They do a fine job. I would recommend them.

We have got very good service from them. I know that they are a national company. They looked at a couple of trees the last time. One of the trees had a disease in it and I thought that it needed to be taken out. But they determined that it did not and they just trim it because it had frost damage. I was afraid that it was bug damage. There is an arborist in particular that we worked with for years with our trees. He has been very helpful coming out and evaluating trees on our property as well as my parents’ property. I think that he gives us an honest evaluation about them. So we trust his judgment.

We are very happy with them. Price wise they are reasonable. They are very professional and upfront. They are excellent at what we use them for. We will use them in the future.

I was very satisfied with the service people, but dissatisfied with the manager. The manager had looked in to the yard earlier and when I asked him when to have the Ash Tree sprayed, he never paid attention to it. If he would have guided me earlier, I would not have fungus on the tree now. The service men were very considerate and helpful. They gave me the name of the poisons they were using and did a great job. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

So far, I have liked the work that they have performed. In fact, I called them today about the treatment that they put on just before it rained. They guy who put it on called me back and explained how it worked and what type of treatment it was. They were really helpful. I would use their service in the future too.

They were flexible with the schedule, the rain this spring was crazy. I spoke to them, they drove by and provided an detailed estimate in an email, made adjustments I asked for and once it was dry enough, did the work. I couldn't tell by the impact on the yard that they had been here. But the trees looked great.

We had some bushes in front of our property that had overgrown to a point we needed to have them removed and new ones planted. I called the main number and they sent Shane to come out and give us an estimate. He came the next day and was ready to remove the bushes. He gave us a great price (which I thought was low given the work required) and we countered with a payment slightly higher. The job was done quickly, with great professionalism and Shane even cleaned up the mess afterwards. When he came to grind down the stumps (which was included in the original price), he used the stump grinder to break up the soil and dig the needed holes so we could plant the new trees. I will be using this company in the future when we need work done around the house.

Davey showed up and removed the trees as expected. Stump grinding happened the next week (after the rain and snow). Everything was quick and professional, we'll probably call them back to clean up some of our other trees.

Their professionalism stands out. They tend to be a bit more expensive than the competition. They have a lot of freelance tree trimmers and so forth. They're a nationwide company, even though their headquarters is here. They have been in business for a long time. They train their people very well. They are a very professional outfit. I've never had any problems with them.

They came out and looked at the tree. They were responsive. I found relatively few companies that provided this particular service, so I don't have much comparison. They have been around for a long time and tend to be expensive, I believe.

I didn?t use them. They came out twice. The estimate was for about $600. The guys who came out knew what they were talking about. The tree was coming down because it had some kind of disease. The guys were knowledgeable about what was wrong with it and why it had to be taken down. They came out within a day. I will certainly use them again for a quote in the future.

We haven't had enough services from them yet, but we did go with them. The representative from there came over and talked with us about what we needed and what they could do and it sounded good to us. They will send a bill for each service. We have had a problem with the ground cover and they sprayed that for us and they will come back and spray it again. It's a company we knew from many years ago and dropped because somehow or the other the lawn wasn't doing very well and it wasn't Davey's fault. It was because there hadn't been any rains that summer and not enough rain the next summer. It was really our fault for not watering, but that was many years ago. Now we are trying them again and we are satisfied. They respond quickly to questions and so forth. They have only been serving for us for the past month or so, but what they have done so far has been very good. We have received a price. Item by item we find out what the things cost. We just had lime put on this morning. Generally it's a good price all the way around. It's less than the other company which we used to have. Their responsiveness is very good. We would continue to use them if there aren't any changes. They are very nice people. They are very competent and they have good products. They call in whenever we need them. John Martin, the representative, was quite surprised that we got their name from Angie's List. On Angie's List the company is listed as Davey Tree Company and it seems that the only time anyone would be in touch with them would be for tree work. We were fortunate that we got the company through a lawn care quest. I would suggest that there is a little more emphasis on the fact that the company has a major lawn service program. It's a good company. Everybody knows about them as a tree service company, but not everybody knows about their lawn service, landscaping, and shrubbery.

We received a estimate for tree trimming a couple years ago. They did a great job and the price was what they quoted. They did a great cleanup job after they were done. Since that time we have them do yearly tree spraying an fertilizing. They do what you want done and there is no high pressure to buy extra service. They are polite and professional.

