EXPO ELECTRICAL TECHNOLOGIES

Our cable company advised us that we needed to hire an electrician to add cable tv lines and ports in various rooms of our home. Jim responded to my voicemail promptly. He was great to work with and very flexible. Before work started he told me what he was going to do and what he was going to charge. He cleaned up each room that he worked in perfectly. There were no surprises. We are very happy with the work he performed and the price. We would definitely recommend him to others!

The work they did was wonderful but I was very disappointed in them because I have been trying to get him to come back and do more work and he never returns my calls. Although the work he did was wonderful; when I wanted him to come back and do more work for me, he came out and gave a quote. When I was trying to get it scheduled, he never called me back. So, that lack of communication brought his grade down.

The second thing was a menial thing. But everything was excellent. I had no complaints at all.

It turned out very well. I thought they did a very nice job. I had multiple quotes and they gave me a great quote. They finished everything on time. I was really happy with the price, the work and everything. The first time it was like several thousand dollars, maybe it was $3500 or $4000 or something like that. The second time, I called them back to fix a light. It was maybe, $100 or something. The pricing was upfront and it was clear. I knew because I got multiple quotes. I think the guy's name was Jim. He sat down and said, "Okay. This is what you want. This is how much it is per outlet or per light or per room" Whatever it was, it was really itemized and specific, which was very helpful. So there were no surprises. The other thing was he gave me a time-frame and he finished it within the time-frame. Because it was a full time, full week job, I had to be home for a whole week. If he had gone over that, I would have had to take more time off of work. So he did everything he said he was going to do in the amount of time that he said he was going to do it. Some days he worked 14 hour days, just to make sure he kept within his time-frame. So it was very appreciated.

Jim of Expo Electrical Technologies was very good. He took care of the problem. He did a few extra things that I asked on the spot. It took him a little bit to get time wise to a spot. It wasn’t anything I didn’t expect. He called me back right away after our initial contact. He did say that he was about a week to two weeks out. I knew that that was going to happen. He was right on time and within a week, he was right at the house. He did a great job. His prices were very reasonable. Everything worked out just fine. I will have him back. I even told him when we decided to this other thing we wanted to do, I would just call him right back. I won’t even worry about trying to find somebody else.

Upon discovering that one leg of our power was out, I first called the power company's after hours line to report the issue. When calling he next day to get an update, the representative indicated they'd checked and there were no issues with the power company's equipment coming into the house. I was doubtful they'd inspected anything thoroughly, but went ahead and started my search on Angie's List for a local electrician to help troubleshoot the problem. I tried another electrician first, but after no return call 5+hours later, and the somewhat urgent need to have the problem addressed, I called Jim and he was a pleasure to deal with. He indicated he could stop by that evening after finishing his current job, and though he arrived before I was home from work, he said he was ok waiting. Jim spent 15 - 20 minutes checking the electrical panel and connections, assured us that everything was working properly, and didn't charge for the inspection, though we were happy to compensate him for his time and assistance. Our old house needs a number of electrical upgrades, and we will definitely look into using Jim again when the project makes it to the top of the to-do list. The issue ended up being due to wear on the line coming into the house from a tree branch and the power company had to replace and restring a portion of the line. While it was annoying that it took a couple of days and unnecessary time on everyone's part to determine and fix the problem, our dealings with Jim were nothing but positive.

Jim with Expo Electric quickly returned my call and stopped by my house the same day. He was polite, professional and got the job done quickly and efficiently. The price was reasonable and fair. I will definitely use Expo again for any electrical needs.

Jim has been a terrific find. He shows up when promised and works a full day. Very easy going, methodical and knowledgable. We discussed the work before anything was done and I think the pricing was fair for the work performed.

This has been my experience on Angie's list but I think it's absolutely awful that these people don't call you back! I emailed an called and can't get anyone to call me back!

Went very well. Was able to setup a date to perform the services very quickly which was exactly what we needed. All work was performed better than expected and in the time allotted. We will use this professional again.

