Pepera Plumbing

We woke to a flooded basement from the sewer. Called Shaker Heights and they said someone would be there within 24 hours. Well we needed immediate service! This was raw sewage coming from the street backing up into our house. The smell was just awful. I used the plumber Mr. Pepera from: PEPERA PLUMBING to install my hot water heater and he did a super job, you should read my review of this job he completed with his assistant on 4/12/2014. I found him to be a trustworthy,diligent and neat working business man so I called him while also waiting to see if the city showed up. He was on a job and said he would call as soon as he finished to see if the city sent a team to open their sewer drain. Within the hour he called back and of course the city had not shown up. He immediately set out for our house. When he arrived the Shaker Heights team still did not arrive.To be fair it had been raining for so man days in a row. The sewer has to move all this water quickly with who knows what is in there and it sometimes gets backed up because it becomes too much. Hence it has to go somewhere, people's drains that go into their basements! By this time the whole basement was flooded. He immediately set to work with his assistant and opened the city's drain. Needless to say we now had to make a claim on this mess with our insurance company and throw out most of the things in the basement because of fecal contamination. It happened so quickly. Enough of that. I just want to say that Mr. Pepera is such a honest person. I will use him as my go to for all my plumbing problems. He is the man. Whatever problems you have in the plumbing department please call him. He will be honest and tell you what can be done. Come on - You can't get better than that! Like I said he's your man. And one last bit of info: The Shaker Heights team showed up in the early afternoon. The person said that whoever did the job did a great job. The drain was clean as a whistle. So I am not the only one chiming about Mr. Pepera's work. That was coming from another plumber. Good as it gets! I feel I made a good choice.

Amazing service! Woke up one day to find we had no hot water. This wasn't fully unexpected as it seemed for some time that the hot water heater was getting towards the end of its life. Called at 9am, he arrived at 11am, job done at 1pm. We couldn't be more satisfied with how quickly we got hot water again. It's been 3 weeks with the new tank and no problems to report.

Mr Pepera called and said he could arrive at least an hour earlier. I was pleased and said come on. He had an assistant with him. They got right to work. When they finished working on the water heater, they removed the old one. Mr. Pepera made sure everything was done very professionally. He cleaned everything afterwards. The job was very neat. Very professionally done. I will definitely use him as my plumber again. He was in touch with me before the work was completed. He stayed true to his word and did everything he said he would without any side stepping. He appears to be a truthful and dependable worker. If you are looking for someone who is truthful and dependable to do plumbing then he appears to be the one you should consider.

Excellent job. Very professional. Jimmy (the owner) called a few minutes before appointment time apologizing for a delay since the job he was presently working on took longer than expected. When he came, the job was done quickly and professionally without any fuss. The quality of materials used is very high.

They were respectful of our property. They guy charged exactly as he quoted. We had a couple of pipe burst in the past and our regular plumber was not able to fix it well. The guy from Pepera Plumbing was able to repair it well so far.

Clogged toilet, replaced defectively clogged toilet. As always Jimmy does a great job but this time the cost was higher than I thought it should be. I will still call Jimmy because everything he's done has been top notch quality work. All other work cost has been fair.

I called provider due to a problem with my reverse osmosis drinking water system. He called back and was courteous and even gave me a helpful suggestion. I told him I'd call back if my problem continued. My problem did persist and I left him a message on his voicemail. He didn't return my call. I gave him the benefit of the doubt because he was helpful when I spoke to him previously and left another voice mail about 5-7 days later. Again, he didn't return my call. Hate to leave him a negative review but I got to tell it like it is.

Called late afternoon, came out first thing the following morning. Great guy!

I called and he was here within an hour. It was the best experience I have ever had with a plumber and I will continue to call them in the future. I would give them an A++ if it was possible.

I was SOOO impressed with them! I called about 5:00 pm and it was installed before 7:00! His price (though more than I wanted to spend considering the price of a water heater at Home Depot) was the lowest of four quotes, he didn't charge emergency fees and he even gave me a discount because I was on Angie's List. Very polite, knowledgeable and FAST! Jim and the other plumber (sorry, I don't remember his name) took the old water heater out (& disposed of it so that was nice to not have to deal with that) and installed the new one (40 gallon, gas) at a quick pace without hardly having to talk to each other (they obviously knew what they were doing!) Though I am certainly not a plumber, I think their work was quality (just very efficient.) We haven't had any problems with it since then (knock on wood!) I highly recommend them!

