Greg was very prompt in meeting me at the job site. We reviewed what work needed to be preformed. Greg called me with his bid as promised. He followed up with a written bid by e mailing the bid to me. I obtained three bids for this project. Greg`s bid was very competitive but not the lowest. I had used Greg in the past to paint my kitchen in my previous home his workmanship was top notch. Once again I was very impressed with his workmanship and could tell he was determined to finish the job on time and more importantly that I was satisfied with the final product. If you need a painter that is prompt, very skilled at his trade, price competitive and determined to satisfy his customers Greg is your man!

I had purchased a big deal coupon some time ago and arranged with Greg to make use of it later. He came to the house and we decided what work would be done.he was already booked up so we waited until after Christmas. I found it easier to get information on details and dates via email. I was very, very pleased with his work. He cleaned up thoroughly, too, and I will be using his services again in the future.

The work he did was good. He was very nice. There were two people here but one guy was more of an assistant. He did charge us extra since he had two people here and he was here longer than 4 hour.

Greg and his assistant arrived on schedule. Their work was excellent. They were very careful to cover up everything, carefully moved the furniture and cleaned up as they went. The ceiling looks great!

I wanted him to do painting, but also some drywall work too. He promised to get back to me, but he never did. It didn’t need the job to be done right away, but 2 years has passed and I have called him several times in regards to that. He remembers me and said he would be out, but he has not been out since. He has mentioned that he is so busy though.

He told me what day he would come out and he came on that day. They were very prompt! They did a wonderful job. It was beautiful and it looked really nice! He finished in timely manner and it was really a good experience!

He was very hard working and diligent. Some of the paint is peeling off the some of the wood under the paint is rotting, but it has been about a couple years since he did the work and it’s inevitable. I might call him back to see if he can make it right and do some other stuff.

I have used Greg Jungkuntz, the owner of Smiley's Painting and Home Repair, for several small jobs over the last couple of years, and have always been very pleased with his work. This year he painted the entire exterior of my house. I had waited a little too long to get this done, so there was a lot of repair work to be done due to weather damage over the years. He did a wonderful job. He was very meticulous and gave conscientious attention to every detail. He helped me pick the colors, and repaired siding, trim, and window sills, as well as painting. My neighbors have been very complimentary about how nice the house looks now. He was very responsive to my requests, and made sure that I was happy with what he was doing at every stage. I would recommend him for all kinds of handyman work as well as painting, both because of the high quality of the work he does, and because he is very reasonable in his pricing. He responds quickly in an emergency, too, as I learned when I had a leaky basement problem. He helped me diagnose the problem, find the right vendor to fix the outside drainage problem which caused the leak, and cleaned and painted the affected room. I recommend him highly.

I called Greg for an estimate and he called back promptly to schedule a time. He gave me a thorough written estimate via email. He showed up when he said he would and painted the areas as mentioned above. He was very cautious as to not get any paint or debris on the new carpet. He was meticulous in his work....detail oriented. He prepared all surfaces prior to painting...fixing nail pops etc. He did not expect any payment until the work was completed to my satisfaction. I ended up paying less than the estimate because it did not take him as long as he estimated. He also used less paint than estimated and that was reflected in the final cost as well. I do not know how other painters charge for paint but I know that Greg did not mark up the paint he used. He purchased the paint with his contractor discount but did not inflate the cost for me. I plan on using Smiley's Painting to do some exterior work for me in the Spring. By the way, he is a one man business and you have to take that into consideration when you seek his services.

Job was finished as promised for the agreed amount. The sealer was applied with a roller, then brushed out. The deck faces the south-west, so Greg had to plan his work to avoid applying the sealer when the sun was on the deck. The quality of the work was excellent at a good value.

Bought a deal on Angie's List. Called provider after deal had expired, but he honored it anyways. He hung 2 bathroom mirros and several pieces of art in our living room. Overall, was efficient, frniendly and nice work.

Greg and his assistant arrived as agreed in advance. They completed all work requested within the original estimate for schedule and price. They left no mess left behind, quality of work was superior and Greg was very persistent in confirming that my expectations for each work item were met. As he left he asked that I contact him immediately if I found any issues with the work that he had completed.

It went beautifully. Greg came to my home to quote some estimates for other projects and was nice enough to to fix my window trim on the spur of the moment. He could not have been more accommodating. It turned out perfectly.

.Greg, the owner and Dan came every day just exactly on time. They were both friendly and professional. This is the first time I have contracted any work out. Usually do it all myself. I have painted before but their work is far superior to mine. They did the living room in a darker beige, the dining room in a lighter beige and a very Light beige on crown molding, stair rail and baseboards. They did not slop the paint around and i have not found any places that they messed up on. I love my new beautiful rooms. Just like a facelift for the house. They moved the furniture, drapes and pictures and put it all back. They were extremely neat and cleaned up each day before leaving. I will ask them to return the next time I need painting done. I hired Greg & Jerry to paint the kitchen walls and a fireplace wall in a new combination kitchen/family room. They do excellent work. They are very detail oriented and respectful of your property. I have hired Smiley's in the past for handyman services and have been totally satisfied with their work.

