Since the drought of 2012 followed by the winter of 2014, I've had increasing problems with my roof. It was supposed to be a 25-30 year roof, but it was loosing granules like crazy and the fiberglass was beginning to fray. The ends of the ridge caps were a mess, and I had a leak between the rake-side attic wall and siding likely from movement of the drip edge or chimney flashing. There was also a loose flange on the soil stack boot/flashing. Victor came out and first took a tour of my roof deck which he said was in good shape minus a few spots. He had a lot of trouble getting the tight fitting attic door closed which was no surprise because there is a trick to it that took me a while to figure out. He kept apologizing like it was some horrible thing. To me that was the first sign of high quality customer care. Victor wanted to ensure even the smallest detials were done well. Next Victor went to the roof. I could hear him walking around. It sounded as if he was covering every square of the roof which signifies quality work. Then he came to give me the news I suspected. He took pics with his IPad and showed me the damage and wear in detail. He explained the people who put on the roof in 1999 for the previous owners used cheap materials and did a poor instulation job which caused excessive premature wear. I should have had more than 5 years left, but my shingles were rapidly balding. Understanding now especially is not a good time for me to pay for a new roof, Victor made some patches and corrections which he said could hold the roof for a year or so. He made no guarantees nor should he have. Experienced roofers know you can only guarantee a brand new roof. He went above and beyond with the patches. Victor then gave me some rough estimates for a new roof which was at least $4k less than expected. He also gave me a rough estimate for insulation. Home Depot had quoted me $3000+ for a single story home with less than 1000 sqft. Victor's rough estimate was less than half that. As he was leaving, Victor again apologized for the dumb attic door and I assured him there was nothing to apologize for. I noted the pics on his website of some of the massive houses he roofed and thanked him for taking the time to come out to my little house. Victor explained that his company works on everything from little homes to large buildings and churches and no job is too small. This is a very long review for such a simple job, but I feel Angies List subscribers need the best possible detail when making a repair decision. I will certianly use Victor's roofing when I'm in a better position to pay for it. I also highly recommend Victor's roofing to others.

The repairs went smoothly. They made us feel like we were their priority and they were very helpful in explaining how everything was going to go. They worked fast and effiencently. The owner, Victor, personally came to ensure that the job was done correctly. We really appreciated the amount of professionalism and kindness we received from them. We would definitely recommend Victor's Roofing to anyone in need of a fast, reliable company. We are very happy with our results and cannot thank them enough.

The roofing repair work was done efficiently, with all the necessary safety precautions. The crew arrived on time, communicated clearly and promptly. I found this company's staff polite, friendly and respectful and kept the work areas clean. Willingness also to discuss at the time of doing this repair future options for roof replacement - technical details and materials choices was a real bonus. Now I am much clearer about what's needed for the replacement of the entire roof of my house in a couple of years or so time, and I have a front running supplier who I am very likely to give the business to.

After receiving several quotes, we chose Victor's Roofing. Victor's brief, but informative, presentation regarding the roof ridge venting system was very educational and helpful in making our decision. He was very patient and answered all questions. The work crew was lead by Victor's father, who was equally impressive. The job was completed in one day, the workers were very professional and respectful of our property. Clean up was excellent as was the follow up from Victor. Highly recommend this company!!

I was overall very satisfied with the work that Victors did for me. Victor, the owner, was very friendly and communicative. He was very patient and low pressure, both during the sales process and while awaiting payment. The price was very competitive and I feel like I got excellent quality for my money. The service was done quickly and with minimal disturbance to the rest of the house. There was some trash on my lawn that came down through the downspouts, some broken and disturbed path lights, and there was some awkwardness when I arrived home as the crew was finishing and no one would speak to me. But these are minor complaints about a generally very satisfactory service.

They showed up on time and worked very fast for an extremely hot and humid day. Professional from start to finish; they even noticed we were missing insulation in the attic that you couldn't see until the decking was off and they allowed us to get insulation and they installed it before closing the roof back up. They were very neat and made sure to clean everything up before they left, not to mention they tarped off or moved everything to protect it before starting the job.

Victor and his team replaced our roof in July 2014. I can't say enough about Victor's outstanding service. Victor is very professional, knowledgable and polite. My husband I were very impressed with the quality of their work and how efficient his crew worked from start to finish. Everything was done on time and no damage to my plants. The cleanup with outstanding! We would defiantly hire victor's roofing again and we highly recommend him. A job well done.

