This customer wanted to use an Angie's List coupon. We ran the appointment , and when she was quoted on the cost of the repairs and explained how the coupon worked she was not happy. She said it was still too much money. Why this customer felt compelled to post a review like this 9 months later is beyond us!!! We have had many other members get the coupon and were very happy. Quite unfair to say she would not hire our company 9 months later after we were hat her home. I think she is not happy with the reality of the work that needs to be done to her home to repair it correctly and not happy with the coupon perhaps???

Description of Work: The provider took photos of the outside of the house as well as the basement. He then did a thorough visual inspection. Later we went upstairs to discuss his findings. He showed us what we have now,and with the aid of a computer program, explained what we needed done. Our basement is in aweful condition. The estimate to make it livable is high. A friend who is a contractor said that the price was within reason. Allen took lots of time to explain everything in detail. We appreciated his complete and thorough explanations of all that needed to be done.

Description of Work: We purchased the Angie's big deal for a foundation inspection and 10% off the work. For a house with a total value of $89,000, they told us it needed over $40,000 of work,. starting with being "absolutely positive" that the house footers were broken and needed complete replacement. Subsequent estimates we have received have been from $4900-$11,000, and no one including a structural engineer we had come out thought there was anything wrong with the footers, let alone the other problems these guys cited. They are either very poor at what they do, or lacking in integrity and relying on scaring people into doing work that doesn't need done. In addition, no one else has tried even to charge me for an estimate, at least in my area, so this "free estimate" business is a hoax on its own. Clearly based on how far out of line the estimate was, I'm not going to get to collect on the 10% off proposition, so basically I wasted my $49 for an estimate that everyone else was willing to do for free. I'm also none to happy with Angie on this one, either, I emailed them directly about the experience because it was so bad I wanted to be sure they knew about it and they didn't even bother to respond.

As the owner of this company, I am obligated to look into what happened here. The homeowner did not make anyone here aware of his complaint before posting it. I have asked the customer if they would be so kind as to forward copies of the estimates obtained, as well as the engineers report. I am awaiting that information so that I can provide a justified response. As for the coupon, I was told Angie's list refunded the $49??? Personally, I too do not like the coupon offer. All of our estimates are FREE. The idea here, as proposed by our Angie List rep, was that the coupon allowed a 10% discount for $49. If anyone out there paid $49 for a coupon and did not receive 10% off as a result of not moving forward with any work, please contact us and we would be more than happy to refund the $49. What I do not understand however, is why anyone would post a complaint without first bringing their concern to the company so that the company would have a chance to resolve it. We have literally thousands of very happy customers, many consumer satisfaction awards- where are the comments about those?. I had a landscaping company that ran a snow plow right through the middle of my front yard last winter. They tore up the yard, the landscaping, the lighting, and more. I called the owner and he did everything and then some to keep me as a customer. They are a reputable company for over 25 years, whose driver made a big mistake. I am still a customer of theirs because I know how they respond to their customers. I wish I had the same chance here!! More to follow when I receive the information!

Description of Work: Had a very wet, damp, stinky, unpleasant basement in my century home. Could not store much there without getting mold and mildew. Tomorrow's Home put in an interior weeping system in March. In late February, Pete came to my house, examined the problem, and explained in detail the options I had. (He was a little pushy I think but I can overlook that since the job was well done.) He explained that an exterior system would be better, but having recently spent 35k on landscaping, I opted for interior only. Since I don't have a walk-out basement, the guys had to haul everything in (tools, equipment, materials, cement, etc.) and everything out (tools, broken concrete, dirt, etc.) by way of my office and patio door. They protected everything with plastic. Were careful not to undermine the fieldstone foundation as they dug down approx 16-18 inches. Put in Waterguard pipe, Brightwall (just 6 inches at my request because I didn't want to completely cover the stone walls), and a SuperSump in the corner. Work was done in 3 days. The guys were courteous and neat. So far, so good. My basement has remained dry. No stinky dampness. $6,000.00 seemed high but if the basement stays dry, it is worth every cent. A really wet spring will really test it. Overall very satisfied. UPDATE March 6, 2013 It's been almost a year since I had the basement waterproofed by Tomorrow's Home. I still think the job was worth every penny. Basement is as dry as can be, sump pump working like a charm. Very happy.
