 + -1 moreDave Grube called me back five days after I sent an email requesting an estimate to upgrade some electrical outlets to GFI. We scheduled an appointment for Rob to visit the house. Rob arrived on time, inspected the outlets, and quoted the price at $275 for five outlets, however, I found another company that did the job for $30 less.

 + -1 moreHe came to look at the wire so I could have a three way switch restored. He said it would be a lot of trouble and asked me if I could live without it. He did restore power in my garage. I also have two electrical boxes in my basement, one with circuit breakers and the other has fuses. He told me it should only be about $250. It took him about three weeks to finally come back out. I stayed home so I would be here when he was here. I didn't receive a phone call until later that afternoon stating he was ill. He then promised to be here on a Monday morning at 9am. I called the office at 10am and he was about an hour away on another job. He finally came out the next week and did minimal work, just to make sure the lights were working in the garage. I was not impressed with the company.
Description of Work: There was a wire running alongside my driveway that I was having replaced. The wire was running from the garage to the house.

 + 0 moreTheir estimate was competitive. Rob arrived at 8:30. He was very pleasant, professional, and worked the entire time that he was at the house. He also made a trip to the hardware store during the day to get some parts. He seemed very competent but could have been better prepared by having the right tools on hand (flashlight, ladder, beige caulk) and could have paid more attention to aesthetic/quality when selecting materials for the job. Overall, though, he did a good job. He suggested adding five GFI's at $50 a piece ($250 more). The original quote was $600. The five GFI's brought the total to $850. The Angie's List 10% discount brought it down to $765. I paid $850, and Rita said that they will send me the $85 discount and four light bulbs per the online coupon. Rita was very professional, responded quickly, and honored the Angie's List discount.
Description of Work: They checked/repaired the electric outlets throughout the house, replaced the cord on the dryer, connected the hallway utility light across the hall, replaced the electric switch on the fireplace, replaced 3' wire, and installed an outside spotlight.

 + 0 moreOutstanding service - the movers were packing up the house and getting ready to roll. They had finally reached the pool table when they explained that the lamp over the table had been hard-wired into the ceiling. They explained that we needed an electrican, they could not remove it. The closest electrician (in Angies List) was Triple A. They were at the house within 30 minutes, got the lamp down and even had time to fix some lights in the backyard that I had been concerned about leaving for the buyers.
Description of Work: Removed one lamp that had been hardwired over a pooltable and repaired several outdoor lights highlighting trees in the backyard.

 + -1 moreI used Triple A Electric once before, and their performance was fantastic. Courteous, timely, and fair pricing. They earned my repeat business. So when I had another electrical service need, I naturally reached out to them. I attempted to contact them four times over a two week period, and left messages on their answering machine and once with the person who answered the phone, but never received a call back. I even mentioned I was an Angie's List member, but for some reason that did not seem to help. Truly, a disappointing turn of events.
Description of Work: I was looking to have some light electrical work done around our home.

 + -1 moreRita Grube replied to my email within one day. However, after that I waited two days to actually get a phone call from Dave Grube for an appointment. Dave quoted a price of $75 over the phone and an appointment was made. Ross arrived on time for the appointment and finished the fan hook-up in less than 45 minutes. I gave Ross a check for payment, although he did not have any receipt to give me, which I thought was kind of strange. Overall, it was a positive experience.
Description of Work: They hooked-up the attic exhaust fan.

The electricians arrived when they said they would, performed the requested work, demonstrated that the outlets were properly wired, cleaned up and left. A few days later, I received a follow up call to see if everything was to my satisfaction. Great work guys!
Description of Work: The company ran two grounded outlets, one to my office and one to my living room. They also installed an outlet under my sink for a future garbage disposal and dishwasher.

 + -1 moreDAVE GRUBE RETURNED MY CALL IN A TIMELY MANNER. HE WAS ONLY WILLING TO GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE OVER THE PHONE. AFTER GETTING AN IN PERSON ESTIMATE FROM ANOTHER PROVIDER, I WAS NOT COMFORTABLE WITH THE ESTIMATE THE DAVE GAVE ME. I FELT THAT TOO MANY ISSUES HAD NOT BEEN CONSIDERED & IF I WENT WITH TRIPLE A ELECTRIC THAT THE PRICE COULD RISE QUITE A BIT AFTER THE JOB BEGAN. I AM NOT WILLING TO HIRE A COMPANY THAT WILL NOT DO AN ONSITE VISIT BEFORE GIVING ME A QUOTE ON ELECTRICAL WORK.

Description of Work: WE HAD A MYSTERY PROBLEM IN OUR BASEMENT - LIGHTS ON ONE HALF OF IT ALL OF A SUDDEN STOPPED WORKING. THESE GUYS DILIGENTLY AND METHODICALLY WORKED TO NARROW DOWN THE PROBLEM AREA, THEN REPAIRED WHAT THEY FOUND. THEY WEREN'T CONFIDENT THAT THIS WAS THE ENTIRE SOURCE OF OUR PROBLEM, BUT SINCE THEY'D ALREADY SPENT WELL OVER 2 HOURS (THOUGH ONLY CHARGING US FOR 2 HOURS) TROUBLESHOOTING, THEY SUGGESTED SEEING IF WE HAD FUTURE PROBLEMS AND THEY'D COME BACK IF THE LIGHTS STOPPED WORKING AGAIN (I.E., TO SAVE US MONEY IF WHAT THEY DID ACTUALLY DID SOLVE THE PROBLEM). A WEEK LATER, THE LIGHTS STOPPED WORKING AGAIN, SO WE CALLED THEM BACK IN. AFTER MORE DETAILED METHODICAL SEARCHING FOR THE PROBLEM, THEY FOUND 3 ADDITIONAL PROBLEMS THAT THEY REMEDIED. THEY ALSO ANSWERED QUITE A FEW QUESTIONS ABOUT THE GENERAL STATE OF OUR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FOR US (AND THE ANSWERS WERE NOT ONES THAT WOULD SCARE US INTO CALLING THEM BACK!). WE WILL DEFINITELY USE TRIPLE A FOR ANY FUTURE ELECTRICAL NEEDS!!
