Great - quick scheduling, arrived on-time, called ahead, finished project quickly, cleaned up well, contacted days later to confirm I was happy with project before sending invoice

It was excellent, though expensive, from start to finish. We had a couple of questions after the roof was installed, and these were answered promptly. We had another question somewhat later, they inspected, and didn't charge us.

They were great. They arrived on time and completed the work as scheduled. I was very pleased with the service.

They were very punctual and were careful of the debris. They explained what they were doing as they were doing it. They finished in approximately 3 hours.

I had a very bad experience with them. They guarateed their work that nothing would get through and I had bird nests that had gotten through. The company tried to take care of this for me. I have asebestos siding. Every company should know that you cannot drill through aesbestos siding. The company representative didn't even seem to understand that you don't drill through aesbestos siding for re-roofing.

Overall, the experience was good, however we had issues with the contractor. He told us the work would take 2-3 days, it took four. It's a large roof, so we understood, but we had a new foster dog that had to be outside, and it was difficult to plan for that at the last minute. The real issue was with the 6 month same as cash pay option and how it was (or wasn't handled). At the first meeting with Kelly, we said we were interested in that option. Later, we were struggling with the decision of upgrading what the insurance was willing to pay, and finally decided that because we had several months to pay the balance of the bill, we were able to upgrade (also discussed with Kelly). I gave Kelly a credit card number for the initial installment, understanding that we still had 5-plus months to pay the balance. It wasn't until the work was completed as we were going over the last bit of paper work that we found out we were never given the opportunity to sign up for that payment option. Kelly explained that we should have called in a code, but we were never told or given any information to read about a code. I feel that at some point, it should have been his responsiblity to inform us when to apply and at least give us the "code". We're furious that we're facing interest on an $11,000.00 credit card bill (we pay the card off every month) because of his oversight. On the other hand, we are happy with the roof, we feel we made the right choice, and the workers were curtious, neat and friendly. They went to great lengths to protect our plants. We would like to make sure future customers know to ask about the "code" before they sign anything.

From start to finish, the company was easy to work with. They completed the work as estimated in a fast and professional manner. They used different crews for the roof and the gutters, so there was a week or so delay between getting the gutters installed. The company did contact me to alert me that they were delayed due to weather. All contacts were professional and polite. It was a simple, straightforward job, but they handled it promptly, efficiently, and cost effectively.

Kelly Wengerd, the Muth Sales Manager, did an exceptional job managing our roof project from beginning to end. He was the fist contact for discussions and pricing, but he was very responsive to every request. He gave personal and professional attention to an extensive project.

Estimator arrived on time and was professional. He gave me two estimates one for R-22 and one for R-44. I talked with them a second time and we arrived at the in between level of R38 for an in between price. Workers arrived on time and placed carpet covering over the hose areas. They explained what was going to happen, they did it and then explained what they did. They also cleaned up very well. Several days later, documentation was sent in the mail showing that the work had been done and to what standard.

Brian and Josh did amazing work. We were in the middle of the worst snowfall in at least 30 years. Before I called, ice and heavy, wet snow had built up on my roof at least 24-28" and was weighing heavy atop my porch roof, in particular. I was concerned with that and a visible, growing ice dam clogging up my second-story gutter. The front of the house is particularly vulnerable due to the slope of the roof and the position of the house. Snow from the back roof was blowing onto the front roof, causing a bad problem to be even worse. I am so grateful for their hard work. It was not easy work - they were out there in extremely cold, icy conditions manually chipping icy snow and packed ice out of the gutter. It was an unreal amount of snow/ice up there. After they were done they even shoveled the mounds of snow/ice off the driveway and walkway to my door. I couldn't ask for better service. And I'm certain the porch roof would have either collapsed or sustained major damage had they not done responded so quickly and done such a great job. THANK YOU.

They cleaned up after themselves. I had a slight problem with the gutters when they re-stuck them on there but they came out and corrected that; I didn?t have any problems apart from that. I would use them in the future, if necessary.

They did an excellent job. They cleaned up very well, and they did such a good job that three of our neighbors ended up using them as well. The roof looks beautiful, and the prices were reasonable.