They were very nice, they spent a lot of time. The problem was the paint that they used. I a, not familiar with paint so the paint I choose ran and it does not look very good. But like I said it was the paint. I had to get an estimate to have some areas painted again. I can understand why they could not come back, it took them nearly a week to complete the project. His partner also done a great job! They are very nice people.

The owner of this business, Greg Jungkuntz, repaired and painted the exterior of my house, which is mostly brick but also has wood siding and lots of windows. I had waited a few years too long to get this done, so there was a lot of repair work on window sills, siding, and trim. It was a big job and required a lot of ladder work. He gives meticulous attention to detail, and is incredibly neat. I am thrilled with the result--as a neighbor observed, the new, brighter color makes the house "pop" from the curb, and stands up to close scrutiny as well. He gave me a very reasonable price for such a big job. In addition to the exterior painting, he also helped me clean up and re-paint a room in the basement after a leak from a downspout went undetected for too long. I was happy with this work as well. Painting is his specialty, but he is a reliable, all-around handyman. i call him for all kinds of jobs around the house. He is usually able to take care of things himself, but he will also tell me if something is beyond his expertise. I am happy to highly recommend him.

Greg and Jerry were very professional. They had all the necessary tools, assessed the problems and repaired the doors My wife and I are very satisfied.

I was happy with their work and our deck looks fabulous. I have recommend them to others. They also found the an issue with a window and we had the builder come repair as well. I was very happy to find a good company like Smileys.

One day not long ago, my wife noticed that there was a wet spot on the ceiling. One particular, isolated spot, but the water stain spread out from that spot. The ceiling drywall had been soaked to the point that just touching it resulted in poking my finger through. And sure enough, a drip came down from that exact spot. Just that spot. We couldn't see what exactly was dripping the water, but knew it had to be a pipe of some sort. The next day, I called Greg. We have hired Greg two other times during the past few months, and his work has been great. So, his was the first name that came to mind for this. I left a message, and Greg called me back right away (he always does ---- communication is never an issue with Greg). We arranged a time in the late afternoon for Greg to come by to take a look. Greg arrived as scheduled. He cut away a small section of ceiling --- just enough to identify that, yes, there was indeed a pipe that leaking at the elbow bend. The drip was regular, but not steady or a strong flow. So we arranged for Greg to return the next evening to start the actual work. Greg arrived on time with the tools/supplies he needed and set to work. He cut away a bit more drywall, but did not over cut. He cut away the leaking section of pipe, fabricated a new section, and then soldered in the replacement section. Greg then sized a piece of replacement ceiling drywall and patched it into the ceiling. Over the next couple of days, Greg returned to "mud" the patch, or sand down what he had mudded the day before. After several applications and sanding, the spot hardly looks as if there had ever been a hole at all. Just needs a coat of paint to be completely "gone." Greg is first rate. Reliable. Accessible. Good communication. Friendly. Knows what he is doing. And reasonable rates. When something "needs fixing" on our home, our first call will be to Smiley Painting / Greg.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. It's a small business that the owner works himself and he tries to do a good job and tries to make his customers happy.

The tiles in our master bath shower were original to house and so with 20 plus years of "use" they were just getting old. The water sealant had failed. The tiles were falling off and the board underneath were in danger of water damage. Plus the shower door itself had accumulated hard water buildup. Greg had patched a large hole in our drywall, so I contracted with him for the shower repairs. He and Jerry again were terrific. Arrived on time both days. They removed the shower door and support structure. While Greg cleaned it (took awhile --- that hard water build up was tough), Jerry removed the lower third or so of the shower tiles, replaced them with new tiles, and recaulked the entire set of seams. Then they reinstalled the shower door. The shower is just great. Clean. Bright. Looks as if the house itself were brand new. Both times now, I have been very happy with the work Greg and Jerry have done. They have become my "go to" guys for any future home repairs we may need.

Last year I picked Smiley for extensive outside repairs and painting of all trim and our very large deck after reviewing all availabe through Angieslist and receiving 3 bids. The repair work was performed by his assistant, Jerry, and it made everything look like new. The painting also was excellent and was done by both Greg and his assistant. Now, a year later, we still get special complements on the beautiful job they did, especially on the deck. After completing the outside work, we hired them to paint our rear entrance hall and kitchen and again, the work was done to perfection and at a very reasonable cost. As a result of our prior experiece, we hired them again this spring to paint an upstairs bedroom, dining room and living room. Again, job don on time and at a reasonable cost. We recommend them to everyone, a great business and really nice people.
