The repairman arrived when he said he would and did a good job. He was very pleasant and helpful.

My wife called and left a message at 5:20pm on a Thursday Evening. They called back about an hour later and gave us two available options the next day. John, the repairman, came out and fixed the spring as well as oiled all the rollers, tightened all the bolts (and added a few), reprogrammed the garage door opener, and even fixed a couple of parts that were installed incorrectly on the garage door opener. He was done with everything in about an hour. Very professional.

I called this company and made an appointment and they never called or showed up. Very unprofessional.

The Duppy Garage Door Service technicians diagnosed and fixed my garage door. The service was excellent and the price was fair.

I had the pleasure of having Joe come out for an emergency garage situation. He was prompt and professional. He replaced my broken spring so that i was able to get my car out of the garage. He checked both my doors and discovered that not only was i about to have my cable snap but it also had no safety in place for the spring. This is a huge safety issue and could have injured any of my family members at any moment. He replaced not only a broken spring but a frayed cable and well as a new roller for one of the door. I really appreciate him being able to come out so fast and doing such a professional job.

My husband called and made an appt. with Duppy's and they were supposed to come out on 12/16 between 12-3:00pm. I took off work early to wait for them at my house. No one showed and I tried calling at 3:00, 4:00, 4:30, 5:00 with no answer. I left 3 messages asking where they were and my final message explained don't bother showing up at this point. Finally, at 6:00pm I received a call that there was a mix-up with their new computer system and my appointment was never dispatched. While errors, like this can occur and can be overlooked; not picking up your business phone calls or messages for over 3 hours during business hours is completely unacceptable in my book.

We were panicked late Friday evening when we could not close the garage as it was connected to our house, making it a security risk and open invitation to nighttime critters to visit! I requested an appointment with two providers via Angie's list electronically. Duppy's responded before 8 a.m. in the morning while I never heard from the other company. They were working on my door before 9 a.m.! Though I wished the repair was cheaper, I had no reason to distrust their diagnosis. The repair makes the door run more smoothly and quietly than it ever has before, which is proof we needed it. The tech also explained how it will be cheaper to maintain than the part it replaced because the springs are visible and easier to get to. He also suggested other repairs to the sealing trim along the bottom and side that he could do, but could also be done ourselves (which is the option I took).

He was professional, on time and finished the job quicker than what he quoted me.

Wonderful. I have been using Duppy's doors for almost 15 years. Same great service as always. Even though the openers in this house are not the best quality, he called the manufacturer and got the thing fixed.

Our experience with them was very poor. Actually, we would not refer them to anybody. They were very unprofessional and we actually found a bottle of beer in our garage. The service was fine. It was just that professionalism was lacking. It was very bad. I think their pricing was average. I do not remember it being ridiculously priced. The garage door works fine now.

We decided to go with another door installation company that actually returned our phone calls. Very disappointed in Duppy's Door Service responsiveness to potential customers.

Per our conversation the day before the repair Mr Duppy insisted that both sides of the cable needed fixed due to the age of them. I agreed to the estimate and he came out the next day. My husband was out of town, it was Thanksgiving day, I had company in town and was making dinner. No way could I stand over him and watch every move he made. Later when my husband got home he caught that he didn't bother to fix both cables. He also didn't bother to discard his trash, he just left it all on the floor. My husband gave Mr Duppy a phone call. After several days and messages he finally got in touch with him. Mr Duppy gave my husband some ridiculous reason why both sides didn't need repaired. He said the right side didn't have any rust on it so he decided not to replace it. The day before on the phone he insisted that we replace it because both sides were 27 years old. I really think that's a decision the homeowner should have made and not him. It was a really cold day and he was complaining how cold his hands were. I think he just wanted out of there as soon as possible. In his defense he did come out on Thanksgiving day and for that I even gave him a tip. If you are a single woman, your husband isn't there with you or you just do not know what you are watching for I would not hire this company. I could kick myself for hiring this company. Lesson learned! There are many other garage door companies to choose from.

One word - EXCELLENT. They are a great company who will check out everything first before making a decision. If it's needed they'll do it, if not, they won't. I'd highly recommend this company.

Excellent service. I was told when I'd get a call back and they both met that timeline and had someone on their way in less than 24hrs. John arrived and had all the tools needed and performed the replacement of both springs and a bracket in less than an hour. He was both friendly and professional.

