I called and left a message about wanting my furnace checked and a price on A/C. The owner called back and came out to my home early the next day because of a meeting I had, stating it was a free estimate. After looking at my furnace, he took the time to explain to me what was going on and what was needed to save me money. His son and son-in-law came out, and even called ahead to keep me posted on what was going on because of the rainy weather. They were so nice and polite, covering my carpet so it wouldn't get messed up. My furnace is in!! As far as the A/C, I'm going to wait until the weather breaks, but the owner made sure everything is set up for it when I'm ready. Thanks D & L Heating & Cooling.

Left a message on their voice mail, telling them Angie's List recommends them. They called that same day and Josh came out that AM to fix it. He was very prompt and I was surprised at how fast he came out to fix it. He was very polite and HONEST. He just earned himself a lot more customers. I think word of mouth is the best way to find someone, as well as Angie's List.

All the work was done well and carefully and Josh was very courteous. He also made sure that the filters were accessible to me, which was a big help.

I appreciated the quick service. I was pleased that I only had to pay $150 when I figured they were going to say it was beyond fixing, because of the age of the unit.

Bill was very prompt, responsive and helpful. He went out of his way to accommodate us and made some very good suggestions to correct our issues. Can't say enough good things about him.

I called during a horrible heatwave. I had initially called another service, but it would take them over a week to get out to do the work. D & L came out that same day and did the work for less than the quote from the original company. I was very happy with the work and I will call them for any heating/cooling work that I need done.

I called on a Monday morning and they were out to my house by the afternoon. I told him the problem over the phone and he seemed to know the issue before he even arrived. I was expecting to hear that we needed a new system so it was excellent to hear it was only the freon. He was very patient in all my questions about what we should do when we decided to get a new system. He was very informative and helpful. We would definitely use them again.

At 1 am on 7/17, I called and left a message on their machine, reporting that my air conditioner was broken. This was particularly disturbing because, as is usually the case when a/c's break, Columbus was in the middle of a heat wave. I was hoping that maybe they'd be able to fix it within a few days. D & L HAD MY A/C FIXED WITHIN 12 HOURS OF THAT CALL. I cannot even begin to express my gratitude at their speed, professionalism, and quality. This is the second time I have used their services (first was to install a humidifier on my furnace) and I am extremely happy with them. I wouldn't think of calling anyone else.

Bill Dohn responded quickly to my call and came to my home to give me a free estimate for the repair work, but he tried to con me into buying expensive equipment I didn't need. After a cursory inspection, he said the problem was not my A/C but the furnace unit and tried to convince me that the unit is at least 20-25 years old and needs to be replaced (it is 12 yrs old). He could offer me a deal for only $1400, but I declined. I called another company the next day, and the technician discovered some plaster dust inside the thermostat from some recent remodeling. They brushed off the dust, and now the A/C works fine. I only paid a small fee for the service call. I will never call D&L again. This dishonest company is a rip-off con artist.

Did not have much time the day he came in because his son had gotten in a car accident. When he came out to check my furnace he told me that I was all set for the winter. When I had problems in January I called them. Ad says 24 hour service but he could not come until Thursday (two days later). I ended up having to get a new furnace through him.

Excellent work. I called the day after the holiday, the owner arrived 2 days later. Originally thought it would be just more freon. After the checkup, realized unit was totally broken. Josh & Nathan replaced it with the new unit 2 days later. Called arrival time & were here on time. Changed unit & rechecked it with in 1-1/2 hours. We found the entire service & the gentlemen an excellent experience. Will definitely use them in the future for heating & cooling.

We woke up on 12-13-2005 without heat, and checked Angie's List for references. We called a few of the featured companies and of those that were willing to come that same day, none of them would give a free estimate. We looked further in Angie's list, and found D & L Heating and Cooling. The owner was very knowledgeable and friendly and asked all of the right questions so that he could give us some idea of what may be the problem. He also offered to give us a complete estimate of charges before beginning the work. His representatives arrived 2 hours later and were professional and polite. They gave me an estimate and left to get the proper equipment. 30 minutes later they were back to finish the job. They even brought us a box of air filters and changed the filter. Before leaving the representative showed us how to install a digital thermostat at no charge. The price for the service and 12 filters was $215. I would certainly recommend this company to everyone.

Bill Doan arrived for our Friday morning appointment to give me an estimate. He immediately concluded that we were preparing our 1720 S.F. Home for sale in the spring. I told him the square footage and the fact that the house has blown in insulation in the side walls and attic and that we have Thermogard replacement windows. He looked at the existing set up and suggested a contractor grade furnace and A/C unit that many new home builders install. It is made by American Standard. I was required to give him $2,500.00 down. The crew arrived on Tuesday morning as promised and had all of the work completed by 2:00 P.M. That day. There was only one small hitch. The installers had run a plastic pipe across the floor to the floor drain in the basement. There apparently was a miscommunication between Bill and the installers. They cheerfully removed the pipe and installed a pump and tube to carry out the condensation to the outside. I paid the balance due. Warranty: 5yr parts 2yr labor

We were VERY pleased with the quality, responsiveness, and professionalism of D & L Heating & Cooling. As a side note, we're planning to finish our basement, and he took the time to answer some questions we had on how to heat/cool our basement. He offered us a couple of suggestions along with the positives and negatives of each option. We will definitely call them back to help us with our heating/cooling needs in the basement.

