Description of Work: Unable to do my floors at this time but referred me to his brother. He came in the next week and did a fantastic job and for less money than I had thought. He sanded and restrained with three coats of polyurethane living room, dining room, hallway, and one bedroom. Extremely professional and personable. Cannot say how much I appreciate the work done and the referral. Floors look great and he cleaned up wonderfully.

Description of Work: Szabi Farkas is a one man operation. His quote was a fair price. The work took six days. He was always early. Did not take lunch. Also worked on Saturdays. We had two areas that needed repairs and five rooms, hall, and stairs refinished. He and his Father also helped move furniture. He sets the performance bar very high. A+ Leonard Dyko Bay Village

Over the course of three days he sanded, stained and applied three coats of polyurethane to about 400-600 sq. ft of 89 year old oak floors in my recently purchased Shaker Heights home. Additionally, he performed minor repairs to the wood that looked flawless. I ended up calling him back to do the master bedroom and will likely have I’m finish the rest of the house. The floors look brand new and I couldn’t be more pleased. I called numerous flooring guys for estimates and he was the lowest, but also provided phenomenal service. I would highly recommend Sobe for any of your flooring needs…he’s great.

+ 0 moreSzabi Frakas worked his schedule around our commitments. He was very clean, with almost no dust from the sanding, and efficient in his work. He does not waste time and he always cleans up after himself. He called ahead to confirm when he would arrive and came when he said he would. He worked with us to get exactly the finish we wanted. The finished floor exceed our expectations for its appearance. This was one of the most satisfying and professional experiences I have ever had with a contractor. I can recommend Szabi Frakas without reservation.
Description of Work: Szabi Farkas was engaged to sand and refinish a 400sqft pre-finished Bruce hardwood foyer floor that had faded badly. His $400.00 bid was $180.00 lower than the next lowest bid. He sanded and vacuumed the floor in about two hours and then worked with us to get the exact stain color we wanted. Sanding and staining took about four hours the first day. The second day he stopped by to apply two coats of water based urethane on the floor. The third day he stopped by to buff the floor, vacuum it and then apply a finish coat of satin urethane.

+ 0 moreThey were prompt and very professional. They were very clean and had a very reasonable price. The first day they stripped the floor. Then came back the next day to stain and put a polyurethane coat down. Then came back the third day and put another coat of stain and polyurethane down. I would definitely recommend them to others.

+ 0 moreAfter sanding, they looked original. Szabi painted large squares of finish in four colors and let us call him late that evening with our choice. The staining and polyurethane application are beautiful. Great attitude. Very, very little dust from sanding. Worked around dog and cat, which we kept locked up as necessary. Will definitely recommend to friends.
Description of Work: Living and dining room hardwood floors, originally installed in 1956 and last finished in 1987, were sanded, stained and polyurethaned.
