Krumlauf Floors

Fantastic experience! I contacted Krumlauf Floors after reading reviews on Angie's List. I had called two other flooring companies before Krumlauf. I waited over three weeks for estimates from both those companies and with one the incorrect area's were in the estimate. I made an appointment with Krumlauf and both Roger and Landen came. They performed thorough measurements and recommended flooring materials. I was told the estimate would be in my email within 2 days and just as they said it was there. Landed worked with me on scheduling and even though I changed the materials several times he honored the time commitment. They arrived to do the floor at the exact time and on the exact day they told me. The work was flawless. I couldn't be happier! This was one of the best business experiences I have ever had. You won't find a better flooring company.

Krumlauff flooring is one of the best contractors we have ever had the pleasure to work with. Landan and his father Roger are responsive, knowledgeable (not sure anyone knows more about flooring), incredibly professional and most of all trustworthy. They installed new core tec flooring throughout the entire first floor of our home after demoing the carpet and installing new sub flooring. This was installed over our existing hardwoood to preserve it. Roger also painted and installed new trim for an updated finished look. Their crew was professional and the work was done over the course of a week (fast!). Would work with Krumlauff again in a heartbeat.

The Krumlaufs were quick to respond and stayed in touch with me even when I couldn't make up my mind on which floor I wanted. They were always available to answer questions. They were neat and came in and completed the job in 2 days and cleaned up after themselves. The floor looks great!

Good communication, prompt response, professional

They did an excellent job. After removing the existing floor coverings, they moved my furniture to one side of the large area. I had pet stains on the underlayment, so they painted those areas with Kilz. They installed wide vinyl planks that look like wood. They did an excellent installation job, including cutting around the kitchen island, moving the stove and fridge to install the flooring under the appliances, removing, staining, and re-installing the shoe molding and rubber molding in the kitchen, and cutting around the wire where the TV cable comes in. They carried the remaining pieces of planking to my basement, so I can have replacement planks if ever needed. They were in communication throughout the material ordering process, came on the days and times we agreed on, finished when they said they would, and cleaned up after themselves. I cleaned fine dust off some surfaces, but I didn't expect them to be a detailed cleaning service too! They dusted many of the surfaces in the family room before they left! They are personable, professional, and followed every request. I would definitely hire them again. I love the way the new floor looks and feels. It was a quality job.

They did excellent work with super attention to detail. They were pleasant people to have around. We love our new floors. The only reason I have not rated 5 stars is because the estimated, 3-4 days took a full 5 days.

We had a great experience with Krumlauf Floors. We had our own supplier for the flooring, so we needed installation services only. Roger and Landan came to our home and gave us a prompt and reasonable estimate that included the measurements we needed to place our order with the flooring manufacturer. They removed and disposed of our old carpeting, moved furniture when necessary (including our piano), and completed the job in one work session. The floor looks beautiful and they did an excellent job of installation.

Prompt/ professional service through the entire process.

They were professional and straightforward with pricing and scheduling. Unfortunately, the initial installation was not done correctly. When pictures of the issue were emailed, they came out the next day, identified the installation errors, and fixed it within 24 hours.

They were AWESOME! We had a problem with defective flooring. (We ordered flooring from another company.) Roger and Landan Krumlauf were honest with us and made us aware that the flooring was not made correctly. We had to reorder flooring and they were very flexible to work us into their schedule when the replacement hardwood arrived. They demo'd our existing flooring/ carpeting in one day and then layed our new hardwood in two days! They showed up when they said they were coming, they were neat, conscientious, considerate, and did a wonderful job laying our new hardwood! I would definitely recommend them to others! We could not have been any happier with their work and professionalism!

Roger and Landan did a wonderful job. They were here on time and worked all day. Any little issues that came up they fixed.

They were here when they said they would be. It took 2 days as stated. They cleaned up all the messes they made. The floors look great! Definitely would hire them again.

