Country Painting

The guy who came out to work was Joe. He was prompt and professional. We had some weather problems as it was raining. We have no complaints as it was a great job. I called him again for some touch up work on the exteriors doors. He gave me some tips and I was able to do it.

Very well - the work was delayed due to the rain, but once they started they got done in 5 days. Cleaned up and did a fab job - we have got several compliments on the wrok and new colors.

We worked with Owen Riley. He was personable, reliable and helpful. We got 4 estimates - 3 from Angie's list and one from a previous painting contractor. Owen's bid was the best so we went with his company since it had an excellent rating on Angie's list - as did the 2 other companies from Angie's list. Our previous painting contractor was not on Angie's, but we liked the work they had done in the past. Because outside painting is weather dependent, Owen kept us continually informed of the schedule. Once they started it took 4 days to complete (Owen quoted 3 days, but a couple days where shortened by the weather forecast). We were very happy it took only 4 days. They did 2 coats on all the exterior which included trim, down spouts concrete foundation, etc.). They did not do the window pane detailing as agreed to in the contract. Our house is a 2 and a half story built around 1900 or earlier - 2600 plus square feet. They did a great job of cleaning up each day and did minimal plant damage around the house - we have a lot of growth around each side, and they were extremely careful not to damage any plant life. The little that was done is not permanent, and we actually expected more damage than occurred. We would definitely use them again.

It took Country Painting a week longer than promised to start the job and they had to return to touch up a few places, which took an extra phone call. The cost was the lowest of the four Grade A Angie's list companies that I got quotes from and the quality of the work is excellent. I waited to submit the report to see how the recommended Sherwin/William's Duration paint would last on trim that was extremely weathered and it looks like the work was just finished. Even on areas where the wood was filled and previous paint peeled after one winter. The stucco, painted with S/W Luxen XP, still looks excellent and there has been no sign of mold which was just painted over. Would definitely use this company again.

They were very, very nice. They were very professional and as far as I know the price was reasonable. They provided an estimate and did not go over the estimate. The work was completed in one day.

This company was extremely efficient and did the work well. It was done in a timely manner. They were careful with the shrubs and lawn while they worked. The clean-up was good.

Joe returned my call for a quote w/in a couple of hours of leaving a message. We decided to go w/Country Painting and they scheduled us w/in a week. Due to season coming to an end they put 2 crews on our house to get it done in one day. Everyone was very professional and attentive. I would refer Country Painting to anyone looking for a painting company.

There were some problems developing and they came out to fix those problems. Their work was still under warranty.

The owner came to the house and quoted the job. We set up a date to paint and he completed the work in one day.

One of the owners came to do the quote. He was very nice, professional and on-time and provided the quote promptly. We had contacted Country Painting based on the positive Angie's List reviews. We ended up selecting another company whose quote was about 10% lower and that had equally positive reviews.

I got 4 competitive quotes from "A" rated painting contractors. Country Painting had the best quote by far. Mike Riley came out when he said he would, looked at the job,and left the quote. Mike explained that a couple of days before starting to paint, they would power wash the house. No deposit was required and no payment was due until they finished the job and I was satisfied. The painters cleaned up at the end of each day and put all equipment away. Upon completion, Mike and I walked around the house to discuss the job and to see if I had any concerns. Before Mike left, he talked about their warranty should a problem arise. Basically, I am very pleased. Country Painting did what they said they would do and there were no unpleasant surprises.

Went really well. Mike Riley was very accommodating and the painters on his crew were very attentive to detail, they even completed the work during the power outage.

We were very pleased with their service. They did a much better job on our deck than the person who painted it before. I have confidence that the deck will stand up well to weathering as well. Their prices were very reasonable, and their service is good. They power washed the deck one day and painted on two coats the next, and even left me the leftover paint. We were thinking of having some indoor painting done this fall, and they will certainly be one of the companies we will call for an estimate.

Joe was able to match the existing paint colors. He also left a lot of extra paint for touch up jobs. His crew was very, very neat. Overall, it was a very good experience.