At the initial meeting with Victor we were anticipating a high pressure sales job. It did not happen. Victor was very professional and friendly. He examined the roof from the outside and inside taking copius pictures. He carefully explained the situation of the roof using the pictures he had taken and discussed the options. He did not push for any one solution but carefully explained each one and the cost involved with each leaving the decision up to us. After we had decided which solution suited our needs and expenses he stated that he would call us with the scheduled date for the work to begin and that it would be completed in one day. The crew arrived on the scheduled day at 7:30am and went right to work. Victors father Vladimir supervised the crew and the work was completed by 4:30pm. The work site and yard were completely cleaned and the only way you knew the job had been done was because the new roof looked fantastic. We are very pleased with our experience with Victor's Roofing and would gladly recommend them

What can I say? but wow!......Victor Roofing is a 5 star operation. My wife and I just purchased our new home in Van Buren Township. Going into it; we knew the roof was 14 years old and would need to be replaced. We set up 5 separate contractors to give an estimate for a roof and gutters. From the moment Victor arrived, it was apparent that the level of professionalism was head and shoulders over the rest. Victor explained in great detail exactly what the job would entail, and why "CertainTeed Landmark" shingles were better that "GAF" shingles, the shingles I was considering. What closed the deal, was Victor's presentation and his passion he showed while explaining every single piece of roofing material that would be used for the roofing job, plus he was the only contractor who provided copies of his contractor license, insurance, and current (18 months) references of past roofing jobs. "SOLD" The day of the project, Victors father and his crew was at our home exactly at 7:30 AM, after taking extra care to protect our windows, flowers and deck furniture i.e. (plywood and blue tarps). They worked efficiently, by 10 AM the old roof was gone. The workmanship was great, once the job was completely, they cleaned up the entire area, and you couldn't even tell t hey was there. If you're getting ready to do a roof, I strongly suggested this company. 5 star price, workmanship and professionalism.

I really appreciated working with Victor. He explained everything thoroughly and answered all our questions very professionally. One of the things we really appreciated was his low key approach. No high pressure sales tactics as some of the companies we contacted liked to do. His company provided excellent service at a competitive price. If you read nothing else, know that these guys were professional, courteous, and did absolutely excellent work! Victor and his crew are great guys. From the estimate to the end of the project, these guys were outstanding! Victor is a very nice and personable man; he took time to discuss various options with our roof, answered all questions we had, and even asked us questions about our roof and attic that only one or two other estimators from other companies asked. The price that he quoted us was right in line with other companies, but he was willing to take on work that others wouldn?t consider. Victor was very attentive and professional ? he followed up by mail, phone, and e-mail. He kept in contact and made himself available to answer any of our questions. I was very struck by how professional he was ? no other company sent us a card in the mail to say thank you for requesting an estimate! That, and his follow-up call, was major points in his favor. The Victors? crew arrived right at the time scheduled (scheduled to start between 7-8am, and they were putting up tarps around the house just a few minutes after 7). They covered our windows and plants around the house, and immediately started scraping off the old shingles. (Boy, was that a shock to our 2-year-old! Baby slept through, though?) One group of guys worked on replacing boards and re-shingling the main house, while the other group (Vladimir and Vladi, I believe) went to work on the roof over the three-season room. These roofers were obviously competent and experienced. The main roof was finished by 3:30 pm., and the raised roof over the three-season room was finished by 6:30pm. After the crew was finished, they cleaned up around the house and yard, picking up as many nails and bits of roofing that they could find. They even swept out our garage ? it was cleaner after they finished than before they got there! We couldn?t believe that they got all that work done in one day, and cleaned everything up so well! The following day the gutters were installed. That morning, Victor came out and put post-it notes on each spot where the new downspouts were supposed to be placed. The gutter guys actually took a moment to thank me for that, but while I would have liked to take credit, I let them know that was all Victor. They said that was really helpful and made their job quite a bit easier. We had a question regarding a very small piece of trim on the front of our house after everything was finished (this was over the weekend), and the first part of the week Vladimir and Vladi were out there putting in a whole new piece of trim, which blended in perfectly with what was already there. What an incredible difference the new roof makes! I never used to pay attention to roofs much, but I have to say, our roof looks marvelous! And the new gutters and downspouts are great, too ? our old ones used to leak and we would get water in the basement after every rain. There has been rain several times since this work was done, and we haven?t had a drop of water in the basement!

