I'd heard good things about West Jefferson Plumbing and Heating through a co-worker. When I made the appointment, I was surprised and happy to hear their service area extended to my neighborhood without extra travel charges. They also got me on the schedule at a time that was convenient for me. The staff was courteous and professional all the way around. They explained their cost structure up front. At the appointment, the technician (Bob) quickly corrected my botched DIY fix-it job. He was friendly and more than willing to explain what he was doing. It was a simple repair, but, in hindsight, also a great way to try out a service company. Now, I know who I'll call should a more complex problem come up in the future.

I have used West Jeff for all my heating and cooling work, as well as major plumbing, for nearly 20 years. They are very knowledgeable and professional, do quality work, and are extremely fair-priced. To top it all, they have a well-deserved reputation for being trustworthy and honest, and my experiences echo that.

Excellent service. Same day response with temporary fix. Replacement scheduled and completed as promised. Service technician and installer were both very professional. Would use again.

Got us fit in pretty quickly. Unfortunately the first time around it seemed to work for a little while, then stopped putting out heat. Our repair guy stopped by and took a second look on his way home. Ended up being a burned out control board (which sucks) but the got it fixed promptly.

I worked with Ivan Mast on determining my needs. I was unsure if I wanted to replace the heat pump or just go with A/C. Ivan suggested a duel fuel options that has an outside sensor that would allow you to change the changeover point inside the house. I just set the temperature I want the heat pump to kick off and the furnace kick on. Ivan also discussed the benefits of the variable speed furnace compared to my current furnace. With the tax credits and rebates offered, I saved $2000 lowering my total cost to just over $5000. The installation was very professional and the guys cleaned up everything. They took extra steps to explain the benefits of the new units. I was very pleased with them and continue to have them service my units yearly.

We needed a new water heater, and Ivan from West Jeff went through all of the options with us - I was considering a tankless version, and he priced and explained the cost and energy use differences. In the end, we decided to stay with a gas storage model. West Jefferson's installer had to deal with our very old basement, which has 5 foot ceilings and a dirt floor and no drain, and he did the work very well and without complaint. He even had to pump out the old water heater before he could remove it since there is no drain in our basement in which to dump it out. Ivan was also helpful, finding a water heater that would fit our needs and not be too tall for our very short ceiling height. They will be my first call when we replace our furnace this fall.

I contacted the company on Monday and due to over the weekend plumbing emergencies I wasn't able to get an appt till Tuesday morning which was fine with me. The technician (Nathan) arrived within the time frame given. He removed his shoes upon entering my home which is always a BIG PLUS in my book as I have children that crawl around on my floors. He worked on the disposal and once he realized the coin was not coming loose easily he recommended replacing the disposal unit. He offered to continue working at the coin if I preferred but I felt in the end it would be better to replace the unit. Nathan was professional and courteous the entire time he was here and the overall experience was pleasant as it always is when I use this company. Nathan answered all the questions that I asked. They've also done work on our furnace and replaced our air conditioner on previous visits. An A+++++++ company in my book. Only thing I'm bummed about is that I didn't check for coupons! They don't offer coupons for heating/cooling services so I assumed it was across the board. I found the 5% coupon after the fact but this is no fault to the company or tech because I never mentioned that I was an Angie's List customer.

West Jefferson Plumbing and Heating came recommended to me from a friend. I have been using them for the past twenty years. I like the men who work for the company. I am not afraid of them. They have been very responsive to my needs. I will continue to use them in the future.

Another company's technician told me that because of a short in the outside heat pump/AC, the whole unit had to be replaced. A sales person from this company showed, and gave me estimates from approx $4000 to $8500. I called West Jefferson Plumbing for a second opinion. The technician told me that I only needed the compressor replaced for approx $1200. Even though the unit was old, he persevered and found out the unit was still on warranty. New cost will be less than $800.

They are as honest as the day is long and they do good work. They are very responsive. They are not going to sell you something just to sell you something. They explain the differences between products. The just do nice, clean work at a fair price.

Called them in the evening about leaking tank and they came out promptly the next day with a new tank, installed it, cleaned up. Explained how it works, answered my questions. Reassured me and treated me respectfully (even though I have not a clue about plumbing!)

When I called they asked what type I would want, worked with me. Plumber arrived on time, brought the toilet, got right to work and cleaned up afterwards. He even installed a paper holder that I had trouble securing. Oh, and he installed new faucet that I had purchased.

They were wonderful. The service technician was actually early. He got the problem diagnosed quickly and had it fixed promptly. The cost was very reasonable compared to the others we contacted. He was totally knowledgeable and able to answer all questions.

Great. All three men were nice and professional. They explained what they were doing and got it done. We had a long day, but the list was extensive. We will use them again for other properties.

I was very pleased with West Jefferson. They have been my plumbing people for many years. They do quality work.

The plumbing was a mess and they made it look much neater.

We had a problem with the air conditioner. They came out and replaced the regulator. It's over 9 years old, so needed to be checked out. They were out the next day after I called! If we have problems we contact them immediately. They've also helped me with a sump pump. They replaced the sump and the drain. I'm very happy with them.

The repairman found that a relay switch had gone bad. He also took the time to check the A/C unit out thoroughly and also hosed out the unit in the back of the house. I was very impressed with their prompt, friendly and thorough service and will definitely use this company again.

I have been using them for years. They not only do the job they will give you good information and they will educate you.

They came on a Sunday and did the job at a regular rate and did a great job. I trust them and feel safe having them in my home

They actually found that a mouse had nestled in to the unit and chewed up some wires. They changed the filter and serviced the unit and replaced the wire that the mouse had eaten through. However, they didn't fix the caulking but they didn't know about this until the repair man came out.

Our bathroom faucet wouldn't shut off and the hot water just kept running. Also we were unable to get any cold water coming out of the shower/sink faucets. I called West Jefferson Plumbing around 12:30 today and they came right out. Nathan was here by 1:30. He quickly assessed and fixed our problems for a very reasonable price. We now have cold running water again and the faucet is no longer running. They were very responsive to my needs and really helped me out in a pinch. It is a Friday today too!! I am very pleased and plan to call them for all of my plumbing needs in the future. Very clean and professional!

They were great! They were on time, their work was perfect! Very professional. I could call with a problem and be out in 24 hours! Their employees have worked for that company for an average of 10 years;it shows a lot for that company!