Owner said the transition of new flooring would be even with ceramic tile. Turned out that transition strips where a tripping hasard. Removed strips and put in some caulking that now traps dirt and shows how the flooring does not meet tile. Does not look professional. I did not get credit for paying for transition strips that I did not get to keep and when I gave the final check to owner he said he needed me to rewrite it and make it out to him personally he was having issues with his business account???? The son did offer to come out and try to fix it, but at that point the damage was done and choose not to have the floor messed up further.

Landon and Roger are a father/son team and were fantastic to work with. Every appointment and communication occurred exactly when they said they would. They were extremely easy to work with and kept me informed throughout the entire process. The work was completed on time and of the highest quality. They had to match new flooring with existing 9 year old floors and it looks fantastic. They provided itemized quotes and were willing to adjust pricing if I was willing to do some of the prep work. I could not be happier with the outcome or the service I received from Krumlauf Floors!

Everything was exactly the way they promised from the price to the exact amount of time for the job. The work performed was excellent and matched the descriptions in the other reviews. They walked through the project with us when complete to make sure we were satisfied. They left the job site very clean each night. There were no issues at all. Excellent work.

The whole experience went very well. We were impressed from the start. Landon returned our call and set up a visit in 1 day to do a measurement and discuss products. They provided an estimate quickly. They were flexible with setting the job up. The tear out and installation went fine. The job site was clean after both days. We had no surprises. They did what they said they were going to do.

Great-. They were actually earlier than scheduled, clean, efficient, and I was particularly impressed that Mr. Krumlauf (it's a father - son team) removed carpeting from another area of the house, cut it and re-installed it in a doorway and he replaced an area of rotted wood subflooring adjacent to an existing deck with new material (saving me the time and effort of trying to do it myself or contracting it separately), all without extra charge or hassle, and still completed the job on time. They seemed as pleased as I was with the results of the installation. I had never had this type of work done, so cannot judge the cost aspect except to say their highly detailed bid was lower than two others and they included the extra work at no cost. I would hire them again without hesitation.

Amazing! The area was our main living area which meant it was important that it was usable during the process. The mess was cleaned up before we were home from work each day and they finished in under 3 days. The details around our fireplace and stairs in amazing (more than we were expecting). I would not hesitate to hire again.

Turns out the foyer tile we ordered was not the same as the sample we chose in the design center. I was able to find exactly what we were looking for at Floor & Decor and they handled returning the other tile and got my Visa credited for the purchase amount. I felt that was outstanding customer service for something that was out of thier control!

Roger and Landen Krumlauf are a father and son team. They were extremely patient and accommodated all of my requests. It took three trips to my home before I made a decision. Roger and Landen did the entire process, measurements, estimates, helping me select the best flooring for my needs, removal, and installation. We settled on a price that was below the big box’s and flooring specialty store’s, and the flooring I selected was of better quality. They moved my large furniture items and appliances, including disconnecting the water supply lines to the refrigerator and the dishwasher. Landen kept me informed of even the slightest change in plans, by texting and/or calling. As with most major projects, there were a couple of glitches. The flooring didn't arrive on time, delaying the project by a few days, and the discovery that some planks had a defect we didn't identify until after they were installed. The Krumlaufs called US Floors to report the defect at 9 am and the rep was here at 1 pm the same day. He acknowledged the problem, agreed to compensate them for the work they'd done and replace the product. All of the flooring (half of the area) had to be removed. However, that turned out in my favor because it allowed me to make a change. I received a $100 discount for the inconvenience. The entire project which included removal of all the old flooring, installation of a cork underlayment (my special request), and COREtec luxury vinyl plank flooring took 3 days (includes removal of defective product). I am so glad I chose the Krumlaufs. They were polite, respectful, trustworthy (I felt comfortable leaving them in my home and giving them a key), and knowledgeable craftsmen. I am extremely pleased with my new 100% waterproof low maintenance floors. Now, my aging dog's accidents can be easily cleaned up.

Roger and his son Landon were true professionals. They came to our home and after talking and listening to us were able to make an excellent recommendation for flooring. They gave us a no pressure estimate. The installation went perfectly. Roger and Landon are an amazing team. They work efficiently and don't feel the job is completed until they have cleaned up and left the floor immaculate. My husband and I will definitely use them again for any flooring needs. We don't hesitate to give them the highest recommendation.