Contacted company for a quote to remove one limb from a tree that was overhanging the roof, and rubbing on the shingles. Quote was for $200. Invoice arrived for $280.15 which included tax which also included sales tax that was not given in the original quote. Called and asked to speak to someone about the overcharge. Person answering the phone said the secretary was not in. I was asked to be connected to a manager. No manager in, but a message would be left for the manager to call back. As of Nov 16 no one had called back. On Nov 17, two items were received by mail. One postmarked Nov 13 was a credit memo for $53.87. One postmarked Nov 16 was another invoice showing the credit and a corrected balance. Still no contact from a manager, but grudgingly the invoice was immediately paid by electronic transfer. Figured the experience was over, but would not use this company again, nor recommend it. Then on Nov 19 and "dunning letter" dated Nov 17 arrived. Now salt had been poured in the wound. Called the company customer service number and explained. She apologized and said this never should have happened. First, the account should have been marked for no dunning. Secondly the district manager should have called. "Should haves" are nice, but when it comes to delivering service, it doesn't make it. But, please don't loose track of the fact that the original problem was that they invoiced more for the service than their quote. Beware.

It went very well, they were quick and efficient. They ground up the trees and hauled them away. I was very pleased. I paid exactly what I was quoted.

They trim all the shrubs and trees. The do clean ups around the house for me. They do painting work as well. They are very good and know everything about their job. They are prompt, careful with the way they work and when they are finished they make sure that the area is cleaned up and is left in a good manner. Their price is probably high.

Patrick & Tyler, who are both graduates of Kent Roosevelt's Arborist Program did an excellent job of cutting the tree down. They laid plywood down onto the neighbor's yard to prevent damage as they drove their bucket truck across the lawn. A bucket had to be used because the tree could not be climbed. Tree limbs & branches were dropped into an ivy patch alongside the tree (on my property). Both Patrick & Tyler did an excellent job, communicated well, and cleaned up afterward in an immaculate fashion. Kudos to both young men who did the work efficiently and safely, and to Davey Tree. The price for the work was competitive to another quote obtained, but I chose Davey because of their reputation for quality tree and lawn care.

The process went very smoothly. John came out as scheduled in mid January during a terrible snow storm to give an estimate. I made the appointment about 1 month later. The work was done very quickly and professionally by the team. The whole job only took about three hours. The area in which I live is very congested. They did a great job dropping the trees in a safe manner. When I got the bill, the price was the same as quoted. It was a great experience from start to finish.

We are not very pleased because we have more weeds than we should have. We spoke with them about the problems. They didn't resolve the problem, they just said we should have watered the lawn more. We are now having to have our entire lawn redone.

Excellent. They did fast work on a big job. They came to give an estimate on a Friday and came back on Mon-Tues to do the work. They did exactly what I wanted in clearing out branches and overgrown areas while leaving enough for privacy and looks. They also consulted on kinds of trees and their care. They did total clean up and left mulch. They had to use my neighbor's drive for access and there were no problems there. I have used another local tree service for small trimming, but now prefer Davey. They are not cheap, but felt I got a lot for my money. I have lots of trees so they want my business, but I am still impressed with their professionalism. I used online request for service, and they called me from that within a few days. The rep. also kept in touch with me.

VERY PROFESSIONAL. RETURNED CALL PROMPTLY, CAME OUT FOR ESTIMATE SOON, AND WERE ON TIME AND QUICK DOING THE WORK. CLEAN-UP WAS GOOD, TOO.

THEY DID A GOOD JOB ON THE TREE SERVICE AND LANDSCAPING. HOWEVER, THEY CAME OUT TO DO THE FERTILIZING WITHOUT CALLING AND THEY COULDN'T DO IT BECAUSE THEY HADN'T CALLED AND THEY NEVER GOT BACK TO ME TO RESCHEDULE. I TRIED TO CALL THEM AND THEY DIDN'T RETURN MY CALLS.

DAVE BROWN KNOWS AND RESPECTS TREES! HE VISITED OUR YARD TWICE WITHOUT COMPLAINT. HE RETURNS CALLS PROMPTLY. HIS WORKERS DID A FANTASTIC JOB THINNING AND SHAPING OUR MAPLE TREES. THEY LOOK GREAT! WE HAVE MORE SUNLIGHT IN THE YARD NOW, TOO. VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PROFESSIONAL AND TRUSTED SERVICE. WORTH THE MONEY.

THEY HAVE A HISTORY ON OUR PROPERTY. THEY WILL WAIT UNTIL A PROBLEM HAS HAPPENED BEFORE THEY OFFER TO FIX IT.
