Action Heating & Air Conditioning & Electrical

I called to schedule the annual servicing for my furnace (which, by the way, I bought from them). Appointment set and Terry was here on time. Actually, he was early, but that's okay. Serviced the furnace and offered a suggestion on how I can control the dust in my house by installing an air filtration system. Since the situation is not critical, I have time, if I so choose, to put aside money to have that done. I like getting information that allows me to plan ahead versus feeling forced to do something now.

We live in CA and own and maintain the home in Toledo,OH where my frail 89 yr old mother lives The AC went out in July during record heat wave, a dangerous situation with her health and age. We called Action to get it up and running and as busy as they were at that time, they MADE time to go over and get the AC working. They ended up having to go a couple of times to keep it running. They informed us that the system was shot and needed replacing (which we suspected), Terry advised us on the best course of action and equipment. Then they made it a priority to get it installed right away. Their communication with us has been exceptional - keeping us apprised of the work being done and conditions. My mother was minimally inconvenienced or uncomfortable. They were friendly and kind with her. Now that the weather has cooled down, she needed to turn the furnace on, it wouldn't come on. Again, Terry got right over there, found a wire that wasn't making contact and she had heat right away. I cannot fully express how happy we are with Terry and Action, and the value of having a company that you can trust, gives good dependable service, is reliable and is good at communicating, especially when you are 2,000 miles away! I very highly recommend Action Heating and AC. Our experience with them has been extraordinary.

My husband and I woke this morning to a hot house, although the air was on and the fan seemed to be blowing. We decided to call Action after reading the reviews on Angie's List. They called within 2 hours of the call, and were at my house 30 minutes later. It took about 15 minutes to replace the part. The gentleman was very professional and nice. There is a heat advisory for our area today, and I was sure we wouldn't get our A/C fixed today and that I would have a hot and miserable day. I am very impressed with the timely way Action gave us service!

Great response time. Excellant customer service. Knowledgeable technician. I was actually im[pressed at the small amount of time it took to fix the problem and check the system. The technician took the time to explain to me what the problem was and how the system works. He did this in a very efficient manner and was extremely courteous during the entire service call. I would highly recommend this company.

This company is very professional, polite and did what they say they would do for the price they gave me. In this day and age, too many companies say one thing and bill you for another! Their representitive was on time, clean-cut, put plastic booties on his feet so they didn't get my new carpet dirty ( this alone told me a lot about Action Heating & Airconditioning), and took the time to explain to me exactly what they were doing and what the work was going to cost me. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a top-of-the-line heating and airconditioning company. Thank you, Action!!!

Having just recently moved I requested that the A/C unit be cleaned and checked before I turned it on. Terry not only cleaned and ran the A/C, he educated me about how to keep it clean for maximum efficiency. He also inspected the furnace, which is equally as old, and explained how the furnace worked and noted a minor problem. He was professional, knowledgeable, and I got more for the money than I expected. I would definitely call Action again for future service.

Had to have my furnace serviced and instead of just fixing as I asked the tech kept on trying to have me buy a new furnace when I already told him I didn't have that kind of money. During my time with the tech he talked down to me and was very unprofessional. He certainly did not treat me like I would treat a customer. In talking to another heating and cooling company they said that I was charged quite a lot more than I should have been. Also, he left parts from the old part just laying in the furnace making me think that something major had broken. If this is how they treat their customers I have no idea how they stay in business. I will make sure to advise all my friends not to go to Action for any heating and cooling service.

My experience with action was super. They promptly came at the time scheduled. They were clean and professional while inside my home. The gentleman serviced my system and provided me with information about the importance of maintaining my system. I would refer ACTION to anyone!

I have called Action Heating and Cooling on two occasions. The first time was in the dead of winter, and my furnace would not start, it would light for a minute, and go out. I called Terry Williams at 11pm, he asked me a couple of questions about my furnace, and then proceeded to walk me through fixing the really minor problem myself. It took me about 1 minute total to fix some grime that had built up on the censor. He walked me through everything on the phone, and didn't charge me a dime. The next time I called Action was in the 90 degree summer. The air conditioner had stopped working completely. I called Action and Terry Williams came right out, replaced a small part that was shorting the system out. He charged me for a little labor and the part. It took him about an hour start to finish. I've never had a problem since! I would recommend Action Heating and Cooling to anyone in this world. They are very professional, and will do whatever they need to do to get the job done in a timely manner, and at a minimal expense. Andrew Kistner

Hello all, Terry from action heating and cooling came to my home to provide a estimate for a new furnace. Upon his inspection he notified my family and I that our water heater was expelling large amounts of CO2. Thank god for Terry and his vigilance. Terry, and his crew came to my home immediately to preform all of my repairs they came early and got the job done. I highly recommend ACTION HEATING AND COOLING their prices are right their punctual, and exceeded all my expectations. I will only use ACTION HEATING AND COOLING for my heating and cooling needs. Great. Arrived when they said they would - clean and professional. Identified issues and had what they needed on the truck to make repairs/adjustments. Everything was back up and running and I was waving good bye.