I met with Victor, the owner of the company, who came out to my home, assessed the job, and provided me several options. Victor was timely with his appointment, and took the time with me to discuss all the details. After getting several other estimates, I contacted Victor and we discussed pricing, and he adjusted his original estimate, and again gave me several options to choose from. The day before the job, the shingles were delivered. That company was prompt, organized, and left the materials in a location that would not interfere with entering my garage. The roofing crew arrived promptly, and covered and protected landscaping, and windows where necessary. A crew of seven men, worked fast and efficiently. The crew?s supervisor introduced himself, and was always available to answer questions. The crew cleaned up as they went along, never leaving a huge mess. The entire crew was friendly and courteous. Additional work was required to correct the pitch on the flat roof area, and I was only charged for the additional materials. The team also provided some good design suggestions on areas that required trim. The job was completed in one day, and a thorough job was done of cleaning up. A subcontractor installed the gutters the following day. They were fast, efficient, and did a professional job, but they were not quite as professional as Victor's team, who provided that extra service, and were better at communicating what steps they were taking. Victor, came out a couple days after the job was completed to explain some things, and correct a couple minor oversights made by the gutter company. Victor made sure that I was completely satisfied with the job. About a week later received a thank you letter along with the warrantee that was provided with the job. Victor?s company is very professional, and thorough, and I love my new roof.

.Very professional from the beginning to the end. We are very happy with the quality of the job. They also gave us 12 years warranty on the job in addition to manufacturing warranty on the shingles. The longest warranty on the job I found in my research was 10 years. I recommend this company to anybody who needs a roof job done.

Victor came out to look at the existing roof - was not pushy about getting a new one. He made repairs as needed and promised to follow up in a couple of years to make sure the roof was still in good shape. He was patient, HONEST and worked efficiently.

My experience with Victors Roofing was excellent! From the owner, Victor; to the team who put on the roof to those who installed the gutters: everyone was highly professional and courteous. From the beginning, Victor (the owner) demonstrated his customer service ethic by being quick to return my call for an appointment for an estimate -- and any other calls I made in regard to the service schedule! What impressed me most about Victor is he was the only person I worked with who took pictures of the roof -- so I could see for myself what he was seeing. In addition, he inspected my roof from the attic AND offered Consumer Report information on the shingles his company uses on each job. No matter who you opt to choose to replace your roof and/or shingles, it's an expensive process. Victor's transparency -- and willingness to be truly helpful in my decision-making -- sold me. The entire process went smoothly and easily and I just couldn't be more pleased!!!

Victor was very helpful and thorough. He has a relaxed personality, and he didn't hit me with a hard-sell or any pressure. He inspected our roof, re-attached or added some vent covers, caulked, and painted a few vents. He inspected the gutters and flashing throughout and then did a thorough inspection of the interior of two separate attics. The attics are tight and not easily entered or exited, but he went in an spent some quality time looking for leaks and some design issues. He was honest in letting me know that there are some years left on our current roof, which I really appreciate. Victor seems to be very knowledgeable, skilled, and honest.

Victor responded immediately and came out and gave us a thorough nspection. He took pictures of our roof and identified all the issues we had. He left us a package of roofing options including samples of the materials he would use. His workers were very professional and spent an entire hour covering up the landscaping before even starting on the roof. The job was complete in one day and looked great. He also followed up with us to make sure we were satisfied. We would highly recommend Victor's roofing to anyone!

A couple late winter storms totally destroyed my existing roof. Our insurance adjuster came out and said we needed a full replacement. Once I knew what I was looking it I contacted the number of highly rated roofers listed with Angie's List. In getting at estimates, not one roofer recommended replacing with three tab shingles, so I chose to upgrade even if I might need to spend some of my own cash. Several roofers, including Victors, we're willing to meet me at my home and discuss products, installation methods, timing and cost. Victor was personable, and completely understood my concerns about surrounding landscape and structure. He was also willing to work within the limitations of how insurance and mortgage companies controlled money disbursement, and went out of his way to help me work through some of those issues. We agreed on a roofing replacement that surpassed my expectations for warranted wind resistance and appearance. And his delivered price came in below my insurance companies allowance, so I only had to worry about my insurance deductible. I pruned some tree branches prior to the installation date, and on the morning of the installation date his crew helped me move a metal frame gazebo so that it would not be in a jeopardized location. The roofing went perfectly over the course of two days, including cleanup and repositioning of the gazebo. My wife loves the color and appearance of the new roof, and a couple of neighbors have complimented the new look as well. I would absolutely recommend Victors, and in fact have asked him to perform a small job at my mother-in-law's.