They called me back fairly quickly. Their price was very reasonable. Everything went fine.

They were absolutely fantastic. They were meticulous in even inspecting their own roof. They found somethings that were not up to their standards and fixed them.

They came out during a very busy time when a lot of people had wind damage and were submitting insurance claims. They gave us a detailed walk through of the process of upgrading the roof, at our expense. They let us know the benefits in upgrading. We agreed to do all of that. They came out sooner than anyone else's contractors in the neighborhood. The other folks had gotten quotes prior to us getting our quote. We got the quote later than everyone else, but we got the work done sooner. I thought the price was good. They were very professional. We had an issue with the trim work after they were done. I called them up, and they came and took care of it the next day at no cost.

The only reason for giving Muth Roofing a D instead of an F is that the sub contractors they hired to actually install the roof did a good job. We called Muth Roothing for an estimate based on the Angie?s List ratings and a strong recommendation from friends. During our first meeting with the Sales Rep. from Muth Roofing I was very disappointed and was inclined to show him the door. In hindsight I should have followed my instincts. He made several claims regarding repairs to our existing roof that I questioned and later found out were false and misleading. He also touted his close personal friendship with the roofing inspection for our community. Apparently he was confused about the location of our house since our community does not require permits for roofing and there is no ?roofing inspector?. We needed an estimate for an insurance claim on our existing roof and for a new roof on an addition that was underway. To avoid construction delays we were forced to sign a contract to get the process started before the details for the roof on the addition were known. Later when the details were known, the Sales Rep. attempted to charge us double what the job should have cost. At that point we insisted on working with someone else from Muth. We were then presented with a ?bare bones estimate? that Chad Muth had to approve. The revised estimate was right in line with two other independent estimates we obtained for the same work. Each person we have dealt with, including Chad Muth, told us one weak excuse or another to justify the Sales Rep?s statements and behavior. It is my belief that the folks at Muth took advantage of our tight construction schedule and the fact that we had signed a contract for repairing the existing roof to inflate their estimate for the addition. (Quick note: GAF shingles and related products are sold by Home Depot.) During the installation process a number of questions came up and I was extremely disappointed with the arrogant and insulting attitude we experienced. As the owner of commercial properties in Columbus I work with a variety of contractors and have always been able to work out issues when work was incomplete or not to our satisfaction. With Muth I found it necessary to verify every claim they made with other local resources and the manufacturers of the products they installed. It seems to me that Muth Roofing is resting on their reputation and counting on homeowners not being able to catch mistakes or false claims used to inflate their estimates. When Chad Muth arrived at the work site unannounced I informed him that I had lost any faith in Muth Roofing and would be hiring someone to make an independent inspection of the roofing work when it was complete. Shortly after the roof was installed I received a call from a Muth representative insisting that we sign off on the job and make our final payment. I repeated that I was not willing to sign off on the work until I received an independent inspection. I also informed the caller that a section of roof which is nearly flat had been shingled when another material was required. He claimed that he and Chad Muth had walked the roof the day before and everything was perfect. He challenged me about where I was getting my information like I was a complete idiot. When I informed him that I had contacted the manufacturer of the shingles directly and local supply houses for roofing materials he simply replied they would get back to me and ended the call. The next day I received voicemail where the same individual sheepishly admitted they had made a mistake and would arrange to have the shingles removed and an appropriate material installed. At this point the job is still not done and I have lost all faith in Muth roofing. That leaves the options of finishing the job ourselves or hiring another contractor. We have withheld our final payment to Muth Roofing and will decide how to address that issue once we determine how we will address the incomplete work.

Muth went above and beyond the call of duty. They did a fantastic good! Pete Conley was unusually adept at interfacing with my insurance company, and with me. He was also good at supervising the works, inspecting, and finalizing. He is the best contactor that I have worked with, and I would recommend his service to anyone. Muth deserves their super service award!!

