This company responds well, and does a good job. He gave me great feedback and was reasonable in his dealings. I would recommend them for anything to do with heating or cooling service needs.

He took the time to explain some areas we need to watch for safety and also for protecting our existing furnaces. He also found that our water source for the humidifier was turned off, and he turned it back on for us. He was very thorough and good about explaining. I will call his company again.

I BOUGHT THIS FURNACE AND A/C FROM D&L HEATING ONE YEAR AGO, SO NOT MUCH TO DO, JUST CHECK IT ALL OUT.

Bill recharged our a/c unit in the Spring. We talked about replacing both a/c and heat units in the near future being that both units were original to the house (17+ years old). Our heat did not turn on this Fall. I called Bill on a Saturday and told him the issue. The following Monday morning he came out to inspect our problem. After looking at the heating unit we both decided that it was time to replace both units. Bill then ordered the parts that day and the following Wednesday they were installed by his son and Son-in-law. The installation went smoothly and clean. I would recommend D&L Heating & Cooling to anyone.

The service was fine. They were friendly and helpful. They did the job that they were supposed to do. They did their best to make sure we were happy with the job performed.

They were able to come out right away. I was very pleased with the job they did. Their price was reasonable compared to other service providers. After giving me the option to fix the unit he recommended that the best solution was to replace it. I really liked their service and would use them again in the future. They were very responsive. The only problem I had was that they were a little casual with their professionalism. They didn't always knock on the door when they came in and the owner showed up in shorts. But I would never hold that against them on the quality of work they did.

The gentleman that came to the house was very professional and polite. While no major work was done I would call the company again.

Their price was reasonable. They came out in a timely manner. They were very informative and they showed me exactly what was wrong and what had to be fixed.

We called at 7pm on a Sunday night and Bill actually answered. He asked a few questions to see if we had everything checked from inside the house before setting a time to come out. He came out first thing the next morning at 8am, needed a part that wouldn't be available until the next day but called back at 11am the same morning and said he could be back to install the part. We had a/c back up and running perfectly before 2pm that Monday.

Our A/C unit went out on a Saturday night. We called Mr. Dohn on Sunday morning who immediately returned our call. Explained what the unit was doing and the urgency of the situation (a family member had just gotten out of the hospital from surgery and the house needed to be cool). He was very nice and compassionate. He said it sounded like we needed a new motor, but that he wouldn't be able to obtain one until the stores opened on Monday morning. (which is understandable since it was Sunday morning). He said they would be at our house first thing Monday morning and they were. The service man was very good, answered all our questions, came prepared with the appropriate replacement motor and fan, and was finished quickly. Our house was cooled in no time! Outstanding experience!!

My basement flooded and therefore the furnace and water heater stopped working. I called Bill who came to my house not even an hour after I called him. He let me know that the furnace was going to need to be replaced as the water had damaged all internal electrical systems. He came the very next morning at 9am to replace the furnace. He also checked the water heater and re-lit the pilot light as well as installed a new programmable thermostat. He was extremely honest and professional. Excellent! Will definitely use his company again!

Great Experience! After calling numerous companies seeking assistance to repair non-cooling AC system in extremely hot days, Bill was only one willing to come out within less than a week. Bill came that afternoon and diagnosed the problem. The next day his son was able to replace the ac system after rearranging his other appointments to meet our needs because we had no ac. Bill didn't try to oversell us on a system, but recommended one that fit out needs which we are very pleased with. Bill has all my heating & ac business from now on. Great Company with a customer service focus!Highly recommend them.

They offered to come out on a Sunday, but I told them I could wait till Monday. They were so incredibly responsive. Their price was far better than the other company I was looking at. They were professional, helpful, and extremely reasonable.

What was so good about them is that they came out and took care of the filter on the furnace. It was bigger than the one's I get, so I wasn't changing the filter as often as I should have and the guy said that he could fix that. The next visit with him, he brought me a whole box of them! That way I could change them when needed. He even drew a diagram on the furnace to show me which way it went in. They did an excellent job.

They did a thorough job finding out the problem. We would use them again.

