Call Tim Ryan Inc

I bought one of Angie's deal for 2 hours of Tim's time. I appreciated the advice he gave me over the phone and feel I was able to get the right sink with the first visit. After I purchased the sink and faucet, I contacted Tim and we quickly scheduled a time for him to come out and do the job. He did have to reschedule one time, but that was only due to an emergency situation with another client. I would hope that if I had an emergency, he would prioritize my job over a simple sink remodel. Not that anyone will see under my sink, but the new pipes look much nicer and I believe because he choose chrome that they will last longer. Tim worked very hard to get the sink to fit without messing up the counter or the integrity of the new sink. Once the sink and also the faucet were installed, it worked better than it has in a couple of years and looks amazing. He did a very good job of getting it to sit nearly as the old one had, so that you would never know it had not been there the whole time. Tim was very friendly and professional as he worked and explained everything that he needed to do. He also brought a mat so that he wouldn't mess up our floors as he worked around under the counter.

Initially it was a great experience, his work was great. However, we are now experiencing "water hammer" which we were told it would go away within two week, and if not to call Tim and he would return to fix it. However after numerous calls, he has yet to return, sometimes he doesn't even return our call. We were unaware about the leaking, and now we have floor damage on top of the leak.

I noticed late on a Tuesday evening that we had no hot water. After resetting the thermostat a few times, I found a manual online and attempted to troubleshoot. I also tried some suggestions from online discussion boards to no avail. First thing Wednesday morning, I called Tim, he answered right away. He asked me a series of questions and talked me through a potential solution to try in lieu of coming out for a service call (said he would do the same thing if I paid him to come out, so why not give it a try!) While I had already familiarized myself with the thermostat, igniter and flame sensor via the manual, I wasn't too sure I was identifying all the parts correctly. Tim was able to describe everything in helpful detail, tell me what supplies to use, and talk me through the process of cleaning the sensor. He said that while he'd love to have my business, this was a common problem and I should try the fix myself and call him back if it didn't work. IT WORKED. So he saved me time AND money! My kids will be so happy they don't have to take another cold shower (as am I!), and I'm thrilled I didn't have to spend money or miss work waiting at home for a service call. Clearly Tim is knowledgeable, honest, and trustworthy ... You can bet that when I need plumbing work, I'll be giving him a call!

On a Thursday night, I noticed a wet spot in the carpet leading to a puddle under my 19 year-old water heater in the basement. On Friday, I contacted 3 plumbers via Angie's list to provide a replacement water heater. All gave very similar price quotes over the phone. Two of the plumbers would be able to replace my water heater in about a week. Tim said he could come the next day (Saturday). He did indeed arrive Saturday afternoon (with a telephone update telling me of his arrival time) and installed the new heater (with a big drip pan this time). He also removed the old one. He discovered the floor drain in the basement partially clogged and cleared that for me at no extra charge. His work was clean and professional and I would definitely use him again.

We had two toilets that were not flushing well since we bought our home. He augered them both and when that did not help he said it was either the toilets themselves or the vent to the pipe may be clogged causing them to not flush well. The toilets were very old and we wanted to replace them anyways so we decided to try replacing one first. We ordered a new toilet and when it arrived he came out and replaced the toilet on a Sunday which I thought was great service. He also replaced the pipe going into the wall and put in a new shut off valve and supply line. He upgraded the bolt cap covers to ones that look nicer and he said would stay on better. He also removed some old wallpaper that was behind the old toilet and provided us with a nice looking seat as the toilet we had ordered did not come with one. He cleaned up well after his work too and took our old toilet away. Our new toilet looks great and is flushing great so we plan on having him come back out to install the other one when we get it in. Since this was an Angie's List coupon I got all this work for $99 and only $22 more for parts which I felt was an excellent value. He was very accessible, pleasant and did a great job.

Bought two hours of time from Mr. Ryan he put us off for over one month. Then did not show for two scheduled appointments.

This provider was a no-show for 2 appointments. He also reneged on his offer to come do the work later for free. I had to get a refund of my Big Deal. I've since had the work done by someone else.

Overall work was fine but with being busy with the special and vacation it took longer than we hoped

We were using a Groupon Deal, two hours for $99. He only took a little over an hour, so he didn't charge us the $99. He asked us if we appreciated his services to tell Angie's List. He did a great job, and we couldn't believe how fast he worked! We would use Tim Ryan again, and would recommended him. He was professional, and we appreciate that he is local.

Bought a "Big Deal" (* which is why the $175 looks low) and, after both of us were finally able to coordinate our individual schedules, Mr. Ryan did the first job with efficiency,. He showed me what were the problems, how he was remedying them and how the new parts would perform. A day or so later , unrelated to the first job, the toilet began to "grind" after every flush and the taps would "whistle" when running. More schedule coordinating and out came the friendly and knowledgeable Mr. Ryan again. He completed the job in short order, again showing me what was what and giving me some good advice about more efficient water usage and handling emergencies. . The bathroom was left as clean as it was prior to his arrival. Everything is working perfectly and we are happy. I do indeed recommend Tim Ryan's plumbing service.