I contacted the original company that did work on my garage door, and he was very responsive. (Clymer Door). However he retired and a new firm bought his business number. I called them, they called back, but never followed up the following day. My wife gets her hair cut by Chris Duppy, and she said I should call them. I am glad I did. I called they notified a repairman, and they called me back to assure someone was home when he came later that day. He was at my house for about an hour, and totally fixed my mistake. More importantly, it was worth every penny. I am going to replace the garage door in the spring, and I will be using Duppy's for the job. They were excellent! Tim Goggin

They showed up right on time. Completed work promptly. Replaced a cable that was beginning to fray and performed overall check of equipment making necessary adjustments. Workers were professional and pleasant. Very pleased with work.

They did a very good job for me in repairing my garage door. They actually came over very promptly (making a special trip) because my car was stuck inside the garage. I would highly recommend them to others.

It went very well. I marked the price as a 'B' mostly because we didn't shop around. However, the price was in line and the company was very easy to work with to get job done.

My garage door spring broke on Thursday afternoon about 4:45. Called Duppy and they told me the earliest they could make it would be the next day at 8:00am. Set the appointment. Technician called at 8:20 and said he was on his way. When he arrived, he told me it would a good idea to replace both springs. I asked if they gave Angie's list discounts and he said no. I told him to go ahead. He was done in about 45 minutes. Costed about $290 to replace both springs.

Replaced garage door springs a couple of days after they broke. Also adjusted the opener and now everything works great and runs quieter.

The morning of July 23rd, I was backing out of my garage having not noticed the door did not go up all the way. I bent the garage door and knocked if off the track. Thankfully, there was no damage to my car. I called Duppy's, since they had done work for me the previous year, and asked them how quickly they could come out since I could not get the door to move at all and could not get to work. They had someone out by noon that same day. I found Duppy's because the previous year the garage door opener broke and that was all home warranty work. ABC Home Warranty sent Duppy's. The gentleman that did the work in 2013 was very friendly. He even installed a new button and left a sticker on the wall with their contact information. I know the button was probably part of installing the new opener, but the old one was hanging by the wire out of the wall by the previous owners of my newly purchased condo. The contact information sticker came in very handy this 2nd time I needed Duppy's, because I didn't have to do any Google searches, etc. The gentleman that came out this year was very nice and I felt comfortable around him. He worked quickly to get the door open so I could get to work. He very quickly found out what was wrong: One of the springs had broken the previous night and since there was only one working spring the door malfunctioned. I did not notice it because the spring and wires were still wrapped around the top of the track. He said unless I had specifically been looking for the break I would not have seen it. He asked me to go ahead and call ABC because the one broken spring would be warranty work. He then asked if I wanted to go ahead and replace the second spring at my own cost and I agreed because I didn't want this to happen again. I feel the cost was very fair. Although I found Duppy's through my home warranty company, I am definitely a customer for life. No matter where I live in the Columbus area, I will be calling on Duppy's in the future even if it's not warranty work.

Joe took his time and fixed things I hadn't noticed. The springs needed adjusted, a hinge was broken and the opener was not correctly attached to the garage door, which was causing parts of my door to crack. Joe reinforced where the opener attaches to the garage door, and also reinforced the 2 sections that had cracked. He replaced the trolley & lubricated all moving parts. I didn't know it could be so quiet!!! He also checked the reverse safety function - which wasn't working - and fixed that too. Now there is less strain on my opener & the garage door - which saves me money in the long run.

The tech came out promptly and assessed the damage. He said he would have to call the manufacturer. We never heard from or saw him again. We just went back to Lowe's where we purchased the door and ordered a new one today because we are afraid it will totally collapse with use.

Called Duppy's Door Service on 5/29/14 and email Duppy's through Angie's List web site, and called them again on 5/30/14 requesting and preferring there service. As of 06/02/14 I have NOT heard a word from Duppy's. I used Grove Overhead Door. NO MORE DUPPY's for me.

He arrived when he said he would arrive but immediately complained about the Genie brand of garage door opener. The opener had lost its code. I wanted to change the opener code and he found the sequence to change the code and asked me to get something to write it down. We changed the code and he drove off without giving me the sequence. I tried to flag him down 1/2 way down the street but he wouldn't stop. As he was driving away, he made the comment that he hopes the next customer doesn't have a Genie garage door opener. To my knowledge it is a very popular brand and while I understand it might not be his favorite, some comments are better left unsaid. I felt he was very unprofessional and do not plan to use him again. I have used about 3 different garage door companies in the past and he was by far the worst one.
