Description of Work: Began and finished complete roofing job while we were away. Our neighbors texted us that they were there. The flashing was so shoddily done that they had to return several times to fix it. The owner finally came and saw that everything was fixed. All this took a couple of months. The roof does seem to be okay now.

Description of Work: I had my roof completely replaced and a beam in the attic fixed. Initial contact and customer service were very good and timely, but once I signed the contract, customer service went downhill. The sales rep did not follow up with me at all. The roofers were very friendly, efficient, and cleaned the yard up incredibly well. I had to ask multiple times where the attic worker was and when that work was getting done. The sales rep had completely forgotten that part of the contract. If it were not for the sales rep, this would have been a much more positive experience.

Description of Work: My roof had storm damage. Shield's terms are that they will do the work for whatever your insurance company will pay on your claim. At first I was put off by this approach but after seeing what other companies wanted to charge me I was very happy that Shield would do the job for this amount. When the time came they were very efficient, did good work, and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. Even when I had a couple questions the next day they immediately came right out and fixed a couple little things for me.

Description of Work: They showed up unannounced in our neighborhood asking for permission to go on roofs to inspect for wind & storm damage that our insurance might cover; I gave them approval, but they had to do a little later; when he did go up on roof he said that it was too cold & our shingles were too frozen for them to see damage (??but yet they saw it from the ground??); therefore they ask if it would be OK for them to come back on Wednesday (2/4/15) & check out roof for damage & then give us a report & estimate; it is now Tuesday (2/11/15) & I have never heard back from them.... Therefore, I would not recommend them to anyone because they can not be believed, trusted, or counted on to follow through - that is obvious!

 + 0 moreThey had the supplies delivered ahead of time. They showed up on time. Stuck with the roofing job every day until it was completed. Workmanship was excellent. Attention to detail was excellent. Workers were very courteous, highly professional, timely, and dependable. Shield did exactly what they promised to do. Managers were very sincere in ensuring that the job went as promised and that the workers were well supervised. They are scheduled to replace our gutters and downspouts, and we will update our review once that job is completed.

When the insurance adjuster was here, they met him here and they went over everything with the insurance adjuster. They've been really helpful.
