John came highly recommended by United Window. He repaired my old windows when we were preparing our house for sale last fall. No one else would take on the job. He was quick and did excellent work!

I tried to replace the back door on my detached garage with a new 36-inch steel door. However, I was unable to get the door to close because I was trying to fit it into an out-of-true opening. (It's an old garage.) After I called Honey to Do, John came out the next day and set about adjusting the door. It took some doing, but he was able to adjust it sufficiently that the door now closes easily. I was grateful for his promptness and expertise.

It went very well. I would definitely use him again. He was very professional and arrived right on time. He was very efficient and cleaned up after himself. He explained exactly what he was going to be doing. The first time he came he ordered the window piece and it had to be custom ordered and he took care of that. He explained that once it came in, he would call me back. We coordinated the next appointment when he actually came to do the repair. He was friendly and we talked about caulking the windows while he was doing the repair. I asked him about other services they provide and he provided me with some information on that. He was very punctual. The price was in line. I would absolutely use them again.

Honey To Do provided me many handyman services. Repaired a plumbing leak, installed bath faucet, repaired and replaced some siding on our home, installed door security hardware, installed outdoor security lighting, re plumbed a side door so it would close properly, and repaired the wood on a window that had been damaged. The owner of Honey To Do ( John ) would frequently make suggestion to improve the way something worked or looked. He always showed up on time and was very fair in the time a job took. I have used Honey To Do on three separate occasions and I'm sure I will use them again

John and his partner did a great job. I had taken down the handrail to paint thinking I'd reinstall is myself but then realized that the brackets were mismatched and the rail itself was not in any studs. Honey to Do changed out the brackets and reinstalled the handrail into studs.

Our house is in contract and our buyer was coming to measure some things on a Saturday. The preceding Thursday evening my spouse took a tumble on the stairs and we ended up with a decent sized hole in the wall along the stairs. I called John first thing Friday morning, and he actually went out of his way to meet me at our house at noon (worked around my work schedule) and spent the time to repair the hole that same day. When I told him I would paint the repaired area myself, he was nice enough to explain how to feather the paint in to make it blend in with the rest of the wall. I did the painting Saturday morning and there was no sign of the hole in the wall when the buyer came a couple hours later. John also came back out the following week to repair the ceiling in the garage where water from recent storms had leaked in. He also helped me find the source of the leak on the roof. John was very professional and thorough. I can't express how much I appreciated his willingness to help me out. I am a new Angie's List member and this experience could not have been more positive. I highly recommend John to anyone needing help with home maintenance and repairs.

Showed up on time, but had a second worker with him so the rate per hour that he quoted us was doubled ($60 per hour became $120 per hour - found this out when we were billed) . Was here six-and-a half hours. Replaced one window with one we already had - no problem. However completed weather stripping on very few of the windows and didn't true them.

Response from Honey to Do Ltd
were emailed the estimate Dated 4/02/13 which clearly states All of the cost involved. The Estimate clearly stated Install weather strip as needed and service windows adjust if possible. There were no surprises. Time and material including the labor rate per man per hour is listed in the first 2 sentence's of the estimate. This was also communicated to Mr. Claman in a phone conversation prior to us showing up to do the work on 4/23/13 @ 8:00 am and at the time of the initial visit to look at the windows on 4/01/13 @ 5:30 pm. The customer supplied window that we replaced was warped from the way the customer had stored it and we had to spend some additional time fitting it to the opening in order to get it to work. The other windows in the house that we worked on required removal of the operating casement sash form the opening in order to replace the weather strip. We used 44 lineal feet of weather strip on the casement sash that we felt needed it at the time of the work. Certain piece's of weather strip replacement required removal of the casement sash from the opening due to the design of the window in order to access the weather strip. Some of the units required shim washers be installed to improve the operation of the casement sash in the existing opening , these sash also required removal in some instances to install the shim. It required 2 persons in order to do them safely. The cost of the weather strip is clearly identified in the estimate also. The operating casement windows were adjusted as much as possible in the existing openings. They were also lubricated per the estimate. All of the above work was completed properly and professionally.

John was a lifesaver... After all the cold weather one of the handles came off the shower faucet and water was going everywhere. I turned the main valve off but good luck finding a plumber with all the frozen pipes - everyone said it would be 3 days. Since I have a boiler I was concerned about keeping the water to the house turned off. I called John and he came over that morning, found out what was wrong, went and got the part and repaired the faucet. Then when he was testing it the other handle came off - they had apparently both frozen (?) - so he went back out, got another part and fixed the other handle. Thank goodness he tested both before he left! I've used John for many other projects and he always does great work.

I hired John again to install 3 ceiling fans. Two flush mount and one on a vaulted ceiling. John is always professional, polite, and thorough. He and Rick arrived on time, used booties on their shoes, installed the fans perfectly and cleaned up. John also gave me very helpful advice regarding my air ducts which I asked him about. I highly recommend him!

This was a complicated job and John did it well. He gave us a detailed estimate. The job ended up taking several hours longer than he anticipated, but he didn't charge us any more than the quoted price. Other estimates were several hundred dollars higher. While he was at the house, he spotted several other things that may need to be repaired, which we appreciated.

EXCELLENT! Let me repeat ... EXCELLENT. Great gentlemen. The repair was so well done, I only wish they had built my home in the firs place. Further, as an amateur home fixup guy, I was in the midst of installing some new wood trim and when they saw what I was doing, they took the time to show me how to properly use a coping saw ... and ven left one with me to use for mty small project. What more can I say?
Description of Work: I had originally contacted Honey To Do in regard to a rotted piece of wood trim, something I would typically have repaired myself but was too busy to do. The estimate was very fair based upon ahourly rate. Mr. Bronner's associate came out and quickly discovered I had a more serious problem. Due to some moisture (that damaged the visible trim board), carpenter ants had chewed into the wood behind the visible area. Fortunately, the damage was confined to a fairly small area. They recommended an insect control company (Environmental Pest Management) and they came out and treated the area to kill any insects prior to repairs being undertaken.