Mr. Pepera promptly returned my weekend phone call. I explained to him that our very old hot water tank was leaking considerably, though we still had hot water. I gave him the specs on our old tank . His plan was to buy a comparable tank on Monday and install it early that afternoon. He arrived on time, replaced the tank and hauled out the old tank in less than one hour. I then asked him to fix a leaking faucet , which he readily did. Pepera Plumbing has my business ! ( and my RECOMMENDATION).

Excellent job -- had to remove original sillcock and install new one through back of the house brick wall. Looks and works fine. Also helped fix a leak on a sink faucet that had a somewhat unusual part, but figuring out a way to use different internal part.

The part that needed to be repaired was a lead pipe. The original builder never informed us that we had lead piping in the house. The plumber showed me which part needed to be replaced. They ordered it and came back to replace the part. They fixed the leak and replaced it with PVC piping. They had to remove the old toilet upstairs, which was the cause of the leak. When they came back they were able to repair the issues, and install my toilet again. They were very patient in answering all of my questions. They even inspected everything in the bathrooms before they left. They are very courteous and professional. They always kept me informed if they were running late for any reason. I was surprised at how accommodating they were even when their phones were ringing off the hook with other jobs. They are true experts in what they do.

These guys were great. Professional. Friendly. Worked hard and fast. I appreciated the way Pepera extended their long workday to deal with my trouble drain. You will be pleased with these guys.

Jimmy came to house after work so i didn't have to leave work early. He called ahead to let me know how soon he'd be at the house. He was able to release the clog and was also able to fix a clog in the 2nd bathroom sink, since i couldn't figure out how to remove the sink stopper. He was extremely pleasant to work with and will definitely call him again for any plumbing issues and refer him to friends and family. He also gave me a discount for being on Angie's List. Yeah!

It was rocky at the beginning as they did not come the first day we planned. But when they did come, they were professional, punctual and friendly. The problems were dealt with quickly and efficiently and for a reasonable price.

The service went great. Called the provider in the morning, he arrived shortly after noon. The problem was fixed in less than an hour.

I was working on a plumbing project at home on a Sunday afternoon when I ran into trouble. I called Pepera Plumbing to ask some plumbing questions in hopes of getting some answers. Jim was kind, courteous and willing to answer all of my questions. He gave me the information I needed so I could finish the job myself. I would definately use him in the future when I have plumbing issues.

Jimmy called ahead to make sure we were available and came promptly thereafter. They went right to work and made the repair/replacement quickly. Warned us of noise when a bit of sawing was required. Checked to assure themselves there were no other leak sources. Suggested that we give it a thorough work out before repairing damaged ceiling. Left no mess at all. Very pleased with courtesy and professionalism.

First and foremost, Jim was immediately responsive to my request for service. He arrived on time and took time to explain to me the details of what was required for my repairs. He also provided me with several options to choose. He was in constant communication with me regarding the details of my project and completed it on-time and on-budget. I could not have asked for a better experience.

The first thing that impressed me about Pepera Plumbing is that I got a return call the same day. Big plus in my book. Joe was very open and honest in our discussion. I needed him to replace a dishwasher and he gave me what I considered a very fair estimate which was hundreds of dollars less than the person I used to use. Additionally he was very upfront about the pitfalls of installing dishwashers due to a lot of variables and because of that he said he could not honor the full $ value of the discount currently on Angie's list, but he did offer to take it to $25.00 which was half the amount. I told him that we could forget the discount unless he found other work that needed doing and then we would apply the Angie's discount. He and his worker were on time and called to let me know they were on their way. they explained what was going on and what they were doing and were finished in about an hour or so. His original estimate held firm which made me very happy. I will definitely call them again. They seemed knowledgeable, were professional and honest.

Called Jim Pepera about 4:00 in the afternoon about a water tank that was leaking onto the basement floor. He picked up the replacement hot water tank at Home Depot that I arranged for him, removed the old one and installed the new one and was done by around 9:30. I have used Jim in the past too to thaw out a frozen water pipe. Highly recommend.

The owner was highly knowledgeable and we felt immediately at ease with him. It was obvious that he did all of his own work and was able to provide off-the-cuff cost estimates from experience. Between jobs, he was able to swing by for a quick estimate and his word was good (despite not providing a written estimate) on the follow-up repair. The work was beautifully completed and the inspection seamless. We enjoyed working with Mr. Pepera very much. Our only hiccup was a building permit that needed to be arranged at the last minute, but Jimmy took care of it and his strong reputation with the City was made obvious during the inspection. Since the repair, our only regret is not being able to get Jimmy back out to the house for one reason or another for some elective repairs.
