Description of Work: Originally I purchased the $49 furnace cleaning and checkup. They came out cleaned the furnace and let me know of a leak I had in the exhaust. It was clear there was a leak as the floor under the furnace was wet however I had not been able to determine where it was coming from. D & L removed cut out the area that was leaking and replaced the line.

Description of Work: This is an excellent company, the son now does the actual work but father still helps with billing. During our worst snow storm my heating went out. I had the young man out a couple of months earlier to service it for winter conditions. I was please with him at the check up. 2 months later it broke down, I called him since he was just here an approved the working order and he came back out free of charge to evaluate the new situation. For unknown reasons the furnace did break down (20 years old) and so I needed to purchase a new one. I also had been having problems with the water heater and so I called and asked him to pick up a new one of those as well. Both installations were done professionally and promptly and he was able to take care of all the problems in 2 days. I would recommend them to anybody and will utilize them again if there is another need. I probably will also have him service the air conditioner this spring. Good job guys! Thanks!!!

+ -1 morePromptness rating really doesn't count since I contacted the owner while he was on vacation--that happens. Furnace was making a noise when it started up. Thinking it just needed a cleaning, my husband had me find an Angies Big Deal. The service person came and said the furnace was clean and I needed a new furnace because the bearings in the motor were going. He wound up servicing my whole house humidifier for about $20 instead. Because we have a home warranty I had to call the warranty company to come take a look at it. The bearings weren't going, it was actually the motor housing that needed screws tightened. The only cost to me was for the humidifier filter -- that still was a great deal

Description of Work: Our furnace was checked over on about the 6th and a new filter was installed. (4" Filtrete about $40.00) At the time, the exhaust fan motor had been making noises off and on. We decided to see how long it would perform its work, which turned out to be only till Friday evening. So we called D&L and they came out Saturday morning and replaced the fan motor. Excellent, quick service and a fair price. Will use them again for any HVAC problems.

He looked over my old furnace, did come cleaning and cleared out some jets that were causing blowback and inefficient burning. He stated that it was close to time to replace this old "hot dog cooker", and told me that his company sells new furnaces and does installs

+ -1 moreIt went very well. He did a great job: arrived exactly at the appointment time, he did a thorough inspection and cleaning. He was very professional and not high-pressure regarding replacing my older system. Do use D&L, they are very dependable and professional.
Description of Work: I paid for an Angie's List special: Clean and inspect Heating system. (Jason?) removed all the debris and dust from the system. He also inspected the ventilation, wiring, motor, etc.

When I finally got in touch Josh was friendly and helpful and we set the appointment with no problems. Josh explained to me all about the care and maintenance of my heat pump and my furnace. I had no idea how different an electric heat pump was compared with gas. He gave me an assessment of my equipment's condition and didn't try to sell me anything. I now have a clean heat pump and furnace that is functioning properly and that I am sure will last for years to come. Highly recommend this service provider!
