EXPO ELECTRICAL TECHNOLOGIES

Both Jim, the owner, and his assistant were at the house promptly and did a wonderful job updating the electrical in the basement. They capped off some live wires that were down there as well as updated the electrical box on the wall. I would very much hire them again should I need electrical work done.

Company owner returned my call the same day, and arrived at my house, as agreed, the following morning. He determined that a faulty receptacle needed to be replaced. He had the needed part on his truck and immediately installed it, fixing the problem. He and his helper were punctual, neat, personable, and professional.

Both guys were there on time, were professional and very friendly! I would hire them for any job!

Everything was great! From the first time Jim came and gave us a quote to when he upgraded out system we knew this was the company and guy to do it. Very fair price compared to other quotes we received. Jim was very very flexible and did the work for us on a Saturday. Can't say enough positive things. Will certainly be calling him for anything else electrical and would recommend his services to anyone in the area.

Jim was great and easy to work with. He came by to provide an estimate and then was able to scheduled the work to be completed a few weeks later. He's a personable guy and I had a good time chatting with him. As for the installation, Jim was willing to customize the install to where I wanted the outlets and did so in a clean and professional manner. I will definitely be using him again for any of my electrical needs.

Owning multiple homes and properties I work with and along side many professionals. I have to share that Jim wasnt just one of the most professional and punctual, but once of the hardest working and easiest to work with. He is polite, engaging but focused on his tasks and did a terrific job. He picked up after himself and was very courteous in regards to my freshly steamed cleaned carpets.

I contacted Jim about two weeks before the work was done. He responded quickly and was able to come to my house at my convenience to give a free estimate on the job. We were able to schedule the work in a very reasonable amount of time and again, around my work schedule. He arrived promptly the morning of the job, and did all the work while I was away. Everything was cleaned up when he and his assistant were finished. He also took the needed time to label and explain everything that had been done. Overall, I thought Jim was extremely knowledgable, professional, courteous, and trustworthy. I plan to use him again for additional electrical work around the house.

He came out on a Sunday to install security cameras that took me longer than anticipated to decide which brand to get. Can't say enough good about him. Professional, on time for appointment, took his time mounting the cameras and seems responsive if I have any issues down the road. Would definitely rehire and recommend his service to others!!

Jim worked quickly and efficiently and answered all of our questions. He was on time for our scheduled appointment and even texted me that morning to say that he was on his way. It was great working with him.

Fantastic service that was quick and professional. Not only did Jim return my call within an hour or so of leaving a message, but he arrived to my home to fix the issue on the same day. I will definitely be using Expo Electrical for future electrical needs.

This was the second time I've used Expo, and they have done very good work on several minor electrical repairs at both my current and previous home. I would be happy to use them again because the quality of the work seems very high and Jim very knowledgable. Unfortunately, scheduling with them has been quite a challenge, but I wouldn't let that deter me from working with them again.

First, the electric outlet that kept the heater on and the air stone running in the koi pond mysteriously stopped working. So there i was in a panic, in tears in the dead of winter face down in the snow with a power drill, making holes in three-inch thick ice. I ran an extension cord from another outlet to the pond heater and air stone. Crisis averted. | |Next, the other outlet went south within 48 hours. Power drill and more aggravation. Using four extension cords, I ran power from the heater and the air stone in the pond (located at the back of the property) all the way through the back yard, down the driveway, and from the back of the front porch to the front of the front porch to the last of the working outdorr outlets. Time to activate our new Angie's List premium membership and call an electrician. | |I sent a few emails and left a few messages. Jim Hess at Expo called me promptly -- after 6 pm on a Thursday night -- and said he would be on the case at 10 am the next morning. And he was. Right on time. | |I had visions of him having to dig up the underground electrical, and all manner of costly nightmare maneuvers to restore electric to these essential outlets (while one is dedicated to koipond life support, the other operates the automatic gate). Jim started with the basics -- checking the electric panel and the junction boxes -- and even said that he would figure it out within a half hour. And he did. Then it was on to making the repair to a junction box and replacing one of the outlets that he said was old and not even rated for extreme weather. | |I had purchased a two hour block of time, and even going to get a new heavy duty 4-outlet box, he went over by 45 minutes but only charged an extra $75 for the parts. The one thing that needs to be changed is the cover for the outlet box; it's opaque but it needs to be clear because the gate transformer has a power lite and it needs to be visible. I didn't know before he went to buy it that it wasn't going to be transparent, otherwise I would have specifically requested transparent. Or maybe there wasn't a transparent cover available. Anyway, my husband has to replace the opaque cover. | |However, Jim said that if I have any problems with the outlets, to call him. The outlets that operate the gate opener and a lighting feature have tripped a couple of times, requiring me to climb through a mountain of snow to reset it. (And because the cover is opaque, I only know the GFCI has cut off because the lighting feature went dark.) Anyway, if it trips again, I will call Jim and no doubt he will correct the problem. His knowledge is impressive and we already consider him our go-to for upcoming projects that require a master electrician. The reason I gave pricing a B is because Expo is pricier than average. Of course after the electrical crisis had been averted, another electrician popped up here that was offering two hours of service (same as Expo) for quite a bit less. However, who's to say that the other contractor would have been as prompt or as competent?

It went well, he did a good job. The only issue was his contact, he was slow to respond, I had to do a lot of following up.

It went well! I knew the job would be expensive and needed to be inspected, so the price did not bother me. Jim was very responsive, efficient, and I had to do nothing but remove the dog for the day. He even took care of calling the city inspector and arranging the inspection, and also called the electric company to have them install a new meter outside. This is how professionals work! He took care of all the little details and necessities that I would not even know I had to do. I would definitely use him again and recommend him for anyone needing a superb quality licensed electrician.

Timely. Efficient. Professional. Was able to figure out how to trace/reconnect power to an outlet that I thought was a lost cause. Great value for the money. Will definitely use him again.
