We didn't end up using Hartman, because we decided to wait until next year. He showed us his portfolio and was very professional. He knew what he was talking about, and he showed us some new ideas and ways to approach the project. We thought the price was fair for the amount of work involved. He came right out, but he had to reschedule once. We understood because the weather was getting nice, and he was busy. We plan to use Hartman next year.

I would have probably used him, except for the timing. The other company was able to do the work right away. He seemed honest and I liked his attitude. He was very responsive, punctual, and professional. I would use Hartman Brick & Stone in the future.

Called him for some pin tucking work. I had an estimate within 24 hours and we scheduled the work to begin within the week.

Tom is a FANTASTIC individual! He is very professional, friendly, respectful, considerate and VERY good at his trade. He was always on time and left the work site presentable when he finished his work day.

I had talked to another contractor, who came out and gave me a quote. When I called to line him up, I never could get an answer. I was then given a name of another contractor, who I also called several times....NO answer, no return call. So, needless to say, I was very impressed when I called Hartman Brick and Stone, the contractor himself answered the phone! He set up the time to come out and give me an estimate, showed up on time, and gave me the price, and on the spot made the appointment to come out to do the repair. On the day of the repair, he showed up on time! The repair took a couple of return trips, and after each time, he left our place spotless! Hartman Brick and Stone is not only prompt, his work is outstanding , and clean up is impeccable! I HIGHLY recommend Hartman Brick and Stone for any of your masonry needs!!!

I found Mr. Hartman in Angie's list. I called for an estimate. He was prompt to respond. He looked at the entire house and informed us of the areas that needed to be tuckpointed. He gave us the estimate and told us an approximate start date for the work. He started the job when he said he would. He worked professionally (as he had to work around the rain). He did an excellent job. He will definitely receive my business in the future.

It went great. Thom gave us a quote in writing as we asked, and gave us a time frame when he would be available. He called us when he was available to let us know when he would be coming out. At that time my husband walked through what was going to be done with Thom and asked if he would also take a look at our chimneys. Thom also ended up fixing a few problems and waterproofing the chimney for us. Thom completed the work as scheduled and called us at the end to do another walk through with us, showing us where he had done the repairs. Everything went very smoothly and our house looks great!

Tom is knowledgeable and hardworking. He is at this point he is a one person operation. In our case that is what is what we wanted. He was friendly, flexible and concerned with our satisfaction. As the job progressed we decided that some minor changes would help with the reutilization of some of the cracked slabs. Basically, by building two short retaining walls we could get what we needed done without any additional sandstone. I purchased the block and Tom built the walls. When the the job was nearly completed there was a small part that didn't quite look the way we wanted. Tom quickly and cheerfully came up the solution and made the change. All with in the original bid price. We were and are very happy with Tom and the work he did for us.

Scheduling and job completion went smooth. Tom is super flexible and accomodated my family schedule very nicely. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

I did not spend any money for the estimate. He is currently doing the work and he is almost done. Mr. Thom Hartman is very personable. He is very much exact about what he is going to do and how he is going to do it. I have a direct cell phone number for him if I have any questions or concerns. I cannot tell enough positive things about him. Sometimes, it is very painful to work with the contractors or the subcontractors. However, he has been very easy to work with. He is an outstanding individual and he has done a great job.

Everything went according to plan. Mr. Hartman is very willing to help with the design process, as well as showing you how the materials he uses work together and function. He completed the job, in the time frame, working around the weather. He has a good eye for detail. He knows his craft. He knows the materials. Our job was a small one but I would definitely consider contracting a larger project with him in the future, such as a long stone path, planters, gate posts, and pillars for lighting. He was respectful of our property and our time, cleaned up completely, and he was conscious of safety in his suggestions. He has a really unique professional specialty in that he designs with you and then custom builds the kinds of items that can give your home a more finished look and enable you to use the outside more fully. If you are unfamiliar with different aspects of masonry and materials used, you can discuss the options with him in the planning stages.

After doing a walkthrough, Tom and I discussed how to best restore the masonry around the windows to suit the home and improve the efficiency. Tom provided an estimate range per window. He started the work a few days later and worked steadily till completion. Tom shows real interest in his work. The end result is clean and achieves exactly what we set out to do.

The price was great which proves the adage you get what you pay for. I thought he was going to di the sandstone out and reposition the stone and then remotar. Instead he basicaly filled large and small gappes alike with mortar. He completed the job after work and in his spare time. I was not in a rush so everything worked out. It looks better than it did before. I would not use Tom for a big job that required equipment and additional man power.

My experience with him was excellent. He is probably the hardest working guy I HAVE EVER MET. He DOESN;T WASTE ANY TIME. He does really good work with huge pieces of stone.