It went great!! The provider had to remove two layers of old roofing, including cedar shingles. They applied new 7/16 OSB to the entire roof and used materials to protect my house from water damage for many years down the road. They worked until 10 o'clock at night to make sure that the roof was protected at all times. They have a very courteous, knowledgeable and dedicated crew and gave the best quote of the three A rated Angies List roofing companies that bidder for the job. The job was very messy, but when they were done, my property was as clean as it was before they showed up. GREAT JOB!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

During a tornado watch and heavy winds and rain, my family went to our basement to wait out the storm. We heard and saw water dripping in the middle of our basement. But saw no signs of leakage on the first floor ceiling or walls. After reading Angie's list reviews I purchased $199 Victors Roofing roof tuneup and service credit deal on Angies List. Victor contacted me within a day and came to my house very quickly to help me solve the problem. As soon as I showed him the spot that was leaking he thought the water was leaking at a vent pipe that went up through the wall and out the roof. He went up on the roof and found the boot around the pipe was cracked. He replaced the boot and inspected the rest of the roof and found no other issues. Gave me peace of mind that I should get another 8-10 years out of my roof and showed me where the weakest point of my roof design is - where to watch for leaks in the future. Very knowledgable and efficient.

Victor, the owner of the company Victors Roofing-Gutters-Insulation, said they would be here at 7am and we heard the first footfalls at 7am. We were surprised at their punctuality. Since we have windows over the roof from our Loft area, we were able to observe Victors crew working and to introduce ourselves. The two man crew, one named Lopez, were very friendly and worked very hard and consistently. The work was completed in 3-1/2 hours and they left the roof and area perfectly clean and the roof cap shingles look great. Victor, who came to give us the estimate, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly too. After looking at our roof he told us that we had a good roof but the ridge caps were probably originally inferior to the rest of the shingles as they only lasted 14 years and were completely rotted away. The rest of the roof, he said, was in good condition and would last at least another six years (our roof was 14 years old). Over all, we were very impressed by Victors crew and service, price, knowledge and friendliness and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and his company to our friends and neighbors. We would definitely use Victors when we need a complete roof in the future. Victor himself came out to appraise the job. We have had nothing but bad luck with the home since 2006, which was built in 2004. This spring a bad wind storm permanently damaged the roof. I received four other quotes from reputable roofers in S.E. Michigan, however none of them seemed as confident in making it right, as Victor did. He showed me the different brands of materials from Owens Corning and CertainTeed and how they rated on Consumer Reports. He was very knowledgable and eager to earn my business. Two days after I signed the agreement for Victors to do the work, he personally sent my wife and I a gift card to Tim Hortons with a hand written 'Thank You' His crew showed up at 10 minutes to 8:00 AM on the day we scheduled and immediately they started to build huge tents around all my landscaping, even moving flower pots and landscaping lights. My home looked like something out of a movie. I am very picky about my yard and take pride in my home, and so did they. It was nothing short of amazing! His crew consisted of 7 hard working guys, who completed the work (29 square) in approximately 9 hours. They used starter on all edges and ice and water shield one the edges and valleys. At 5:00 my family and I headed out to my sons game and they were finishing up. When we came home at 9:15 it was like we were pulling up to a new house! What an amazing job......not one plant or bush wrecked, not one flower out of place, the roof color and drip edge combination was fantastic. There was no sign of trash or scraps from the work in any of my rock beds or driveway. This crew was amazing. I highly recommend Victors Roofing for any job, big or small. What a great company to do business with!

TL;DR - Victor was there early, a pleasure to work with, and did an exceptional job. I had bought the $199 roof tune up special here on Angie's List, just so I knew what I was getting into when moving into my new home. Victor arrived, we talked about what I was looking for and he got right to work. The big item on the list was an older prime star dish that was attached firmly, and I seriously mean ATTACHED to the roof. Removing it took a few good chunks of shingles with it, and fixing it would require a follow-up visit. Victor was able to schedule his crew to come out within a few hours to get up there and take care of it. I had figured it'd take at LEAST 24 hours before someone could get to the job. Overall - I am very pleased, and would bring them on again in a heartbeat!
