We purchased a big deal for the service. I thought the guy knew his stuff, but I also had another company here for the same thing in the past, and this tune up was different, because the other guys did a lot more work. Not that D & L did not do a satisfactory job, it is just that I think they did not do an extensive job.

Easy to contact, returned calls promptly. Set a time and date for service and was there on time. Service was fast and professional.

Provider left no receipt for service, no indication if ac OK or needed coolant. He was prompt but provided no support of any work performed.

Great service. Fit me in quickly during the busy season and was great to work with. Recharged a/c and now the house is cool.

The A/C was frozen up at my rental unit. He added freon and resolved the problem. I had wanted the A/C and furnace looked over at the rental unit to ensure everything looked OK but he indicated that there wasn't really anything to maintenance. Wouldn't even take the cover off of the furnace. The A/C was also frozen at my home. (both in the same day, go figure.) He added freon but determined that the problem was the fan wasn't working on auto. This effects A/C and the heat pump. Asked about replacing the component required to make it work on auto and he said to just leave the fan running non-stop. Said it was more efficient that way. I saw in another review that their company told someone else the exact opposite. In short, he took care of my immediate problem at two houses on back to back calls. He added freon to both AC's and that plus the trip cost me $400. Have no idea if that was a good price or not. I will have someone else out to fix the fan. He didn't seem interested.

The service that I requested was for him to check out the wiring/cabling on the AC unit to make sure it was safe. He did this but then added freon to the unit which I did not request or authorize. I brought this to his attention and he agreed not to charge me for the Freon. In addition to checking the AC unit, he was supposed to check out and clean the furnace. I left a new filter out for him to put in as well. He looked over the furnace (supposedly) but did not clean it nor did he put in the filter. I was working the day he performed the service but my roommate was home. He said he came in with nothing more than a temperature gauge. No other tools. The service that was most needed was the cleaning. I took the furnace door off to review what had been done and it was obvious the furnace had not been cleaned. The door wasn't even replaced properly. I tried calling him to discuss his work (or lack of) and reached his voice mail on three separate occasions. The third time I actually left a message but have yet to receive a return call. I have no intentions of paying my bill until the work is performed and performed correctly. The price was fair if he had just conducted the work!!!!

I've been working with D & L Heating & Cooling and they've been wonderful. I think I started with them this February and I had a couple of problems and then they've come back out free of charge and tried to deal with it and I think last time they were here was the end of June. It was wonderful, these people are great. It's a family operated, just seems real honest and upfront and I had problems with the water heater so he's been backed out here several times to fix it free of charge; when there's problems they just come back out for free to fix it until it's right. They just keep on coming out so I'm satisfied.

he drove about 30 miles to my house, cleaned the coils, added a pound of freon and checked the thermostat all for $75.00. He was there at the time he promised and was honest and courteous. Excellent.

The work was done professionally and promptly at the time and price quoted and was greatly appreciated. WILL use this company again.

He told me what type of filter to use. He explained a high pitch noise I can hear when the heat turns on. He told me leaving the fan on all day was costing me more money and to think about shuting it off. He explained the pros and cons of replacing certain parts and offered his opion as to what he thought was the right thing to do.

Called D&L early Saturday morning. Within an hour, Bill arrived, asked a few questions and properly diagnosed the problem. He replaced the capacitor and the air conditioner was up and running. Price was fair, service was fast, and repairman was trustworthy. I will use them again without reservation.

I scheduled to have my furnace cleaned but they guy mistakenly tuned up my A/C instead. I was too upset about that since I was going to have that done in the near future anyway. What I find unacceptable is that he added a pound of Freon without asking and then expected me to pay for it. He wanted to charge me an additional $70 on top of the $49 deal. When I declined he said "Well I guess I'll eat it then". I felt ripped off.

He added freon for an additional charge without asking me and then chraged me for it. Tyhat dissapointed me. I did not think the coupon was a good deal becasue it ended up being more expensive.

I contracted them on 5/27/13 to see about getting two central AC units serviced. The units were working, but didn't seem like they were cooling correctly. Bill Dohn said he could come out the next day (5/28), but I told him 5/30 was the most convenient for me. He said he'd be out at 1030AM and he was here at 1025AM. He checked the air temp and pressures in both units and said they were both low on R22, so he add 1lb to each unit. He rechecked the air temps and I could immediately feel the difference. The house feels cooler at the same temperature setting as before they were serviced. I'm sure it has to do with the units running more efficiently and removing the humidity better. I'll definitely use them in the future.

Bill was great. He returned my voicemail within 24 hours, discussed my A/C problem over the phone, and scheduled the service appt within 3 days. He called the morning of my appt to confirm the approx time of his arrival after his other appointments for the day. He arrived about 10 minutes early, diagnosed the issue and replaced the capacitor within 20 minutes. I will call Bill again for future furnace and A/C service and repairs.

The service turned out fine. It was not much that he has to do, but he explained some things to me what I needed to look out for in terms of the dehumidifier part of the furnace. It was some useful information, and I was glad that I did because it gave me some peace of mind that it was in good working order and I did not have to worry about it for a little while at least.

He came and got me working even though they were really busy. He even took the time to call me multiple times to make sure I knew he hadn't forgotten about me and was coming.

He was on time, courteous and gave me sound advice regarding the operation of my furnace and how to keep heating and cooling costs down. I hired him for a second job on one of my rental properties and he did a great job.

Arrived on time, immediately found the problem: a bug in one of the relays prevented the outside unit from kicking on. Added 1.5 lbs of coolant. Cleaned the coils. Charged me just the $50 service call plus the cost of the coolant. I'm a very happy customer; will call them first for future HVAC isuses.

They were very efficient and I trusted their advice regarding the condition of my furnace.

Bob scheduled the appointment within a week. He's not a man of many words, but he's friendly and very knowledgable about heating and cooling systems. I'm moving into a new house with an all electric heat pump, not something I'm familiar with and so his safety inspection was most valuable and helpful. He gave good advice on how to maintain the unusual heater and also took a look at the state of the air conditioner which I think was more than required but very appreciated. He also checked how much freon is left in the heater and air conditioner (both use it) and a estimated time frame when it will run out and need refilling.

I had a little trouble contacting them initially to set up the appointment. The owner was out of town, but once he put me in touch with his son the booking went quickly. They came out at the promised time and even wore shoe covers to protect the carpet. They inspected everything, answered all the questions I had and also gave me information about maintenance related to the expected life of my unit. They then cleaned my unit. They did not take up too much of my time and the experience was exactly as I expected it to be. The Big Deal purchase went though automatically without any issue. I expect to utilize this same service and vendor when it comes time to conduct inspection on my A/C.
