Muth & Company Roofing

Contacted Muth for estimate, came to house within 3 business days of first call. Once estimate was received, called next day to confirm and to let me know I would receive a call to schedule work within a few days. Did receive a call, but do to weather, not able to schedule - did a very good job of keeping me informed. Received a call to schedule and work was completed within 2 days of that call. Overall, was very satisfied with professionalism and quality of work (have not received much rain since work was completed, but am confident if there are still issues - Muth will address!!)

First I had Multh do a small repair on my old roof several years before, and they did a fine job. At that time I had a small leak over my kitchen, and they inspected and repaired the leak very well. I contracted them to replace the decking and old roof a week prior to the job. The contract was drawn up efficiently, with all materials listed, and their warrantees. Their salesperson was very professional. When the day came for them to do the job, their crew arrived in early morning, and proceeded to remove the old roofing and decking. After they did so, they started installing the new decking and roof. That job was completed in early evening. Their foreman inspected the job as they were installing it, and afterward. Clean up was very conscientiously done. The removal of old gutters took place the following week, as well as installation of new gutters. As with the roofing job, the gutters were installated in a professional manner. I have had their services to clean my gutters, and that was done well also. I am very happy and satisfied to have a company like Muth take care of my roofing needs. They are reliable and honest, and I have recommended them to a friend, who was equally satisfied with their services.

The salesman, was very informative. The crew, was very professional, on time, very polite, and excellent clean up at each days end. Job was inspected every day.

I called them on the 6th of September and they came the next day. They repaired the area and did not charge me to fix it. They were very polite and timely. Everything went very well.

We've owned several homes previously and have never had to hire a roofer, so we had no idea who to call. We didn't want to pick a name out of the Yellow Pages, so we joined Angie's List. Living in Westerville, OH, we try to use local companies whenever possible, if they have a good reputation documented or someone refers us. Based on Angie's List information only, we called Muth Roofing for an estimate. They came out within two days of calling and were promptly at our door when they said they would be! On time - love it! The gentleman was very friendly, talked to us and explained it all to us, even when he was up on the roof! He checked the rest of the roof and noticed an issue with one of the two soilboots around an exhaust plumbing pipe also. He documented everything they would do to fix both issues; it was a very detailed estimate and included the price. We told him we wanted Muth to do the repairs and gave him a check for 50% down. He told us someone would call us to schedule an appointment to come out and fix it; they called us the next day to tell us they had found matching shingles and had all the materials needed to fix it. An appointment was then scheduled. They showed up on time for that appointment as well. They made the repairs, cleaned up all the debris and hauled it all away, just like they said in their estimate! The repair crew was friendly, courteous and did a very thorough job, they did not rush through it. From estimate to fix was a total of 4 days..... only because there was a weekend in between. Overall, they assessed, documented and repaired exactly what they said they would do.... and were friendly and courteous also. We will definitely use them again and have told several friends about their services. THANK YOU MUTH ROOFING!

I didn't like that we had to meet in person for the estimate, and he then called 3-4 times, leaving me messages about calling to schedule the work. He was friendly and professional when we met.. The quality of their work is probably good, but we felt the estimate was very high. I also didn't like that he kept calling.

It went well. They didn't find any problems, they did add a new coat of paint to the flashing. We were very happy with them.

I had a leak in my roof that was going through to my living room ceiling. Muth roofing tried to work me in as quickly as they could during a very wet spring. They left a phone message that they would be doing the work that day. I told them I wanted to be there when they did the work but wasn't able to get off work on such short notice. I didn't tell them not to come because I didn't want to lose my place to have the work done. I was able to have someone else inspect the work a few months later and everything had been done as quoted.

From the estimate and proposal to project completion, this was a totally professional job on all fronts. The proposal was presented and discussed by Sid, our project manager, who takes a very hands on approach to his work. He personally climbed in to our attic to inspect and verify our existing ventilation and any visual problem areas. Likewise, Sid was on our roof on the day the roofing crew was doing their work, inspecting and confering with the chief installer so that they both agreed on areas where care and work was needed. The 5 man work crew was amazing. They arrived on time, worked non stop except for a short lunch and put in 11 hours the first day, working till dark. They secured one small unfinished section of the roof for possible overnight rain, and returned at 8 the next morning to finish the job in three hours. At the request of Sid, the chief installer used a long extension ladder and cheerfully reattached one piece of siding, at the tallest portion of the house. This had been loose for 2 years. They were meticulous about protecting planters and shrubs, and about clean up. Besides using a wheeled magnet to attract any loose nails on the ground, the entire crew formed a line and walked the total perimeter of the house to gather up any small debris or nails. Several days after the project was completed, another field representative from Muth came by to ask about our satisfaction and any comments we might have about the project. He climbed up on the roof and inspected the completed job to be sure that the project was completed to Muth's high standard. We can honestly say that each and every member of the Muth team worked and performed as if it were their own home that they working on. The value we received for the money we spent was outstanding.

