Josh G, and his crew, Josh and Scott were very hardworking and professional. They answered all my questions and finished the project in one day.

Given the value of the property and degree of the problem (it wasn't sufficiently bad) I ultimately decided not to get the service, but if you are in the market for getting your basement waterproofed, I thought that their product was the best I've seen so far by a long shot. Ask for their sales rep Bert, as he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He gave me very good information not only about my basement but other areas of the house as we walked through. One of the best experiences I've had with a sales rep coming into my house for home improvement work.

Josh and his crew were wonderful. They were very polite at all times. The work was completed to our satisfaction in a very timely manner.

We did not use this service. However, Charles (the evaluator) was completely professional and very honest. He detailed a few of the possible underlying causes of the moisture in our basement, and explained what needed to be done as a solution. He recommended looking for cheaper labor, due to the cost and simplicity of the fix. We appreciate the honesty of the company and its employees, and would return for any future work. Thank you!

I met with Bob for my free estimate but before meeting with him he called me the day prior and the day of to let me know he would be there and on time. He actually told me the time arrival on his GPS. He was the nicest person I have every met in my life and I wish I could say I was exaggerating. He asked me what was important to me with a companies service and then made sure to deliver on all of those qualities. He explained the whole process, piece by piece, to ensure I would get everything I specifically wanted. He also provided videos to show me what was currently happening in my crawlspace and how to improve it. I appreciate that he did not try to sell me on services that I did not need due to money constraints. I will add another review with pictures once the job is completed. I am scheduled in October. Request Bob if you meet with this company, A+ rating for his customer service.

Ohio Basement installed a perimeter drainage system & sump pump. Everyone in the company, from the office staff to on-site employees, was professional in every way. They were knowledgeable, polite & friendly. They worked hard to finish the job & make sure we were satisfied & they stand behind their work. They did good a good job & we've had good results.

We are very happy with the outcome of the waterproofing job! Very professional job and workers. (John and Josh). They explained the steps they were taking and answered all our questions. They did a very nice job cleaning up. I'm confident our wet basement problem is over with. Looking forward to having Ohio Basement System put up our new walls and new floor next week. Extremely pleased with the entire process, the crew was on time, kept me informed, kept the mess confined, and cleaned up perfectly. Started and finished exactly when they said. Finished concrete is smooth and the results look great.

The entire process - quoting, scheduling, and the crew who did the actual work were fantastic. The price was less than traditional mud jacking quotes I received and I believe these guys did a superior, longer lasting repair.

It went very well. Joe was the foreman. He was punctual, very polite and he worked very efficiently. His crew consisted of a young man named Christopher.

It went well. However we thought that the cleanup could have been better. We also felt that the price was excessive compared to the work performed.

Went great. Very professional from the first phone call to the end. It was scheduled 2 months in advance, the workers showed up on the day they were scheduled and finished on time. It took 2 1/2 days. The crew cleaned up and aside from some dust in the basement and some new concrete you would have never know they were there.

UPDATE 8/12/17: A few clarifications to make after receiving a response from the company. I wanted to underscore that just because we did not exactly jive with our rep, it was not necessarily anyone's fault. I am happy to see that Ohio Basement Systems addresses training so seriously and was so quick to address our concerns here on Angie's List. I want to make known our rep did stay on message and explained everything in the presentation well. The main issue was that we were expecting to meet with a contractor (or someone who would be performing the work). We would have written an almost identical review had it been anyone else in the same role (which is also why we did not mention his name in our initial post). I have since been back in contact with Ohio Basement Systems and they have been more than happy to accommodate. Customer service is great. They are even sending a more specialized member of their team for a second assessment. We are not discounting them just yet! ====== Be forewarned they will send a sales rep for the assessment. We did not mesh well with our rep, which isn't necessarily the fault of him or his company. Ohio Basement Systems was the first company we called who was available to come give an estimate. Our confirmation email stated the rep would "perform a thorough inspection on both the inside and the outside of the property. He will be able to diagnose the problems you are facing, the reason(s) they are occurring, what options are available, and provide you with a written estimate for any work that may need to be completed." However, we were taken aback, because we were expecting a contractor who would assess the issues and determine possible causes. Instead, the rep took some measurements and basically said, "Yes, there is a water issue" -- we were then subjected to a long digital sales pitch (most of which was already included in the sales packet we received in the mail prior to his visit). We were happy that he was able to point out cracks we didn't see before, and he was very consistent with his messaging. We were just expecting someone to focus more on what our specific issue could be, rather than "this is what happens most of the time." We still don't feel sure about what exactly is causing the hydrostatic pressure, if that is the culprit at all -- tree roots, bad work done by a previous owner, clogged downspouts...I think we would have felt better (or even signed paperwork) if we didn't feel such pressure to buy their product. And honestly, it's very possible we'll decide to go with Ohio Basement Systems, given the good reviews we keep seeing. But we'll definitely be looking at other companies first for an expert assessment before we move forward.

The part of the process between signing the contract and getting scheduled wasn't smooth- the salesperson (Carl) just lacked all manner of initiative. I was disappointed in that because he didn't seem like the type- I basically harangued him for over a week without any forward progress. However, I called the main office myself and worked out a date- highly recommend this approach if you have the same issue. Literally everyone beyond the salesperson was stellar- the reason for the A rating. The main office folks were pleasant, efficient and very helpful. The guys who did the work were fast and did exceptionally good work- felt a bit like the Wizard of Oz scene when they first reached the Emerald City. The lead guy found an issue with our footer drains- outside of the work he was doing- that would have caused the system to fail in a severe rain. I was able to get a plumber to come out and fix it within the next day or two. The Ohio Basement guys gave us a temporary solution that was within code, and came right back out to tie into that footer drain the day after the plumber corrected the issue. A few weeks after the system was installed, we had one of the biggest rainfalls we've ever had and the system worked flawlessly. From a service or quality perspective, I honestly couldn't have asked for more and do highly recommend them.

This is the 2nd time I have used this provider and I have been pleased. They are definitely pricey but they are worth it. The employees were professional and courteous. They are also wiling to go over any questions I have and it was a very positive experience

I liked the salesman, I met him at a home and garden show. He gave me a quote for the work and was very close to that price. I liked their work and my driveway looks better. They raised my driveway about three inches and leveled it. I could also use the driveway right away. They came out on time and were very neat.

We did not use this service, but the sales person was very kind and understanding of our situation. The plan is too expensive for us at this time, but the sales person was supportive and did not try to sell us on something we could not afford. Very professional and informative presentation.

The process went well, Mike was my point of contact. He was knowledgeable of material and installation processes. The work I needed done to my house was realistically simple but, the process through which the work needed done (fha 203k paper work) was not. Thier team worked diligently to fulfill my and my banks requirements.

I believe they have a division that is referred to as concrete leveling. I did not use them. They were very responsive. They were very good in explanation of what they did and how they would do the job. Their quote was very detailed. It was just more than what I wanted to spend to have the sidewalk leveled. It's a little tough to grade. I think their service is valuable it's just from my situation. If someone wanted to make sure they got 10 years of life out of the service, this is a good company to go with. I wasn't worried about it long term.
