. One error after another. They say they will make it right but they can't seem to communicate within the company. Treated lawn during draught after I called to request they not treat. Unless you want to make managing your lawn care a full time job for yourself, do not use this company.

I have my lawn treated 5 times annually. So far, Scott's has done a superior job. My lawn technician is very knowledgeable.

We’ve been dealing with them for the past four years! There are some really tough weeds that grow in this area, and even with their products, it takes a couple of years to get these weeds under control, but their work has dramatically helped our lawn. I feel like I get what I pay for and our lawn is much greener and healthier!

The lawn is generally as good or better than any in the neighborhood. They are very professional and service when they say they will. I would have given an overall "A" rating except for price and what appears to me to be "churn". Scotts national program talks about their "step" program and that lawn feeding should be about 6-8 weeks. It feels to me that I get much more frequent service than that. More like every 5 weeks. Not including the grub treatment I had seven lawn treatments this year. They start in March and run to November. On top of that, I had six tree and shrub treatments not including the oil treatment. I started this service as I felt they could do a better job for the money than I could but over time as the prices have gone up and the service more often, I am looking to going back to doing basic service myself. I also used the Ortho insect foundation service for awhile but quit that when I saw they sprayed the same spray around the foundation that they were using on the trees and did the service at the same time but I got an additional service charge of nearly $60 each time for doing it so I do it myself now.

I can tell that there is a difference in the weed control in our yard.

I used them prior to using another company. They were regular and they were on time. They were out there when they said they were going to be. It was okay; it wasn’t great. I still had a few weed problems, but they did a pretty good job. Their price was a bit high. I didn’t switch because I wasn’t really dissatisfied. I switched only because the other company was a little less costly and I know some people that have used them. I have been with Tru Green a long time and I just thought I would try something different. If the other company does not work out, I will probably go back to Tru Green.

They come and treat every year the amount of times I request and never try to push more treatments than requested. Just received first treatment for the year in March.

I use them quarterly. They are very good and reliable.

I think their prices are reasonable. I have been using them for about 4 or 5 years. They are professional and reliable. I plan to continue with their services.

What a bill of goods. During the sales call, all great promises--the actual delivery was nothing like the picture painted. We had continuous problem with weeds. Wrong product was applied. Calls were not returned. Product was applied when we asked them to stop. Some of the visits were less than 2 minutes to "spray" the entire yard. Never again. We were able to make a comparison with our next door neighbor's yard and his lawn service--what a difference.

I refer them to family and friends and will use them again in the future.

We are very pleased with them. We have a contract for them to come out. They do the pre-emergency and all that stuff. We don't want to fool around with chemicals. We do our lawn and everything with them. It's too much of a trouble and too dangerous for us. We've had them for years. We are satisfied with them and we can't compare them with anybody else. We just get a bill. They finish up, they put the bill on the door and we pay it. They have a program and they send a card out telling us when they would be coming which is nice. If not we put on the calendar to make sure they can get in. They are professional and the people who come out are very comfortable to talk to. We are happy with them. We have no complaints at all. As far as a lawn service is concerned, we look at the results and that's all we want. If we have a problem, they'll come out and there's no charge. If we have some weeds and stuff, we'll call them. They'll stop by and do it and they won't charge us. If one is got a contract and they are not happy with, they'll come out and make it right. I can't compare their price. I would only give them a B if there was something that I didn't like about them. I would have to give them an A because I've been getting them for years. As far as the quality, all we know is our lawn looks good. We've got a lawn that's 27 years old. We can have them take it out and put in new grass as the new grass would be a lot better and greener, but they are doing the best with what we have. Nobody could do any better. We never know what time of the day they would come out, but when they say they are going to come out, they come out. They have called in and said that can't come because of weather and this and that. If they don't come out, they'll let us know when they'll be coming out again. It's very rare that they've not come out. We are fine with that. They are very helpful and if we ask them, they'll say that they've done it already or they'll say that they'll come back and redo it. They'll do what we want.

They meet their commitments. If there is a problem, they always get back to me within a day or so. I'm happy about that.

The mail issue is that the price quoted was for a larger yard and the actual charge was more than it should have been. This is my second attempt to work with this company....never again. Marketing is unclear-at least in my view. I thought I was paying for services that turned out not to be included. Bottom line they are deceitful and it's just not acceptable. I don't mind paying for service but I expect integrity!

Soon after hiring Scott's, I had weeds growing in my lawn like I'd never seen in the previous 20 years. The lawn looked absolutely awful. I fired them after four months. A couple months later, with a new lawn service, the lawn is looking better. I've tried a few different lawn services over the years, and Scott's was by far the worst for my lawn.