They did a good job, we are very pleased with their work.

I noticed one afternoon there was a block of ice in the gutter on the back of my house preventing the snow and ice from running down when it melted, the weight of the ice was also causing the gutter to pull away from the house. I called several companies for estimates and Muth was NOT the cheapest but their customer service was above and beyond from the original estimate through the follow up until I made a choice from the companies I had gotten estimates from. The original estimate went well, given the bad weather we were having at the time I planned on some delays etc. but the estimator showed up on time and went over all of my options and the choices I had to either repair or replace the gutters in addition to some additional work that I had asked about having done on the garage gutters. Their price was higher then the others but I felt very comfortable with them due to the level of customer service from the very start when I first called to make the appointment. I got a call a couple days after the estimate to "check in" on me and was very polite when I explained I was having 3 other companies come out to give prices as well. The gentleman I spoke with stated he would even stay in touch over the next week to see how everything was going. I made my choice and again was greeted with great customer service when I made my repair appointment and was told that due to a predicted storm incoming I might have to wait a couple days past the appointment but they would make their best effort to get it done as close to possible. The day of the appointment it was starting to snow early in the day when their workers arrived and said they would get it done before the storm hit hard so my gutters would be ready for it, they were working on the garage when I left for work and upon arriving back that evening all work was completed and they were long gone. Back to the customer service, I got a call that night asking how the work had went in addition to another "follow up" call a couple days later to see how everything was holding up. I have recommended them to others with any roof issues that I know and they even saved a co-worker a $6,000 roof replacement due to it being just a minor repair that she needed done vs. an entire replacement that another company quoted her.

They seemed a little pricey but on both issues, they came right out and took care of the problem quickly. They were able to give me quotes right away and the job turned out great.

We learned that we had blistered shingles that were a manufacturing problem. Chad worked with the shingle manufacturer to replace the bad shingles. Chad went above and beyond to ensure we got the most for our money. He does a great job explaining warranties which we did not know come in different packages. We had a basic warranty and although our previous roof was only 7 years old it only covered shingles at 100% for 5 years. After that shingles are prorated for replacement. From the beginning of our experience with Muth & Company Roofing Inc., we had a wonderful experience. Everyone we dealt with was curtious, knowledgable and were obviously concerned with meeting our needs. The roofing crew was so professional. They cleaned up any debris each day before going home and since the work is finished I have not had to do any cleanup. We feel that we have gotten the best roof with a fantastic warranty. I would like to add that Chad worked hard for us even though his company was not the original roofing company. I wish they had been and if we ever move we will definitely use Muth & company Roofing Inc. again.

Good experience. They called me to initiate the possible service contract to check the roof for damage/repair, check and clean gutters. When the person came to give me the estimate, he said they could also paint the chimney and include that in the price of the service. They came back, did the work and it looks great. They sent me a bill, I paid it, done. No hassles.

Crew showed up on time, they were polite, and clean (no trash, and they were extremely cognizant of my flowers and plants). The work took two full days. Each evening they used a magnet around the house to pick up any stray nails. The foreman showed up regularly, and the salesmen even came every day, sometimes a couple of times a day. He even was on the roof several times.

It went very well! Our salesperson, Kelly, did a good job explaining the process and features of their services and products. The work was done soon after we contracted it. The workers arrived that morning at 8:00 a.m. and they worked diligently until 7:30 p.m. or so that night. Throughout the day, a person reported to us where they were in the process. They cleaned up beautifully and took care not to harm any of the landscaping. Kelly came back out to see if we were happy with the work and then we paid him for the remainder of the contracted fee. I feel we have a good quality roof now, with a company who will back up their guarantees. I would definitely recommend them to others.

The work was excellent. The person who came and did the estimate was very good, and he explained everything in detail as to what they were going to do. The quality of the work was superb. The crew was very clean, and they spent a lot of time cleaning the property afterwards. The thing that really surprised me was that the next day I found one nail in my bushes, so they came back with about three or four guys for two hours and covered my yard looking for any nail debris, and they found a couple more; it was pretty impressive. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

They seemed to have done everything right, except they gave me the wrong color shingles at first, but they came back and put in the correct ones. The leaked stopped after they re-caulked the entire roof for me. They painted everything that needed it. They were nice people.

I am very happy with all aspects of the project. They have been working with me. I have been very happy with them. It was a manufacturing problem. They have been working with the manufacturer, trying to get the manufacturer to pay around 70% for the new shingles. Then they are going to do the roof. They have not even asked money where they have sealed the leaking. They are very reliable.