When our furnace went out, Action responded amazingly fast. From the time of the initial call to the time they were on our door step it was less than an hour. They were able to diagnosis the problem (including an issue with the gas meter) and get a new system up and running in no time. The price was more than fair and they discussed the tax credit with us so we could get the best bang for our buck! I was able to get myself back to work knowing that they were handling the situation and that my family at home would be taken care of. Their staff are the best. I will definitely refer them to all my friends and family. THANKS ACTION!

I have been pleased with their service and have had no problems with the installation or follow up.

I called on a weekend and was surprised to find someone answered the phone! I chatted with Terry about my problem, which was my water heater pilot light was out and I could not figure out how to relight it. He helped me on the phone for a while but it was just not relighting easily. So a service call was required. It turns out that I have a water heater that is very tricky to relight. Terry not only relit the pilot, but showed me how to do it. He was on time. The service call cost exactly what he told me it would, and he actually made the experience kind of fun.

Terry from action heating and cooling installed a furnice for me. He showed up on time and I was very impressed with his professionalism and knowledge as he explainded how to fix the problem. The furnice was installed very quickly and there has been no problems since it has been installed. I would recommend him very highly to anyone who is thinking about having work done to there furnice or air conditioning unit. You will not be dissapointed!

Action has serviced our furnace and air conditioner ever since we have lived in our current home -- over 5 years. They installed a new furnace for us in 2009 and it was so easy. They explained the size of furnace we needed, the choice of manufacturers and the options available. They scheduled the date and time for the installation and they arrived on time and had the furnace installed in no time (I have to admit, I figured it would take all day, but they were done before lunch!) The crew was very polite and respectful. We have scheduled them to return in a couple of weeks for our annual furnace & air conditioning service. We live in Columbus, and own a small, old house in Toledo where our daughter has been living. She was being married in a few days and soon will move out. Then we will sell the house. The pilot light on old furnace was going out repeatedly. Checked Angies List and BBB for heating firm in Toledo. Action had good ratings on both, so we called. A representative responded promptly. Said he noticed combustion fumes when he entered the house. Found large crack in heat exchanger. Given that we do not live in the house and intend to sell it soon, he recommended a basic 80 percent efficiency furnace and said he could have one in operation that day but would need to return a few days later to complete the installation. We agreed and Action performed as he said. We were very pleased with everyone who came to the house. By the end of that second day, the new furnace was completely installed, and the old furnace was gone. The work area in the basement was clean. I examined the installation, and in my opinion, the workmanship was excellent.

I called Action Heating, Air Conditioning, & Electrical To find out about a new furnace. I was so impressed with their knowledge that I scheduled an appointment immediately. They took care of all my needs and even gave me some money saving tips for winter. I've found the best HVAC contractor in Toledo and I wouldn't use anybody else.

Work was done promptly and efficiently. They have been servicing my air conditioner and furnace for years. They have never let me down when I needed them. One time, when Terry forgot to call me back to set up an appointment, he did not charge me for the call when we did get it scheduled because he said his customers should not be treated that way. Action will continue to be my "go to" company for heating and a/c work.

They came on a Saturday. I liked that he explained everything to me. He explained about my furnace in terms that I could understand. He was very clear about what they were doing and what I could expect. He didn?t talk to me like I was sub-human because I didn?t understand furnaces. He made everything clear and nice. I knew what he was doing and what was going on. I appreciated that. The original thermostat was one of the first generation digital thermostats, and they replaced it with something more modern than that. Everything was clean when they left. The price of $200 was not just the service but it included the cost of the thermostat. This was my first experience with them. I actually found them on Angie?s List and read the reviews. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future; in fact, they are coming to put in a new humidifier on Monday.

Awesome. Action Heating and Cooling were very professional and provided excellent service. They subcontract the air duct cleaning to another company and they were awesome also. No complaints. I wrote one check to action and they paid the subcontracting air duct cleaning company. I would use them again and recommend them highly. The house we aquired was filthy. Tons and tons of cat and dog hair in the ducts. They came and did a great job. They explained everything they were doing along the way. The A/c Service was great. We needed a recharge and the service person explained everything. The funance is very old but the serviceman explained it was in great shape. He check it completely and gave it a clean bill of health. He verbally gave us an estimate of what a new furnace would cost, but only after we asked. He never attempted to sell us a new furnace.