They are the best ones I've had thus far. I have used several other companies in the last 30 years and they seem to be the best. I am on a contract and they come 5 or 6 times a year. They do all 30 major league ballparks. They even give little magnets with all the emblems of the teams. To me I can check their work by looking at Wrigley Park or Great American Ballpark. I feel that if they are good enough for a ball base field or golf course, they should be able to handle my yard. I tell them I want my yard to look like the outfield at Great American Ballpark and it has improved in the last six months since I switched to them. They are also about half the price compared to another company. They are doing a better job for half the price of what the other companies charge. They are very good. I can ask them to reschedule and they come the next day. They are very accommodating. I am really into my yard and I want it to look the best. It is like a frame of a picture around my house.

They are great. They come out and do their job well. They leave good notes and do honest billing. They are nice guys when they come. They are really nice and they've been doing my lawn care for years. I've used for three years or so. They are great and I've never had an issue.

Don' t ever use "Scotts" of West chester

They came and looked at my yard a few times. I was not real happy with the service. I still found a lot of weeds in my yard.

The price was great, but the weed killer didn't work as well as I expected. Six weeks later, I still had a large dandelion problem and had another company come out and their weed killer got 98% of the weeds in our 0.5 acre lot within the next 1.5 weeks. I was very happy with the deal from Scotts, but it wasn't the quality I was looking for. As for the other reviews I've read regarding bad experiences with Scotts, you have to keep in mind last year (2010) there was a drought. Knowing also that some people don't water their lawns as they should or they cut it too short, or just expect too much from a single application, that there might be more going on behind the scene than what Scotts is responsible for. Scotts did a good job for the price I paid. If you want really quality results and a lush looking yard, I found it, but I had to pay more and use a different company.

Overall, the job was fine. I would classify the treatment as "fine." I was taken a back by them. I have decided to change companies and work with a company who will work with my lawn clean-up service. Scotts called and asked why I was going to another company. I have no problem giving them feedback why I left. I told them I wanted to give this other company a try. The manager for Scotts trash-talked the other company, and I have a problem with that. I do not appreciate that. It will be a cold day if I go back to Scotts. I have no knowledge if I will stay long term with the new company or not, but Scotts ruined their chances of me returning to them for service.

Last year, provided a quote for $50/treatment. Did several treatments, then this year the price went up to almost $80. Tried contacting them on numerous occasions and was told I'd receive a call back to explain why the price went up, but never did get the call. Then, they came out AGAIN and charged the higher price AGAIN. I was again assured I'd get a call back, but never did, so I cancelled service.

We had used them for about eight years. They used to be on time and provided good service. They did a great job even during rainy weather. We are not using them now. We just didn't like the sales rep. We told them when we discontinued their service. We had a yearly contract with them for fertilization and weed control. They used to charge us annually. We paid for five general services, and we would continually get calls asking us whether we would like to schedule whatever treatment was coming up, only to find out that it would be an additional service. Also, their price was on the higher end of lawn care service.

I stopped using their services in the winter and they still did a treatment or two in the spring. I stopped using them because they were constantly calling trying to sell us different things. They were very high pressure on sales stuff. I was not happy once Chem Lawn bought them out. We had used Chem Lawn at three different houses in three different states and did not like them. We had been with Tru Green for a couple of years so we decided that we would stick with them even though they had been bought out but we didn?t like the high pressure sales calls from 8 in the morning until 9:45 at night. The final straw was that my son had bought a house and I agreed that I would pay for the first year to get his lawn in shape and we were supposed to be getting bills at our house but we were not. They called and I paid the past due bill. Then we cancelled his service a year ago and this year they called again at very inconvenient times and said that we hadn't paid a bill and that we had to pay it now. I usually pay the bills online the same day as I get them. The final straw was that I had just picked the bill up in the mail that day and they were calling for a past due bill that had just been mailed out two days previously. We got tired of the phone calls; it was ridiculous how many times they called trying to sell all kinds of services. The lawn looked okay and I wasn't unhappy with how the lawn looked. I was just unhappy with how they handled stuff. The quality of their work was good but not the way they handled their customer service. They showed up whenever and I didn't really care for that. Their pricing was a lot higher than anywhere else. I wouldn't recommend them to anybody but apparently a couple of my neighbors liked the way our yard looked and signed up because Tru Green brought me a couple of bags of ice melt this winter. They said it was because I had referred my neighbors and I told them I didn't refer anybody.