Overall they did an okay job. They spilled some paint on the floor, but they cleaned up the mess. I really like the owner; he is very nice and professional. However, his crew is mediocre.

The end result is excellent-I am very happy with the quality of their workmanship. It is a GREAT paint job; the house looks awesome. Two coats was certainly worth it; they also repaired a few bad places in our woodwork, including complete replacement of one section. The deck looks great too; it's a nice job also. We had no problems coordinating with their leader-everything was smooth. They use Sherwin-Williams paint-good stuff-they matched our previous colors from a couple old paint cans from the last job. The only two gaffs in the whole job were some dead grass from where they laid a kiddie-swimming pool from our deck down onto the lawn, and the downspouts were off the house one night when it poured! These two things are really nothing. The quality of the job is excellent, and the people were excellent. I would definitely recommend Country Painting to any of my friends or family. I think we're going to engage them for some interior painting later this year. We had estimates from 3 different painters-Country Painting was the lowest.

They did a wonderful job. They worked with us in our schedule because we were going to be out of town. They were accommodating and did a quality job. I would highly recommend them.

Worked with Joe over a 2 week period. He came out to see the job and talk to me the next day. He promised an estimate in 1 to 2 days. After 10 days and several calls, I gave up. Never got the estimate. ($3,000)

Owen Riley provided estimate promptly. He also promised that he would be on the job during the whole process. Unfortunately, he was not. He and 2-man crew came as scheduled but Owen left. He came back around noon and then again around 5pm. The entire job was completed in 1 day (as it turns out, TOO FAST!). No oak trim was taped so I continue to find paint on trim. No prep work done at all. They just painted over minor nicks and imperfections. No caulking at baseboards. Not enough paint was used on large living room wall; can still see previous paint in spots. Was told that these spots would disappear after paint dried; spots still visible. They actually ran out of paint in kitchen and I had to insist that more paint be purchased for proper coverage. Owen re-rolled kitchen the next day and painted others area that had been missed altogether (under stair rails, between adjoining doors, etc.) I think that if more time was spent on job, there wouldn't have been issues.

They called me back the next day to set up an estimate. They spoke with me about the job and gave me a packet with all the services they offer along with a written estimate. They also provide numbers and names of people I could call for references. They gave me a great check list of the things they would do to my house. It was their busy season, but they first me into a schedule that worked best for the both of us. I had a family emergency and had to leave town. They offered to do the work while I was out of town, which was great!

Good job. The crew he used this time was not as good as his previous crew. They did leave a couple of small marks on the carpets, but on calling Joe, he said to send him the cleaning bill and he would fix it up. We have previously used Joe and he is a very good tradesman in my opinion.

Mike came out the same day I called for an estimated. I called him the next to let him we would like him to do the work. They power washed the house one day. They started the painting a couple days later. They completed the painting 2 days. Since we had to work, Mike was very good at calling me letting me know how the work was going. He always returned my calls promptly. We are very pleased with this company.

Country Painting was a pleasure to work with and their estimate beat the others that I got from Angie's List. I initially called them because a neighbor had success with them. They don't have many recommendations on Angie's List, but you will not be sorry if you hire them. Owen Riley was prompt in returning my calls and get me abreast of plans for the work. He had originally given me an estimate in the late fall and agreed to honor it first thing in the spring. Our contract stated that he would apply two coats of paint to the stucco. When the stucco sucked in the paint and looked irregular in color, he brought his crew back and gave it a third coat. My decision to hire them was supported by the folks at the local Sherwin Williams store when they told me that they had watched this company grow and were glad to see that their good service was continuing. Joe Riley was very responsive, quickly setting up an appointment for an estimate. His price was much less than the other bid I received. Once we agreed on the job, Joe communicated about changes in the schedule because of rain. His crew power washed the house and painted. He was very helpful on color selection, telling me that the color I initially chose would look blue, not gray as I wanted. I followed his suggestion, and am very happy with the result.

The Rileys were very pleasant and professional to work with, and their painters were courteous. We were very pleased with the paint job and hope to use them again in the future.
