Steve Rusk was very responsive to the water intrusion situation in our basement. The source/cause of the water intrusion was not obvious and Steve went above and beyond to diagnose the problem. He designed a comprehensive plan to remedy the problem and was able to have the work completed quickly. Not only was the quality of the work fantastic, but all of the workers he brought into our home were great. Our basement is dry and we have every confidence it will stay that way! His attention to our needs was exceptional - he is an expert in his field. We would highly recommend Steve and USA Waterproofing!!!!

I have waited for a good soaking, flooding rain to occur before leaving a review, but there have been no such rains or thaws since USA did the work in August, 2018 and it is now middle of October. They did all they promised to do very quickly and professionally, and the work was done with no problems whatsoever with this company.

I put my info into Angie’s list, and USA waterproofing called me 3 times. I scheduled an appointment for an estimate. They called again to confirm the appointment. On the day of the appointment, they never showed up and never called. I called them and they told me they weren’t sure why nobody showed up and that someone would call me to reschedule. Seriously?

It's been the rainy season so the job had to be rescheduled. They came on the rescheduled date. The job went very smoothly. The gentlemen working the job were very willing to discuss their progress and made sure we had a chance to ask questions as the job progressed. Our home was built in 1926 and is the house of thousand projects. This is one project we can happily say is one problem that has been solved.

Total professionalism, gave me the estimate, they weren’t the cheapest or the most expensive but he explained the work, and the time it would take to complete. I felt comfortable with his job knowledge and hired them. The job turned out to be a little more involved than previously thought but they worked through it with no extra charge to me. As of now I haven’t seen any water in my crawl space.

Steve Rusk the manager from cleveland was highly responsive. Their team did an amazing job of fixing the leakage. Whenever we called he would respond immediately. The team very professional and we very happy with their work. We will definitely use their services again. We recommend them for others too. 👍👍👍👍👍

I usually don’t like to waste my time writing reviews, but I’m compelled to write one because my experience with this contractor was an absolute nightmare. The problem is, they make their prospective clients sign a contract that allows the contractor to breach it with no liability if they determine that they “accidentally” misquoted the job to be performed. This is troubling given that their standard practice essentially allows them to sign as many contracts as they can and selectively choose which contracts to perform and breach the remaining contracts they can’t perform or don’t want to perform without incurring any liability. Please read their contract carefully. So here’s my story: I signed a contract with their salesman in November to work on my basement finishing. The salesman ambitiously promised that it would be finished before Christmas. However, I had to call them and send several messages in the middle of December because no one was coming by my house to start the job. After several weeks of no response, I finally got a hold of the vice president, Steve, who visited us to take a look at our basement. His initial excuse was that it was too cold to start work and proposed to start work in February. Nevertheless, I remained patient until early February, but again, no one came by my house to perform the job. I had to contact the contractor several times again until someone I finally got someone to visit us. This time, the contractor demanded an additional $1,530 for their allegedly misquoted estimate which I reluctantly accepted and also asked for another $6,000 for flooring which I declined. I told them, I would do flooring on my own. Despite, paying the contractor for the allegedly misquoted estimate, no one came by my house to perform the job. I contacted them several times again, and in early March, they finally informed me that there are still several discrepancies, so they recommended me to find another contractor. I wasted more than three months with this contractor. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Find someone else.

no work was hired but the consultation was direct & the price was fair but we needed to go with another company for a dual project. if i were to just go with waterproofing alone i am sure i would consider.

They were prompt, ran into an unforeseen problem and they had to spend extra time and labor to correct it with no additional charge to me. They cleaned up everyday and when the job was done my yard looked as nice as the day they started. I don’t foresee anymore water issues.

Everything was done in two days, as promised. They left everything cleaned up, even mopped the floor. They finished the job just as a 36-hour rain was starting, so their work was tested almost immediately, and it passed with flying colors.

I can't even express how fantastic of a job USA Waterproofing did !!! From the beginning till the end they went above and beyond all they way from the Project Manager to the General Manager and the staff!! I can't thank you enough for an awesome job done !!!!

The project manager came to look at the work required. He was very pleasant and professional and there were no high pressure sales tactics involved. In order to fix the front of the house, a porch needs to be removed. He said he was not sure if they could handle that part of the job and would contact the engineering department. After not hearing back for several days I sent a follow up email. Several days after the email I have still heard nothing from them. I would have appreciated some response, even if it was that they did not want to pursue the job. I have not called them. An estimate from a second vendor was much more informative offering a very different analysis and some very inexpensive alternatives to try first before investing in the expense of a waterproofing job.

The service was performed two months later than initially promised. I understood and patiently waited. Everything seemed fine until Spring 2016 when the same problem reoccurred. I called the company and was told that the service department would need to be involved and would return my call. After one week with no call back, I called again. A record of my previous call was on file but it was unknown why my call was not returned. It has been two weeks since my last call and still no response. Unresponsive deserves an F.

They were AWESOME! Covered all of the things in my crawl space that I couldn't take out so they would not get dirty. Also curtained and taped off crawl space so dust and dirt would not get into the rest of the house! They were so professional, so polite and did a WONDERFUL JOB! Looks great! I would definitely use them again or recommend!

After getting 4 estimates, USA was moderate and did the best job explaining how they would fix our leaky basement problem. The work was done quickly and done by hand so as to minimize damage to the lawn and plantings. The manager came out and checked the job when it was finished. Cleanup was pretty good, but we will still need to do some work on the spring, as would be expected. My only complaint (relatively minor) was that some of workers played REALLY loud hard rock music right under our window....my husband was recovering form surgery and couldn't go upstairs. We should have said something. The basement has stayed dry so far. We will have them out next year to do more work.

