Country Painting

I had read only 2 negative reviews about this company, so I wasn't too concerned. Unfortunately, one of those reviews was exactly what I experienced. Joe Riley came out to see my house to have the exterior trim painted. I really liked what he had to say and thought I would choose his company for the job. He told me he would send the estimate that night by email. That was a month ago and still never got that email even after leaving a voicemail asking if I was ever getting that estimate. I have since hired another company for the project.

We had serious water damage 20 years ago that was fixed and painted at the time. Fast forward and after many years the ceilings were pealing. In my opinion repairing and painting ceilings has to be the worst job in the world. Scraping, spackling, sanding and painting generates dust all over. We put off this job for years because of not wanting to go through the agony. Finally decided to do it and selected Mike and Country Painting based on their quote and reviews. As the project unfolded, I was amazed at the way the (polite, professional and friendly) crew put up plastic covers over everything and even isolated other areas from the potential mess. And, they cleaned up after every day so we could "live in" the entire house. The results met and even exceed our expectations. I would hire again in a heart beat.

If you want to have to paint your house again in 4 to 5 years, call these guys. They painted the exterior of my house and within 4 years the paint was pealing of the house in several areas and was extremely faded. My neighbor 4 houses down used the same Sherwin-Williams paint and color and their house looks great after 7 years. Country Painting thinned the paint too much which made it easier to spray, but also made it fade prematurely. All of the places they touched up with a brush or roller are not faded because it wasn't thinned for their spray guns. I called Joe and explained the problems. He came out to see for himself and said it was my hardy board that was pealing, not the paint. I pointed out why that wasn't the case and he said the best he could do was give me a discounted rate to repaint the house with a single coat instead of the double coat of paint I paid for the first time. He handed me the quote and left. I pulled out my original quote for two coats of paint and it was exactly the same as the new quote he gave me for a single coat of paint. When I called him about it he said it was due to inflation because prices have gone up. It's difficult for me to believe that he doubled his prices over a 4 1/2 year period. He later text me that he would take $875 off the quoted price. I didn't call him back because first it was just quality of work which could have been the individual painters that painted my house, but now I just don't trust that Joe was being honest, beside the fact that he didn't stand by the quality of his company's work. I gave them D instead of an F because the trim that they painted still looks great. Unfortunately, the rest of the house looks bad and I have to pay another contractor to paint again.

Great work again by this family-owned business. They're prompt, hard-working, and honest. They filled holes, primed, and painted two large bedrooms in less than a couple days. Very well done, and the price is right.

The painting company was very reliable. We arranged four months ahead to have our whole upstairs painted: turn stained woodwork white, paint all walls and ceilings. We wanted them to work during a specific time period while we were away on vacation. They fulfilled that request and finished on time so that flooring people could come in the following week to install new wood flooring! Their quality of work was excellent. They made sure no windows stuck closed with dried paint. Detail work was well done. A few problems getting door hardware back on correctly, but they came back and fixed those issues.

Professional company from the initial estimate to completion of job. Excellent quality of work with attention to details. Will definitely hire this company again.

It went extremely well. They were prompt, efficient and very CLEAN! No drops on the rug or floors. They cleaned up every day and left the house spotless. They use Sherwin Williams paint (which I like). It took an extra day...but it was well worth it. They did not rush the job, they took their time. The estimate that they quoted me was the final price. They do not except payment until the job is done and you are satisfied. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that asks!

It worked great. I thought they were fair. Their quality was excellent. They were great. Their professionalism was wonderful.

Joe Riley scheduled an appointment pretty quickly and came just a little after the appointed time, but called saying he'd be late. That was on Sept 8. Joe was going to send an email estimate. Nothing. I called twice and left voice messages to ask what happened. Nothing. I left a message through Angie's list. Nothing. We have just moved here and are anxious to get the much-needed painting done so we can settle in. I don't know what gives.

