Description of Work: This was a Big Deal for an A/C tune up. He checked out my a/c unit and informed me it was to small for our home.

Description of Work: The man was very nice, polite, and was very personable. Bill was his name and did give me some helpful tips with addition filters to go get. I have kept my furnace unit very up to date and well kept. I was confused why he even drove to my home. When I talked to him on the phone, he didn’t even ask me what type of air conditioner unit that I had, so that he could get the correct filter. He said that he didn’t carry that brand that I needed; and I then thought what am I paying him for. He then went downstairs for about 10 minutes, and I didn’t feel like he was down there long enough to get anything accomplished. Then I asked him if he could get a filter from a place down the street in town. Then he made the comment that it was too cold downstairs, since my unit was in the basement and he wants me to call him in the spring to fix furnace. I feel like I was scammed and I have been sitting here all this time because he didn’t do what I expected him to do. I kept seeing D & L Heating & Cooling in all the publications and offering this Big Deals, so I purchased a Big Deal from him, and now I am quite disappointed.

Description of Work: Thorough check of the A/C condenser. Checked the temp of the cold air in the ducts and they were fine. Answered my question about whether or not to cover the condenser in the winter and maintenance by hosing off the outer part of the condenser, as well as cover the top to keep out leaves. Very cordial and prompt.

Description of Work: We called because our AC unit abruptly quit ( in 84 degree weather!). Bill was out to our house within an hour or two and had the unit fixed within 10 minutes! He was very friendly and very reasonably priced. We will definitely use him in the future!

Description of Work: The worker had either not noted down or had lost my address, so called to get it. We had agreed that he would come at 9 AM (the company's choice; I had agreed, for I work at OSU and had appointments later that day, so the early time was fine for me). He was approx. 20 mins. late, though when he'd called me at around 8:40 AM to get my address, I'd said, "See you at 9, then," and he didn't let me know that he expected to be late. When he came, I noted that he had let me understand that he'd come at 9. He stood outside and refused to come in. The temperature was in the high 20s, and I kept asking him to come in, while he kept refusing, stating, "We have to settle this!"--though why not settle it indoors, and what was there to settle? Finally, still outside, he said, "Get someone else!" and stalked off. And this if professionalism?

Description of Work: They offered a special Angie's List price for a furnace tune-up and inspection. Scheduling an appointment was easy, he arrived on time and worked on the furnace. He showed me where the 12-year-old furnace would need additional maintenance in the future, and what we could (and should) do in the future to extend its working life.
