Description of Work: Bill did a good, thorough job and was not shy in sharing his technical knowledge and recommendations in ways to save both money and energy costs, and not just upsell. He was efficient with time and performed services as requested. Only one minor complaint is he had me call him back several times because he was on the road and couldn't write down details. To be total professional, the courteous thing would be to offer to call the customer back. Just a suggestion. Other than that, he was very affordable and efficient.

Description of Work: Air conditioner was hit by lighting.D&L came out right away and gave me an estimate. Called me back within 30 minutes t tell me then actual price would be $400 LOWER. Came back the next day and installed the new unit. Works great. They were very professional and great t work with. Will definitely use them again if needed.

Description of Work: Totally a robber. He didn't bother to take a look the coupon I purchased. He had just one goal, to add some freon and charged additional $60. All the list items on the deal are b*******. The service was just 15 minutes of adding freon. Didn't perform other listed tune-up items. I asked "Are you realized that I have paid $59 already?". Of course he responsed that the freon is not included. I asked "are you sure you don't want to take the coupon, otherwise how do you know who you have served." He said everything is in computer. Actually when I called him, I told him that " my hot water is not hot enough" is a reason I call. After he done adding freon, he is ready to leave becuase this is easy money and he has list customers on hand to preform this $59 deal. And then of course, I never receive his call back about the price of a new hot water tank which he said he will check and call me with quote. Now I am not trust Angie's list either. The "Big-Deal" comes with trick or tricks together. For example, exterior painting, the big-deal price is only for one color, no shutters, probably not include garage door, front and back door, they alwasys can find something to add additional cost. I had enough experience included garage door tune-up.

Description of Work: A/C stopped cooling on the Forth of July! Called and spoke with owner Bill late in the day and he said he would call me by 8:30 the next day. He called at 8:00 AM, came right over, charged the A/C. Cool air immediately. Summary: quick response on a holiday with equally quick fix. This is the third time I have used D&L, Always completely satisfied.

Description of Work: I was less than pleased with the furnace work done with that coupon deal from last week. The owner of the company came out to do the work and he was a real nice man, however I have some things I am not pleased with. One: I hated when he asked to use my bathroom. I refused his request and offered he could pee in my yard. I refused him for two reasons; my bathroom was pretty dirty and I have had other workers steal my medications. He should have peed at a fast food place or something, first, before coming to my house. Two: He didn't clean anything, all he came into my house with was a flashlight. So he was there for 15 minutes. What was he supposed to clean, anyway ? He did examine my furnace and told me some new information about it, which was good. (I learned my furnace is too big and there fore wastes fuel) He also pointed out that it has a failing heat exchanger, also good to know. And he advised me to get a CO2 safety sensor, also very good to know. Upon my requests he examined my chimney at the basement level and made some suggestions which were sound. He also quoted me for a new furnace, however i had a feeling the price was rather high. ( I'm not sure without comparison shopping). He almost left before replacing the furnace access panel and i wondered if his need to 'pee' was too much on his mind. His advice was good, but not worth the money I paid him. Maybe it was worth $25.00. I've had furnace inspections before. Usually they have heat out-put meters, and a mini vacuum. They look at some other details, I am certain. They open all the furnace access panels and at least look it over. I paid a lot for just his advice, in my opinion.

Description of Work: THEY GAVE US A WINTER TUNE UP AND WE HAD A PIPE DRAINING IN THE BASEMENT, THEY TOOK IT OUT, AND WE STILL HAD THE LEAK, THEY CAME BACK AND FIXED IT AT NO CHARGE.