Seamless and professional. Mike Riley and team arrived at my home at 9:00 as he promised. He introduced me to his lead painter Alex and the team went about prepping my home for paint. The team was very organized and polite as they went about painting my home. Very pleased with the finished product. Thank you Mike and Alex for a job well done.

It was a pleasure working with Joe and his crew! Joe started out on-time for his estimate visit, and the process went smoothly from there. Two-man crew always showed up when they said they would, worked hard and smart, and were respectful of our house and landscaping. Our house is fairly tall and has a lot of details that make it challenging, and they were able to deal with all of them without complaint! While the guys made quite a mess each day, they always cleaned it up each night! At the end of the job, they carefully put everything back in place and did touch-up on minor drips...very good attention to detail! Only experience with this company, but based on this...highly recommended!

Joe Riley and his painting crew were very professional. They power washed entire exterior first. Then they painted two coats on all surfaces. When the job was complete, Joe walked around the entire house with us to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction. When we noticed a couple of areas that needed a touch up, Joe scheduled a painter to come back the next day.

I needed to have the valleys on our roof painted. They were starting to rust and needed a coat of an oil-based paint. Called Country Painting and Joe Riley called back a day later. We scheduled a visit to the house and he gave us a quote on the work. All of the metal on the roof would be painted, this would include the valleys, as well as roof vents, chimney trim, etc. Said they were out a couple of weeks because of all of the rain. After a couple of weeks, he called to say they would be out in a day or two. They had previously gave us a paint chip set to pick a color. They came out and painted everything with the correct color and finished in half a day. The work looks great.

am The price was great and the contract they delivered to us spelled out every detail of what they would perform. They were on time, clean and courteous. Owen Riley did a walk through at the end and we found made a "punch list". His crew came out promptly and completed all work. I will definitely use them again in the future. I am just as concerned with the quality of the work as I am with the price, and Country Painting aced on both fronts!

Country painting painted two kids' bedrooms for $600. They did a very nice job. Polite, fast, and neat. We had originally wanted a stripe painted on the wall of one room, but that would've significantly increased the costs, since the crew would've had to return for a second day (after the walls dried). We cut that part of the scope and thought the price was very reasonable. Would highly recommend.

Thy did a fabulous job. Would recommend them to anyone. The paint jobs are not contracted but done by employees of the company. They were fast, professional, and did a great job.

Our initial estimate and quote from Joe (Riley) was fantastic. Not only was he polite and courteous but also on time (a huge plus for us). We decided to use his company based not only the reviews but also his professionalism. We had (semi) specific ideas about where we wanted to go and what we wanted to have done but Joe was able to guide us on the finer points and also make some recommendations as to whether or not a decision would be best. Ont he day of the service I received a phone call letting us know they were starting as my wife and I had to be at work. By the end of the first day, I received a text stating they were done with the exterior power washing and done with the interior and they would start the next day at 8:00 am. I received a text at 7:59 stating the crew was there and they would finish that day. It took my wife and I 3 weeks to paint the rooms upstairs (with taping and multiple coats) so I was pleasantly surprised that the crew was that fast. After the work was completed, I went to the house to see how the work went. While there, I noticed a couple problem areas and called Joe. He was very understanding and stated that he would have someone come out to take care of them (total of 4 spots) the next day. I went to the house the following day (if you're keeping track, this is the day after the gentleman came to fix the problem areas (Thursday) and, as promised, everything was taken care of. In the end, the following was included in the work completed: - Repairing/Replacing 1x6 boards (x2) - Sanding and Power Washing the exterior as prep - Caulk the exterior - Paint (obviously) exterior and interior - Sand and re-Spackle any problem areas on the interior - Caulk what needed to be on the interior Overall my wife and I were more than pleased with the level of service, professionalism, punctuality and willingness to correct any errors made. I would definitely recommend him to any other person looking or needing paint.

