Description of Work: We had the electrical panel upgraded from fuses to breakers. He was on time and polite. The time to complete the work was close to what was quoted, and he had the permit ready from the city. We also had an electrical outlet added in the garage afterwards, which was quickly done. The only negative is that he likes to schedule the city inspector to come out the day the work is completed so that everything is taken care at one time. Unfortunately, the inspector was on vacation that week, which was scheduled for a latter day.

Description of Work: Installed new electrical outlet. The work I needed would cost more to run new wire, he did not specify the cost. Seems any extra work labor and equipment would have been costly. He advised that my box needed to be updated (which it was this year).

Description of Work: I had two hanging light fixtures replaced in my bathroom. I purchased the fixtures earlier in the year and all I needed was an electrian to install them. I could tell Jim knew what he was doing because he asked for the fixtures and immediately started to work. He finished in less time than needed.

Description of Work: Most of the electric in the house was out, including the furnace and March was cold this year. We called Expo Electrical Technologies, and left a message. Jim Hess responded promptly. We explained the problem, and he gave a preliminary diagnosis and suggested we call the Illuminating Company first. We asked him to come anyway, saying we would gladly pay a service charge. He came to our house promptly, his diagnosis was correct, and the Illuminating Company fixed the problem. He was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. We would definitely call him again.

+ -1 moreJim Hess did exactly what I requested, and he did it quickly; within 3 days of our initial meeting. He was neat and very thorough. I was impressed with how helpful and professional he was. In fact, he came back at no charge to make a slight adjustment in the placement of one of the outlets, even though it was my mistake (I hadn't been specific enough at the start). Highly recommended.
Description of Work: Expo provided the labor and material to remove 60 amp main electrical service, fuse panel and Federal Pacific breaker panel. He then installed new 100 amp electrical service and a new 100 amp breaker panel, including grounding to meet current code. He also ran 4 new outlets into 4 rooms throughout the home (kitchen, 3 upstairs bedrooms).

They wanted to leave and come finish it in the morning, but since they made the hole in the wall, I asked them to stay and finish it. They did what I asked of them. The price was fine. They were very responsive.
Description of Work: I used Expo Electrical to install extra outlets in the garage, an outlet on the molding outside the garage, and an outlet in the basement. The basement outlet was a bit tricky because he had to run the wiring through the ceiling into the basement in our older house.

I had the estimate verbally and in writing the same day. Jim was very friendly and personable and I have 2 small children, so that says alot. Jim was able to schedule the work the following week and completed his job flawlessly. He is very thorough and I would recommend his services to anyone.

+ 0 moreJim was fantastic! He was very professional, timely and trustworthy. In order to re-wire the entire house, Jim needed to work a 40 hour week in the house while I went to work. His progress was steady and he arrived daily to work full days until the job was completed. Jim was responsive to questions, knowledgeable, and very skilled. He cleaned up before he left daily. He provided a precise estimate and completed his work exactly when promised. Jim required no deposit and accepted 100% upon the completion of the job. I've given several people his name/number at their request. I look forward to hiring him again.
Description of Work: Removed outside meter & wires, inside main breaker panel and replace with new 100AMP service. Ground new electrical service. Consolidate old fuse panels. Rewire circuits fed out of fuse panels. Installed and added new receptacles in entire house and on front porch. Remove and replace old/broken light fixtures.