He said the work would take more than 2 hours and asked if I would be prepared to pay extra and I had said that’s fine, can we first see how long it will take. I called and scheduled an appointment that day for the following Monday. He didn't show up and called me and said he was sorry and would come Thursday. He didn’t show up then and called me and said he was going on vacation and that he would call when he got back. I never heard from him so I called and he said he would come to do the plumbing and he didn’t and called and said he got busy and asked to reschedule again for today (Thursday) at 8 am. He didn’t show up, again and called and asked to reschedule for 1 pm that day instead because he was up late the night before. He didn’t show up on the final day and still have not heard from him and now asking for a refund.

Tim was very professional, listened to mt needs and limitations, and did an excellent job !!I highly recommend him.

I purchased a Big Deal from Angie's List's Big Deal offers. Tim was very busy due to the Big Deal offer, but he managed to schedule us in a reasonable amount of time. From scheduling to the finished product Tim was professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend Tim Ryan Inc. to anyone who needed a plumber.

Tim communicated very well throughout the job and worked with our schedule. They laid down pads to protect our carpeting. Very polite.

My experience with Tim Ryan was awesome. I have never met such a genuinely nice man. He went out of his way to come over to review the problems and give me an estimate. He provided extra service at no charge. This man is on the top of my list and should be yours if you are looking for plumbing repairs.

I smelled sewer gas in my kids' bathroom, I called my home warranty and they sent another company out who told me I was crazy. Tim was then assigned the task. He came in, listened attentively to what I had to say and started working. He took the toilet up, noticed that the flange wasn't't big enough, so he rebuilt it. Then he noticed that the toilet could use bigger bolts to hold it down and relaxed them. In addition, he noticed and fixed my water shut off valve. He was so awesome, personable, and genenuely wanted his customer happy. The next day he called for a follow up. I'm a tough customer and I was 100% and then some please with him.

Tim is without question the most personable contractor we've ever worked with. Despite facing several roadblocks along the way, and having to track down a hard-to-find part, he wasn't satisifed until we were satified. He worked around our schedules and even came out on a Sunday to finish the job. The sink looks and works great!

We noticed our hot water heater leaking on a Sunday and Tim responded on Monday morning to schedule a visit that afternoon. He showed up when he said he would and inspected the leaking hot water heater and determined it could not be fixed. He also looked at the expansion tank and determined it needed to be replaced. He provided a quote for a State hot water heater with a 6-year warranty and said he could do the install the following afternoon. Later that evening, I realized I could not keep my 3:00 appointment time and Tim offered to push back the install until 4:45. On the day of the install, he was running late and called to let me know he'd be delayed. When he showed up, he took good care of the house by laying mats on the hardwood floor, stairs and carpet. He drained the old water heater and took it away along with the expansion tank. He installed the new hot water tank and expansion tank. He also got most of the water dried up during his time at the house. The whole process took about 2.75 hours. Call Tim Ryan was one of three contractors I contacted as a result of Angies List feedback from other customers and he was the first to be available to inspect the broken water heater. He explained what he was doing along the way and was professional throughout the whole experience. After the install, he walked me through the operating procedures to include preventive maintenance for the new hot water heater and left the warranty information. I can't comment on the quality of the hot water heater itself other than to say it worked right away after an hour. Based on high praise from other customers, I trust the quality of the hot water heater but was unfamiliar with comparisons to other hot water heaters. Other than a professional install of a high-quality heater, my biggest criteria was taking care of my property, especially a newly finished basement. Other than a little paint off the wall likely from brushing the wall going up/down stairs and some debris from the mats which I told him I would take care of, he did an excellent job. He cleaned all other messes in the hot water heater area and the garage. I appreciated his flexibility with doing the install in the late afternoon/early evening hours. Based on the entire experience, I would recommend Call Tim Ryan Inc to others and would certainly use him again.

I purchased the water heater "Big Deal" from Call Tim Ryan on Jan 26th, and the heater was installed by Feb 1st! Tim was professional, timely and answered all my questions. I was impressed that he didn't "nickel and dime" me with add-ons after the job was started and he made sure I was totally satisfied. Great experience.

Overflow of water heater was continually weeping. Measured water pressure and determined that it was 2.5 times greater than the max. After attempting to equalize pressure with existing valve, replaced reducing valve. Also installed expansion tank to water heater. Problem resolved.

Don't look any further. This is your man. Professional, knowledgeable and very nice to work with. Tim completed all work as promised and within the estimate he gave us. He takes pride in his work and it shows. We even received a hand written thank you note just a few days after he completed the job. I will use Tim again and again.

I was referred to Tim by a friend who has been involved in the plumbing industry/sales for over 30 years. Within one hour of my telephone call and plea for assistance (on a holiday weekend!) Tim had arrived at our home and accomplished the repair. He did try to walk us through the repair over the phone however we did not have a steel wool pad to clean the sensor contacts. He was prompt, very pleasant and knowledgeable. Great service!!!!!!

Approximate time here 1.5 hours, Charge was for labor only $150 total charge. Workmanship was good.