We would never consider using this company for any work. All they did was try to push their "system". We needed a single basement wall crack fixed and after the high pressure sales tactic you would think our 6 year old basement was crumbling down around us according to their salesman. They only sell their "system" and do nothing else even though you need much less they push their product, not solve the homeowner's problem.

They came down and they gave me an estimate to do what I wanted done for $1170.00. I told them, as I always do, that I get 3-4 estimates. Their estimate came out to be the best. The man who came down never mentioned anything about a 10% senior citizen discount. When I looked them up on Angie’s List I saw that they had a discount. I called them and asked if I could get the discount. That would have brought it down to $1153.00. They transferred me to the guy who gave me the original estimate. I told him if they could do it for $1000.00 they had the job. He said that they wouldn’t be about do to if for the original $1170.00 estimate and they wouldn’t be able to do it for anything under $1500.00. They bumped it up over $300.00 the original written quote. This estimate included the pump.

It went quite well. The guys worked very hard. Their boss came and followed up with us. They were very prompt. They cleaned up pretty good but there was some mud left over.

The technician was great!Very prompt and courteous, I showed him the problem and he looked at it.. I explained all that I have done and and didn't know where to go from there! He was very up front and said it is not the foundation or the waterproofing but thought it was the chimney.. There was no selling involved no hard pressure, which is very nice compared to what I have had in the past! I even got a phone call from USA's office to check on the technicians job/ no job, and everything to see if I was satisfied! So..if you want truthful info..give them a call! They did great by me!

Everything went very well. 3 days and done! Owner Steve Rusk answered all questions beforehand and during the work. The workers were very professional. Everything that I did not move out of the basement was covered with plastic to keep as clean as possible. Explained and showed me daily what they were doing and why. Even wiped up the basement floor when done!! All phone calls were either answered immediately or returned in a timely fashion. I never felt "talked down to because I was a woman"!

Had an appointment for Thursday. Never called to reschedule and never showed up. Oh well I'll find someone else.

We interviewed three contractors and went with Steve's team at USA because they had a very competitive cost. Our basement had been flooded years previously and was in a state of disrepair for quite some time. The USA Basement team came in and took care of everything quickly and professionally. They installed allure trafficmaster flooring at our request and removed the horrible old (fluorescent shop-light) fixtures and installed recessed can lights. The new drywall was hung very professionally and painted with colors we chose (one wall was an accent color). I waited a while before writing this review to see how everything would hold up and we did start having problems with our basement stairs. The guys came back and took care of the problem lickety split. The problem was with two layers of very old linoleum. They removed the linoleum, reinstalled the vinyl tiles that match our basement flooring, and now the basement stairs are perfect. Everything is tiptop and the basement is now our go-to entertainment room. I only wish we could hire these guys for the rest of the house!

Highly knowledgeable crew, efficient. Very professional for the most part. These guys don't stand around leaning on shovels. They get right to it. Explained the system as they were going and answered questions we had. Install went easily and on time. When they left the interior of the house was cleaned up nicely for the amount of dust and debris being handled, The only delay we had was a weather delay because the crew did not attempt to come because of the snow. A phone call stating this was received which was appreciated. Overall very happy with the qualitu of the waterproofing. Negatives would be the exterior grading seemed to be haphazard. Fill dirt from exterior excavation appeared to be thrown against the base of the house without much thought to appearance or actual grade. A yard sculpture was broken (probably due to the frozen ground) when they attempted to move it and no mention was made until we questioned it. Apologized, said he forgot to mention it. Also, we have never recieved a call from the contractor as a follow up to see if we were satisfied, had any issues, etc. A little disappointed in that. Never recieved information on sump pump warranty or future warranty payment information.

Salesman was kind of pushy and really complained when my wife and I wanted time alone to review the contract without him in the house and then drop off a signed contract to their facility the next day. He really did not like that idea. However, once we decided to have them do the job, the workers showed up prompt based on our first scheduling. They worked very hard for 1 week and completed 3/4 of the job. They planned on finishing in one week but couldn't, so had to come back. They apparently had another job they had to do the following week and so came back 5 days later, without really let us know the plan. They did come back and finish the job, however, the main job foreman was not able to be there on the last day. They finished on a friday in a hurry with a little less focus on quality than the previous 7 or 8 days. They also requested payment without providing and paperwork whatsoever: No receipt, no job description no warranty or guarantee papers. There was a place on the basement floor where they filled concrete that was not smooth and level. When some pipes nearby sweat the water dripped and flowed into this spot and created a puddle. There were also three places that needed to be filled with some sort of filler as per our original salesman. They did not do these things. We called them to have them come fix this and it took a couple weeks to get a response and then a few more phone calls a a few more weeks and the threat of getting a lawyer involved and finally after a big rain and 3 wet walls we called and were very loud about getting someone out to fix our issues. They came out a few times each time unprepared to fix all problems. They tried to convince my wife to cover the issues and not really fix the issue. However, in the end in November (4 months after the initial job) they did get all the issues fixed and we do have a dry basement. It did take another phone call to get some paperwork regarding a guarantee and receipt of full payment. In the end they did know what they were doing and did get the walls fixed. However, the professionalism of the salesman, inside staff, and owner to make the customer happy was very poor. There was plenty of time for multiple people to call us before they got the job, but it seemed as if everyone was too busy to help once the main part of the job was done. I did withhold full payment, but guess I should have withheld more until all the job was done.
