They did a great job. They arrived on time and did a good job at finishing in a timely matter. The price that they gave me was a little high but for the most part it was reasonable.

We always had a gross, musty smell in our panelled basement and when mold appeared at the bottom of wall, we pulled off the paneling and frankly, it was disgusting. I called five different waterproofers, asking them for an estimate; proof of insurance, bonding, licenses and workers comp; and references of people in my zip code. One of their competitors' salesmen even recommended them, saying "if you don't use us, you should hire USA." Most of them came missing one of more elements of my request, but Wayne of USA had everything on hand to show me. He made SO many promises I wasn't sure they could ever fill them. When I itemized the promises, had the salesman sign it and faxed it to the foreman, they were absolutely fine with it. When the crew came to work, they each introduced themselves by name and gave my dog a chance to get used to them. During their four-day work assignment at my house, I never heard cussing, arguing or anything remotely questionable. They handled the permits and inspections, and everything in between (including cleaning up and sweeping the basement before they left!) The best part is that they worked incredibly hard and their work was meticulously done. They welcomed my questions (I couldn't resist) and amazingly, not only fulfilled all the original promises-they exceeded them. They sealed all the tiniest of cracks, trenched and put drainage lines in the basement, brought top soil in to raise the level around the entire house, sealed the patio, porch and driveway, and did a dozen other things to make sure the basement stays dry. The bottom line is this: These guys can work at my house ANY TIME! I was so pleased I brought them all cider and doughnuts, and served them coffee and cookies. I am seldom impressed-but with USA Waterproofing, I was!

Really excellent in all regards. Salesman was very patient and informative. I had 5 different companies that do foundation work & waterproofing come out and talk to me, and this guy was definitely the best in terms of teaching me about foundation mechanics, what was causing our issues, and being creative about different solutions that were really tailored to my needs instead of just telling me I had to dig out the whole foundation. 2) office staff - responsive, friendly, very service-oriented. They double-checked on everything as well. 3) work crew - professional, courteous, informative, efficient. Told me everything they were doing along the way, kept everything clean (hard to do when you're jackhammering cement!). Also very nice in talking to my mother who is elderly (it's her home) and very understanding about her situation. And a good example of their overall customer service orientation - there was a small misunderstanding about whether installing a new electrical outlet for the sump pump was included. I had been told it was included but it hadn't been noted on the contract. The workman said he'd check with his supervisor. I got a call 1/2 hour later asking if the electrician could come by & do the work that same afternoon - which he did. I can understand how the misunderstanding could arise there are a lot of elements to this contract but, what I think really speaks to this company's approach is how they solved it didn't quibble, and resolved it very fast & got the work done. I had a really excellent experience with this company, on all fronts.

When they were finished they did not do a great job of cleaning up. I had to call to have someone come back and put back my appliances. I thought that it was part of the contract.

Came out one time and quoted very high. After telling them they were much higher they wanted to come back out and "re-evaluate" the quote. After coming down in price they were still much higher. In the end the 2nd visit was a big waste of time.

Part of their presentation was also giving price comparisons for other companies. However, the price they gave for one company varied greatly from what the actually quote that company gave me was. They had one basic type of installation where they would put drain tile down and install another sump pump. This approximate cost included a discount. They have since called several times to send other people out to give other options since I haven't decided to get this work done yet.

The job went well. The workers were on time each day and stayed late to answer any of my questions. The workers did a great job cleaning the basement each day. I made one call to the company about cracks that were left in the basement shower. The workers promptly called and returned to correct the problem. The workers told me to feel free to call if I have any other concerns about the waterproofing job.

They were very good and they were polite.

It went very smooth. I didn't expect the job to be done so fast. I signed the contract on Wednesday and was scheduled for the next Tuesday. The workers were there as scheduled. Explained what they were going to do and how long it would take. When they ran into a problem with the possibility of the wall falling when they drilled into the floor, the process was stopped until the GM came out, accessed the problem, came up with the work around (rebuilding the wall), he explained everything to me. We agreed on the work around, they continued the job and completed the job in a timely basis. They kept everything as clean and neat as they could and cleaned up totally after the job was completed.

I think that they were experienced in what they were doing. They accidently hit my gas meter which cause it to leak and the gas company had to replace the meter. They replaced a drain hole, they replaced it with one that is used for a toilet and when the inspector came out they had to change it. They came out and did the repair with no problems.

Salesman showed up to the house, bad-mouthed other companies, insisted excavation around the house would cost $20,000. Tried to sell me on internal waterproofing methods. Salesman dropped price $1,000 when I told him I was shopping around, got upset when I wouldn't commit to signing a contract on the spot.

The company arrived at the time they said they would. The workers were courteous and neat. The work was performed in the time frame promised. All repairs done as requested and we have had no water leaking in the basement since the work was done 9 months ago. There was minimal clean-up required by the homeowner.