Mike Riley estimated both jobs. Their estimating method was the most concise and understandable of any received. He checked boxes for services to be rendered and gave further explanation in writing as needed. Also, it was the only estimate we received that we felt the discount for being an Angie's list member was included in the final price. Price for work performed was very fair. We wanted Sherwin Williams Duration flat paint on the exterior. Mike suggested the satin and it was a great suggestion as the light sheen looks terrific/rich. Most painters wanted to use a less expensive paint and one refused anything but SW super paint as they received a better discount. At the price a person pays for painting services today we wanted to use the best paint and were happy when we did not have to explain/argue such a basic point with Mike. Country Painting started exactly when they promised. Mike managed the job and was there regularly to see that everything went well. The painters, especially Lacho, were meticulous on the trim and windows. All were extremely polite and attentive if we had a question. Once we called Mike about something we wanted done, he arrived shortly, talked to the crew and it was completed that day. Incredible communication and respect among these workers. We have an extremely steep roof line which is a challenge for any painter. They painted it with ease and perfection. They painted all sides of the gutters, etc., used an extra coat on the stucco exterior, cleaned the yard all without any request from us. When completed we walked around the house several times and could not find anything to complain about. I think it was a first for us. We then hired them in the winter to do interior painting and our ceilings. Different crew but same excellence in quality of work. Super high walls in entrance, semi-gloss trim on pillars and grease spots in kitchen are a few areas tackled. Owen did a great job in my kitchen. Lastly, I hired Country Painting upon reading recommendations from Angie's list, a very fair price, and my conversation with Mike Riley. After reading the reviews I expected there might be a wait, so I called early and requested a specific time frame, not a date and we worked together to get everything we wanted. This is a family run business that has a great reputation for quality work and it is well deserved!.

Crew started with chosen shade of green, and after 1st day, we decided that shade of green was not what we expected when it was applied. We quickly selected another shade from many samples (anyone want a quart of springish green?) and resumed the painting. Crew was hard working, and finished the work in about three more days, including removal, painting, and restoring gutters. The project manager charged only about $200 more than the quote for the halt of work and repainting the large areas that had been painted with what we decided was a wrong choice of color. All in all, we were quite satisfied with the work that was done. We've had a siding board lose a knot-hole after the painting which needs to be replaced, but we went with Country Painting vs. another contractor who pushed us to have about $6000+ worth of carpentry work prior to the $3300 paint job, while the two other bids we had included patching and filling the siding as needed. We could have spent more on replacing some of the wood siding or trim, but with the possibility we may replace the siding entirely, it didn't seem cost effective to put a lot into repairing it. The paint job Country Painting did ended up looking very good, and will last until we can make up our minds to either replace our siding, or spend more on getting it fully restored. I didn't mention it to the contractor, but when the crew used my outside faucet and hose to wash their equipment, they left the faucet on, the hose blew out at a weak spot, and I had water spraying for a while until I found it. Hopefully, if the contractor sees this review, they can tell their crew to leave the outside faucets off when done with them.

One of the two owners came and evaluated and gave us an estimate. His estimate was not the most expensive nor the cheapest. Based on Angie's list reviews we decided to go with their service. They power washed the house thoroughly, then scraped any loose paint and caulking around the windows and framing. They caulked everywhere it was needed. They sprayed and brushed as required until the job was completed. We had a framed grape arbor and a lot of planting around the house. It was a miracle how they got paint on some of these areas without being messy or damaging anything. The job was very thorough, very neat , and well painted. The back of the garage is a large area going up two stories by our patio. It is all cedar siding and I marvel how it looks just painted even today. Great work, great job

Joe came out and met with me to survey the exterior of our home. We discussed what needed painting vs. what was in good shape and didn't need painting. Country Painting had painted our home 5 years ago, and most of the white trim was still in great shape. That is a testament to the quality of the work that they do. Joe researched the best new products to use for our particular application and provided me with sample booklets to choose from. Joe followed up with me a month later to see if I wanted to have them proceed with the painting still this year. I told him that we decided to wait until Spring.

They worked in a timely and professional manner. They gave us good, honest advice. The workers were trustworthy and competent.