Whey they could not figure out what the problem was I deeply appreciated their honesty. Very unusual for a company. I was able to call another company who could fix the problem. In the past they have been able to fix the problem and their charges are reasonable.

Our fairly new( 2 years old) Trane A/C unit did not start when we turned it on yesterday. The hottest day of the year I might add. I called around to get a service appointment; the first company I called, being the one we purchased the unit from, and of course ALL of the companies were booked until the middle of next week. I then called back and scheduled an appointment with the company we purchased the unit from. They said they would be out the middle of next week and the visit would require an $85.00 dollar service fee. I then decided I would call one more company from my most recent copy of Angie's List. The company I called was D & L Heating & Cooling. Bill answered the phone and asked me what was wrong. I explained that our "newer" AC unit wasn't working. He then proceeded to ask several questions in an effort to figure out what exactly the unit was or wasn't doing. He also asked me what we had done on our end to get it to operate. After listening to my answers he said the most logical next step would be to replace the fuses in the outdoor breaker box. He told me exactly how to do this and finished by telling me to call back if that didn't work. Two new fuses and $11.00 dollars later our AC unit was up and running. Now, Bill @ D & L could have done exactly what all the other companies did when I called. He could have told me when the next available appointment was and/or scheduled me an appointment. But, he didn't. He took the time to find out what my problem was and then was kind enough to tell me what to check. As, this would be the first thing a tech did when they came out. What is even more remarkable is that he did this during what has got to be one of his busiest times of the year; our first real spell of extremely warm temps. Bill answered the phone promptly and arrived at our house in less than an hour to check out our A/C after it didn't work properly all weekend. He added 2 pounds of freon (after warning us ahead of time that the cost for coolant had nearly doubled since last year), and suggested that we may want to upgrade to a bigger A/C condenser and coil in order to make it more energy efficient and help it work better (the existing unit is undersized for our house). He wrote up a quote for the cost of a new unit and the installation, which we are considering--especially after being told about the significant savings we could potentially see on our electric bills in the summer as well as less wear and tear on the unit itself because it wouldn't have to work as hard as the smaller one we have now. He showed up well within the time frame he gave us over the phone, and was always friendly, informative, courteous, and professional. We're checking out our finances now to see about upgrading the A/C unit, and we'll definitely call D & L to do the work for us!

Excellent! The two gentlemen that came to install the furnace were polite and knew exactly what they were doing. They worked straight through the day with no breaks, and left the work area cleaner than what they found it! I was also impressed that Bill (who gave the estimate) took the time to stop by to check on how the work was coming along. Everything was up and running the same day.

It was excellent from the beginning to the end. He was a very nice person to deal with. They installed a new AC and Heater. We were satisfied with the outcome.

Very prompt, professional and excellent work plus an excellent price compared to other estimates.

They were extremely nice and I would use them again.

He also felt that the filter in the furnace was too large and with pets I needed a smaller one and to replace them more frequently (once a month). He recommended dimensions for the new filters and said he felt they would be more effective. I was very pleased and happy with his recommendation. The filter was extremely dirty, since I have 2 cats. He came when he said he would for the free estimate and gave me a discount. He was prompt, helpful and did what I asked. I will use him again in the fall.

We are a little behind in submitting our report but figure better late than never. Mid July '07 Bill gave us an estimate on a new furnace and ac unit (we were in dire need of both). He was very down to earth and frank about what we needed versus what other companies were trying to up sell to us. Once we agreed to the contract (we were getting other bids as well) Bill scheduled our install within a week. His crew arrived on time and worked without break until both units were completely installed. They were really nice guys and cleaned everything up as well. They were finished in I think about four hours (can't remember how long it took exactly). We are very happy with both the product and service that Bill and his crew provided and can't believe how much more efficient our furnace was this winter (as opposed to our previous "monster" downstairs)! Would definitely recommend this company to anyone and will use them for future maintenance and service calls.

I felt they did an excellent job. They got right to it and repaired the problem. They didn't have to go across town to pick up a piece of equipment they forgot to bring (which seems to be a favorite ploy of many). I was appreciate of the work and friendly manner. I will definitely be calling them again should the occasion arise.