The house was only 2 years old so we wanted to match the shingles and only replace that section (the entire level, about 1/5th of the roof). Once the contract was signed they worked with our insurance company to come to a price agreement. Because there was a backlog of work from 2 storms it was 2 ? months before they got to ours. The tarp blew off at one point but they came out that day and reattached it. They matched the other shingles perfectly. The only poor experience was with Kelly their salesman. He almost broke the deal at the first appointment. After the work was complete he insisted on an appointment to pick up the payment but never showed up or called to cancel. I refused to deal with him further so stopped in to their office to pay and collect the final paperwork. We are thrilled with the work and everyone else at the company.

They replaced it with dimentional shingles. My roof had been damaged in the high wind storms. The representative from my insurance company came and Muth was here at the same time. I liked their people and felt they were best among the group of companies I received estimates from. I also liked the product they carried best. The rep from Muth went on the roof with the insurance rep and showed him the damage. They did a very professional job in the time specified. There was one problem because there were nails that had fallen into my neighbors yard. They came back and cleaned up everything. They were very personable and fit me in as soon as they could. The quality of the shingles was superior and they had, by far, the best product.

Kelly, Muth sales manager worked very hard with my insurance company to get me a fair settlement.

We had to replace rotten wood on both buildings and shingle the sides of our dormer walls on the main building. Prior to replacing the roofs we had to tear down a deteriorating chimney to the roofline and Muth and Co worked with our hired chimney vendor to complete the project. While replacing the turret with new shingles, the roofers discovered that the original metal frame at the base of the turret needed to be replaced. The original design and material of the base is no longer available so Muth and Co had to create the new metal base from scratch with a similar design. The roofs had not been replaced for years so we were expecting some major problems. Matt, our main contact, was outstanding and he stayed in contact with us during the entire project. Matt and the actual roof crew communicated with us from the very beginning to the end giving us updates and explaining the unexpected. All surprises were kept to a reasonable price and completed in a timely manner. We are extremely happy/satisfied with Muth & Co with their pricing, quality of work and customer service. Fixing up an old house can be frustrating, especially when replacing a roof but Muth & Co made the process extremely easy on our end. We would definitely recommend them and use them in the future.

When I approved the estimate I was contacted by the production department and the work was scheduled. Their employees arrived when promised, and called first to let me know they were on the way. They were friendly and professional, even when my dachshund decided they were international terrorists and wouldn't stop barking at them! The work was done well, and the area was left cleaner than when they arrived. The day after the work was done I got a call from the company asking if I was satisfied with the work. My gutter looks great, and I am well pleased with this company! They really know the meaning of "customer service!"

Muth is the only call you need to make! Especially if you like to know exactly what you are getting for your money and like to know what is going on with your project. I had a few other estimates but the lower prices did not include all the items that Muth includes with their roofing system. Muth was the only company that actually called after I got the estimate to see if I had any questions. I had a hard time with the insurance company regarding repairs to the roof caused by high winds. Once I chose Muth to do the job, Chad worked with the adjuster to help reach a resolution. Word of advice, let Muth be on the roof when the insurance company comes out the first time. That would have saved me months of aggravation. Even after the installation, Chad made sure that I was pleased with the finished product. Absolutely great customer service!!

Unbelievably well! Our roof was covered by insurance from last year's windstorm but Muth took it a step further and fought for additional coverage that was not noticed initially by the adjuster. Kelly Wingerd took care to explain everything in detail, including why they use certain materials and what was required by code. The clean-up was immaculate, which was especially important because we have a small dog and several specimen landscape plants.

It was a very smooth process. I called and received a quick appointment for Kelly to come out and explain their estimate. By far Muth and Company was the most detailed and was very open to answering any questions. Kelly spent a full hour explaining exactly what they intended to do. Unfortunately Muth and Company was over $2,000 more than my other THREE estimates. I even explained to Kelly that my settlement from the insurance was only for $7,000, but Muth came in at $8,454. Kelly did not add in the vented drip edge to the quote which would have added another $630 dollars to the total. If money was a non-issue I would have gone with Muth. They were very professional and I strongly believed in their quality. However, with the prospect of my husband and I having to pay almost $2,000 out of pocket, we ended up going with another company. We were still able to get upgraded shingles for just under what our insurance settlement was with the other contractor.