WATERPROOFING WORK IS SATISFACTORY BUT I WAS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN MY DEALINGS WITH THE COMPANY, PARTICULARLY AFTER READING GOOD COMMENTS FROM OTHER MEMBERS. THE SALES REP RANTED ABOUT HOW CLEAN THEY WERE, THAT THEY COVERED EVERYTHING, & THAT ALL I HAD TO WORRY ABOUT WAS MAKING SURE EVERYTHING WAS 3-4 FEET AWAY FROM THE OUTSIDE WALLS. AFTER THE FIRST DAY OF DIGGING, DUST COVERED EVERYTHING UPSTAIRS. AFTER THE JOB WAS COMPLETED, I FOUND THAT THEY HAD NOT DONE A VERY GOOD JOB COVERING THINGS IN THE BASEMENT & THAT ALL MY BELONGINGS HAD A THICK COATING OF CEMENT DUST ON IT. WHEN I EXPRESSED MY DISSATISFACTION WITH STEVE & MELANIE IN THE OFFICE, I WAS BASICALLY TOLD "WHAT DO YOU EXPECT, IT'S MAJOR CONSTRUCTION". IF I HAD KNOWN WHAT A MESS IT WOULD HAVE MADE, I WOULD HAVE MADE ARRANGEMENTS TO MOVE EVERYTHING INTO THE GARAGE. EVEN AFTER CALLING THE SALES REP, HE NEVER CALLED ME BACK. THEY WERE ONLY INTERESTED IN MAKING THE SALE. OTHER ISSUES, NOT ENOUGH ROOM HERE.

POSITIVE EXPERIENCE ALTHOUGH DID NOT DO EVERYTHING AS LISTED ON ESTIMATE- DEEMED NOT NECESSARY- NO ADJUSTMENT ON BILL.

IT SEEMS AS THOUGH MANY COMPANIES WOULD RATHER USE INTERNAL RATHER THAN EXTERIOR WATERPROOFING WHERE THEY ADD A SUMP PUMP. THEY WERE REALLY LEANING FOR THE INTERNAL WATERPROOFING AND THAT WAS NOT THE WAY I WANTED TO GO. I DID NOT WANT ANYTHING ELECTRICAL THEY ALSO SEEMED TO BE INTERESTED IN NEWER HOMES WHERE THEY CREATE THE BASEMENT. THE PRICING SEEMS TO COINCIDE WITH THIS INTEREST.

OK. ATTENTIVE. IN THE END THE JOB WAS TOO SMALL FOR THEM.

WE ARE REALLY IMPRESSED WITH WHAT THEY HAVE DONE AND THE PROCESS THAT THEY USED TO DO IT. THEY WERE PROMPT, HARDWORKING, AND ONLY TAKE THEIR LUNCH FOR A "BREAK". THEY FINISHED EARLY TOO.

THEY SENT SOMEONE OUT TO GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE. HE SAID HE WOULD HAVE TO SEND SOMEONE ELSE. THAT PERSON NEVER SHOWED UP OR CALLED. I GAVE THE JOB TO ANOTHER COMPANY.

THEY WERE VERY CLEAN AND NON-INVASIVE. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK. THEY WERE VERY PROMPT AND WORKED UNTIL THEY GOT THE JOB DONE. IT WAS A GOOD EXPERIENCE AND I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.

THEY DUG UP OLD CONCRETE, PUT REBARS IN, AND THEN TOOK THE NEW CONCRETE UP AROUND THE PERIMETER AND INSTALLED A DRAINAGE SYSTEM. THEY ALSO PUT IN A SUMP PUMP. THEY HAD EXCELLENT CLEANUP AND WORKED VERY QUICKLY AND EFFICIENTLY. ONLY TOOK TWO AND A HALF DAYS AND THEY KEPT IT VERY CLEAN THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE PROCESS.

THE SECOND APPOINTMENT WAS DEFERRED BY JEENIE, THE OFFICE PERSON, BECAUSE SHE DIDNT WANT DOUBLE DUTY APPOINTMENT, BUT IT TURNED OUT THAT NO ONE SHOWED. THEY CALLED ME SELLING BASEMENT WATERPROOFING. I WOULD GIVE THE SECOND OFFICE PERSON - JEENIE - THE HIGHEST MARKS, SHE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL.

THEY SENT A SALES REP. AND WHEN HE GOT HERE HE INFORMED ME THAT THEY DO MAINLY INSIDE SYSTEMS. HE QUOTED AN INSIDE SYSTEM PRICE AND GAVE ME AN OUTRAGEOUS BALLPARK FIGURE FOR AN OUTSIDE SYSTEM. I FEEL THEY TOTALLY WASTED MY TIME.