ON THE DAY OF THE INSTALL, THE WORKERS WERE RUNNING A BIT BEHIND SCHEDULE. ONCE THEY ARRIVED, HOWEVER, THEY IMMEDIATELY BEGAN WORKING. THEY WORKED VERY QUICKLY AND DID A GREAT JOB OF EXPLAINING HOW TO OPERATE OUR NEW THERMOSTAT.

MR. DOHN AND HIS WORKERS WAS CONSIDERATE, CONSISTENT, KIND AND PUNCTUAL. HIS SON JOSHUA WAS PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE PRODUCTS. WE ARE EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE WORKMANSHIP AS WELL AS SATISFIED WITH THE CLEAN-UP. WE WILL NOT HESITATE TO GIVE THEM A STRONG RECOMMENDATION.

I CALLED TO HAVE SOMEONE COME OUT FOR A REPAIR TO OUR FURNACE. LEFT TWO MESSAGE, AND HAVE YET TO RECEIVE A CALL BACK 4 DAYS LATER.

I HAD A REALLY GOOD EXPERIENCE. HE CAME OUT THE SAME DAY I CALLED. HE KEPT IN TOUCH WITH ME BY PHONE TO LET ME KNOW EXACTLY WHAT TIME HE WOULD BE AT MY HOME. HIS CHARGE WAS VERY INEXPENSIVE AND HE DID A THOROUGH JOB OF CHECKING MY AC AND FURNACE. WILL CALL HIM AGAIN IN THE SPRING TO PUT SOME FREON IN MY AC.

CLOSE TO ON TIME, BUT CALLED TO TELL ME REASON FOR A SHORT DELAY. DID A GOOD JOB OF CHECKING. JOSH, IS A FRIENDLY & PLEASANT PERSON. REASONABLY PRICED & ACCEPTED MY ANGIE'S LIST COUPON.

THEY DID A LOT OF WORK AND EVERYTHING CAME OUT FINE! THEY ARE COMING BACK TO INSTALL A NEW VENT AT NO EXTRA COST.

EXCELLENT. OUR HEAT PUMP GAVE OUT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SUMMER WHEN THE TEMPERATURES WERE OVER 90 DEGREES. MOST COMPANIES I CONTACTED COULDN'T EVEN COME OUT FOR A WEEK. BILL DOHN, WAS ABLE TO COME OUT THE NEXT DAY, ASSESS THE SITUATION AND GAVE US AN ESTIMATE. HE CALLED ME AT WORK 30 MINUTES BEFORE HE WOULD BE THERE SO I DIDN'T HAVE TO SIT AROUND WAITING FOR HIM. THEY WERE ABLE TO INSTALL THE NEW AIR CONDITIONER 2 DAYS LATER. HIS SON JOSH, AND THE OTHER PERSON THAT CAME OUT TO DO THE WORK WERE COURTEOUS, AND CLEANED EVERYTHING UP WHEN THEY WERE DONE.

WE HAD A HEAT PUMP/GAS FURNACE COMBINATION THAT HAS BEEN A MAINTENANCE PROBLEM SINCE INSTALLATION. WHEN THE COMPRESSOR FROZE UP, BILL RECOMMENDED REPLACING THE HEAT PUMP WITH A HIGH EFFICIENCY A/C UNIT. THIS WAS A VERY SIMPLE SOLUTION TO A LONGSTANDING PROBLEM. THE WORK WAS PERFORMED QUICKLY AND AT A REASONABLE COST. AS A BONUS, THE COMPANY MOVED THE A/C UNIT TO A LESS CONSPICUOUS LOCATION IN THE YARD. THEY TOLD US TO SKIP THE EXPENSIVE FILTERS A PRIOR CONTRACTOR RECOMMENDED AND SIMPLY CHANGE THE CHEAPER FILTERS MORE OFTEN.

JOSH (OWNER'S SON) AND 2 OTHERS ON SITE TO INSTALL. HERE PROMPTLY IN AM. ALL WORK DONE AND CLEANED UP IN 1 DAY. JOSH IS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS. JOB REQUIRED MOVING HERB GARDEN UNEXPECTEDLY, AND ADAM (?) GOT A SHOVEL AND HELPED GET THIS DONE SO THEY COULD PROCEED. JOSH HAS INSPECTED OUR OLD FURNACE 2 TIMES. I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO CALL HIM AGAIN.

EXPERIENCE WAS VERY GOOD. I RECEIVED A QUICK CALL BACK AND THEY CAME OUT THE NEXT DAY TO GIVE ME MY ESTIMATE. AFTER ACCEPTING THE EXTIMATE THEY WERE OUR THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY TO INSTALL THE UNIT.
