in the spring or fall when it is not as hot. I did not want all of my roof replaced. When Muth told me they would only give me an estimate on a complete roof repair I knew I had to start searching for another company to do the repair and I now have very little time left on my 30 days. I can not blame Muth but I was not happy with the situation.

During a routine warranty check of my roof, Muth discovered that the shingles that had been installed approximately 5 years ago had flaws. They showed me the problem and worked with the maker, GAF. GAF agreed to replace the shingles and provided for all the labor, so there was no cost to me for the roof. Muth handled all the paperwork. They replaced the roof and installed the new skylights ($715) in two days. They did an exceptional job cleaning up afterwards and did a follow-up inspection two days later.

They were professional offering good customer service. They called when the shingles were delivered and showed up on time. This is the best contractor I have ever experienced no complaints and that is saying a lot from me because I am picky.

They pretty much did exactly what they promised.

We had another company supposedly "fix" this leak, but afterwards it leaked worse! However, since Muth fixed it, our downspout has not leaked again - despite a lot of rain!

Great experience with this company. Matt provided us with a very detailed estimate. It wasn't the lowest estimate I received but he took the time to convince us that they would do a good job and they did. He explained every step of the installation so that I understood what they would be doing and the materials they would be using. The job was completed in one day and the site was thoroughly cleaned and no damage to plants surrounding the house.

Replacing a roof even with the help if insurance can not be a pleasurable experience. Muth & Co, however made it very painless. They seem to go to lengths to be responsive to our needs and questions, salesmen was great and the crew was very efficient.