We were looking into buying a house that needed some electrical issues fixed to pass inspection. I called as they were very helpful and were able to give us a estimate over the phone. We didnt end up using them because the seller fixed the issue before the sale but we would recommend them as they were very helpful over the phone

The LED fixture Jim installed in the utility room was just what I needed. Was wide enough so I didn't have to repaint ceiling. The CFL bulb replaced incandescent ceiling bulb in the garage. Would have preferred an LED bulb but none are available at this time equivalent to a 150 watt bulb. Jim also purchased and installed candelabra base LED bulbs in my hard-to-reach hallway fixture. Am looking for an LED-integrated fixture for my kitchen. When I find one, will call Jim for installation. He is a very good electrician and also a personable individual. It was a pleasure to do business with him.

Jim Hess and his assistant, Jim, were prompt and professional. They took the time to answer any questions I had. I would use them again, should the need arise.

I couldn't have been happier with the service that Jim and his assistant Jim gave me. He returned my call immediately and came out within a day or two to review what all I needed. I got a written estimate emailed to me within a day's time. Once I accepted the estimate, we scheduled for his and my first available, which was about a week and a half. (my availability played a part in this). He came out on time, was very thorough, very clean and got the job done pronto with no additional repair work necessary for where he actually installed electrical for new kitchen fixture or cable and outlet in basement. They took shoes off when they came in the house and were exceptionally tidy. Not only that, they were both just genuinely nice, good people. I have already hired him for a second time to install 2 sconces in my bedroom! I would highly recommend Jim. Timely, courteous, fair, and tidy. Who could ask for more!

Called for an estimate and Jim arrived in a couple days and gave a price on the spot as well as emailed the quote later that day. Had the work scheduled for the following week and showed up on time and completed the work for less than the original quote. Excellent work, communication and timeliness. Very happy with service - definitely recommend!

It went very well. Jim has performed work for over the past 3 years. It has ranged from replacing lights, to re-running electrical to an unattached garage and re-doing my electrical box (updating and adding extra inputs). He is very friendly. Takes time to get to know you and is very polite. He is my go to electrical resource and would recommend him to anyone.

Jim arrived on time an set to work immediately. Very neat and tidy. Work was very high quality. Jim is extermely professional and by far the best electrician I have had at our house. We are extemely pleased with Jim's work and would use him again.

After two phone messages, we made an appointment for an estimate. He came out and we went over the entire project. He took notes as we went. I was told estimate would be available within the week. I called and sent email after a week and half with no response. I tried again about a week later and never received a response.

It went really well. He (Jim) kept the excavation as neat and clean as possible - I did not want a big muddy mess in the lawn after the trenching for the cable. Dirt was placed on tarps. Site was cleaned up nicely afterwards. Arrived on time and finished in the time estimated. Cost was very competitive compared to some of the other estimates i received (the others were so high I would not have bothered to make the improvement.) I have his card and would definitely use them again.

After contacting 2 other companies, we went with Expo Electric because the price was less and Jim was recommended by another house repair person. We scheduled him and he called and had to come the next day because of an emergency with another customer. He came with an assistant and completed the work in a timely manner. We were there the whole time. When he had any questions he was careful to check with us. We ended up feeling like our overall electrical situation was in good shape.

I e-mailed another electrical company that had excellent ratings on Angie's list and waited a full week for a reply. Since I did not receive a reply, I called Expo Electric which had excellent ratings on Angie's, also. I called on Monday afternoon, and Jim Hess, the owner, answered the phone right away. We discussed my needs and he gave me an estimate over the phone and said he would be in the area the next day and would call. He called the next day at noon and was here at 12:30 and went right to work. Jim was prompt to respond to my call, followed through exactly as he said, was polite, professional and efficient in getting the work done. I would definitely call Jim again if I have the need and recommend his service to others.

Called Expo on March 4th and wanted an appointment on my day off, March 7th. There was no problem, it was scheduled for 8am. On March 6th Jim called me and said he had forgotten his daughter had something in the morning and needed to reschedule for 4pm. Still wasn't a problem. It became a problem when I was sitting there waiting for him and he decided just never to show up and never to call. NOTHING. Apparently he has enough business he is not looking for more, OR he can barely handle the business he has. Either way, avoid him, if he cant show up for the ESTIMATE, what kind of service will he provide if you HIRE him!
