The work that was supposed to take a few days took two weeks because he was working on project in between. He over-charged me ($484 for shoe molding, sub-floor, then $600 for under layment and materials which I had already paid for). He was going to quit part way through and told my other contractor he was leaving because the bamboo flooring was difficult to work with but called me and said he would remain on the job if I paid an additional $300. He claimed I did not tell him there were three different widths. The very last day he was here, he stole some of the hardwood flooring that he removed from my kitchen (put it in his truck without telling me). I called the sheriff's office and they asked if I would like to file a complaint to retrieve the wood they took. In the meantime, I texted Scott and asked him why he stole my wood. I was afraid to file a complaint because he yelled and screamed at me about the floor being different widths and being hard to install. I felt threatened and thought he might throw away the wood regardless because I told him I called the sheriff. He left off a strip of wood which was replaced by a metal strip so the job was not completed as we agreed to have it done.

If it had not been for Scott Kimberling's knowledge and experience I would never had known we had hardwood floors underneath old carpeting in my wife's childhood home we wanted to update and sell. Scott was extremely busy, but he and his staff did both a beautiful and timely job at a very reasonable price.

Great. Floors turned out beautiful. Workers were very responsive, stayed on schedule, and after sandiing when they were applying finishes and work visits were shorter, they kept us updated on when they would be there.

We had originally planned to have our original hardwood resurfaced. Scott showed us that the builder had used a very thin hardwood which made our original plan of resurfacing not really feasible (from a quality point of view). So, we changed plans and had Scott tear up the old floor, install and stain new hardwood floors. The new floors are beautiful and will be a plus when we eventually sell our home. Scott and his team have very high standards. The team made sure everything was perfect. Our kitchen floor tear-out did turn out to be a challenge as did laying new flooring in an oddly shaped kitchen. Scott landed up spending more timed than he had originally allotted, but he never raised the cost of the contract. He is hardworking and honest! We hope to use Scott for future projects.

In addition to the quality work, Scott was easy to work with. He communicated frequently and was willing to be flexible with his schedule to accommodate other work being done in the house. Highly recommend him!

The job would be more then the Big Deal could cover.

Scott was very professional, quick and did great work even with our dogs bugging him he worked very efficiently. I would definitely use him again.

He is meticulous and does beautiful work. I have had no leaks in the garage since he replaced the roof. He does well crafted work and also customer oriented. He is also a good detective figuring out the problem and repairing any problems.

Initially, he was timely and very helpful, but later I started feeling a little pressured by him. He didn't have any paperwork with him when he came for the estimate, seemed scattered, and had to go to a local office supply store to get forms that needed to be filled out. Being so unprepared sealed their fate, and I decided to use another company. He continued to try to call me even after I didn't return several calls.

They did a very nice job. They finished the job quicker than I thought and the materials they used didn t cause an aroma in the house which I appreciated.

They did an excellent job. I would give them A's in all the categories. They were on time. I would use them again in the future and recommend them to others.

The work they did was good, the only issue I had was they weren't on time always, but they called me to tell me they were gonna be late. They are professional, I have recommended them to people.

I called them and they came right away and wanted to do it that weekend. But then one of the men was having back problems. The floor looks beautiful, but one spot on the floor looks different. I called him and he never came back.

We had a bad feeling about the job from the start. Scott seemed annoyed when we asked questions and frustrated about having to explain what he was going to do and how. He seemed less than straightforward, especially about what the job would cost. When we started clarifying the work to be done, it turned out that the true price was about $300 more than he had originally said. We considered having him also refinish the hardwood floors in three rooms, but after discussing it with him his quote almost doubled. I have to honestly say that Scott's sub-contractor did a very good job installing the oak flooring. The finishing job is also not bad, with a few missed spots and problems. When it came time to pay, Scott decided we owed more than the invoice stated. After I refused to pay more than the invoice stated, Scott yelled at me in my front yard, apparently thinking he would intimidate me into paying more. We regret hiring this company and should have gone with someone worth what we paid.

Did a great job. He was a perfectionist. He was very responsive and professional. Meticulous. Conscientious.

We chose them because they are non-toxic. They were dependable and on time. Their price was comparable to others.

Mr. Kimberling worked very hard, and he did a great job with our floors. His estimate was less then the big name company, and he was much more available, and flexible then they were. Our floors are beautiful. They looked so good we had to paint all the walls.

Quick response to our request for an estimate and to get the work scheduled and begun. After the work started, there were problems, not with the quality of work, but with the difficulties communicating with Scott and the scheduling of the phases of the job. The work day usually began late morning, often an hour or more later than was committed to. We're pleased that the product is very good, but we expect good work and a good working relationship with our contractors.

He was just terrific. Clean, very prompt and accommodating. They use a dustless system.

This was a particularly difficult job. It was floor laminate and you could only go down a certain depth. Some other companies that I called didn't even want to do it. I was so pleased to find someone willing to try it.

He did a great job on the floors. He was having a couple of bad days personally and it did effect his getting the work done as quickly as he and we desired.

Scott was very prompt in responding to my phone call. He did an over-the-phone estimate and offered to start the job immediately (he was in the ball park from the other estimate I received from another contractor). Once he arrived on the job, we found several additional items that needed to be corrected/repaired which took my estimate from approximately $500 to $1400. All of the additional work that we found was needed to do a complete job and Scott had the skills to do the other work (repairing sub-flooring and threshold) so that I did not have to call in another contractor. While he was pricey (as he told me he was before the job started), he was extremely courteous, professional and went above and beyond just floor refinishing to get the job done.

Scott and Steve did a fabulous job! We had no idea our oak floors and staircase could look this good. They were able to removed dark stains and masked tack-strip holes. We were offered a wide range of stain colors. They put down stain samples on the floor, using all the colors we were considering, plus a blend of two colors Steve recommended and Steve's was the one we chose. He has a good eye. This team was easy to have in the house. They cleaned up after themselves every day and there was no dust. These guys are meticulous! Our quarter-round molding was never scratched. When we went out of town for a few days, leaving them alone in the house, they encountered a problem (Murphy's Oil Soap interfered with the new finish). They knew we had a painter scheduled the following week and they worked the weekend to fix the problem and add a fifth coat of polyurethane. The cost was an additional $300, which we felt was very reasonable. They went the extra mile and did a perfect job.
