They are very responsive and very professional. Their name is appropriate. They are easy to work with. Their price was good.

We had a bees nest in a beam on the front porch near the front door. I called first thing in the morning and Jay sent someone out within hours. I was told what the crew was going to do and what to expect when the treatment was completed. The nest was treated and the bees were gone in no time. I would highly recommend 1st Response.

We have had a great experience with 1st Response from our first conversation with Emmy through the work performed by both technicians. They are all very knowledgable and thorough. We would definetly recommend them and hire them again for insect issues.

Everything went great! Jay explained everything thoroughly, gave us an estimate and they came back the next day to do the treatment. We no longer have spiders and insects around our home, especially at night. We will definitely use them again in the future when the need arises.

I was very pleased with the customer service 1st Response Pest Management provided. They had a technician at my house within an hour of my call about a large hornet's nest in a tree in my yard. I really appreciated the quick response because neighborhood children walk by the tree and the hornets were quite aggressive. He remained at my house to deal with hornets returning to the nest after he destroyed it. He answered all my questions, and gave me the Angie's List discount. I hope I do not have the need for a pest management company again anytime soon, but if I do, I will call 1st Response.

Saw evidence of concrete and carpenter ants though no ants. The owner came out and confirmed what I thought and I arranged for a treatment to be sure. He came out on time, sprayed the foundation inside and out. The visit was quick and efficient.

Jay responded to my mother for an evaluation of and solution to her millipede problem within one business day of her request. He was courteous, professional and very knowledgeable. Jay explained the cause of the problem and initiated a course of treatment and management the same day. She has been "bug free" since. Jay and his company have her full endorsement.

Jay and his associated came-out the next day to treat the garage, house, and shed for termites. He was very obliging. He also treated 2 ant hills and trimmed a few bushes as well. He did a very professional job in all regards. The contract that we have was for this service, as well as treatments in 1 year, 3 years, and 5 years from now. The owner was very educated and knowledgeable about the best product to use for the treatments. He answered all of our questions without hesitation. Overall, we were just very impressed.

So far we are very impressed. They have excellent grades on Angie's List.

We are very happy with their service and would use them again should the need arise. We had seen carpenter ants inside in our family room and bed room and outside on our deck. We called 1st Response and were treated very politely and professionally their receptionist and scheduler. The service men visited us within a few days, analyzed our situation, and presented options for treatment. They then returned a few days later to give our home its first treatment which is designed to kill the ants in their nests. We can see the dead ants on our deck and have not seen any inside since the base treatment. They will give us two more treatments before winter to prevent additional insects from coming into our house.

Jay responded quickly to my email for an estimate. He came out the same week to take a look at the property. He went over the benefits of the system they used and showed me where he would be installing the product. He answered all of my questions about when we should install the system based on the grading work we were considering. After confirming that we wanted to use Jay, he was able to be onsite the very next week to install the system. He performed the work with a coworker. They were very considerate of the house and the property. They worked efficiently and were done in several hours. I was happy with the work and very happy with the price. I would recommend Jay and 1st Response to anyone in the area looking for longterm termite protection.

We had an ant problem. All the stuff I tried from the HW store did nothing. 1st response came out immediatly and treated the yard. The ants were gone the next day. They are still gone 2 months later. Excellant job!

They are thorough, polite, professional, punctual, responsive, helpful and take care of any pest problems. You do not have to have a contract to use them for pest control. They took care of a small carpenter ant issue we had and offered to follow up free of charge if the ants (or other insects) returned in the near future. They are very accommodating from start to finish. I would recommend 1ST Response to other Angie's List members!

We had seen carpenter ants on the first floor of our house on a daily basis, and I was worried that they might be nesting somewhere in the frame. Jay explained to me that since we were seeing only a few each day, they were probably coming in from outside. We have not seen another ant inside since he sprayed around the perimeter of the house. I asked him also to inspect for termites. I appreciated the fact that he didn't just say, "Sure," but instead explained that the fact that our basement is finished meant that there were some limitations to what he could inspect. He inspected what he could get to very carefully, even moving some wood stacked outside that he thought was too close to the house. He also was very helpful in explaining some options (and their limitations) for what could be done about the lady beetle infestation we have been seeing every autumn. They were courteous in scheduling the appointment to fit my schedule, and he called me that morning because he was going to be a teeny bit late. Unless we move in the near future, I am sure I will call 1st Response again.

Did as they said and came back when they said they would to complete work. Could not complete during first visit due to rain on that day and forecast called for rain for the next several day.

Its been two weeks since the treatment and we have not seen one ant inside and also a major reduction of insects around the perimeter of the house. We couldn't be more pleased. Proactively, they will be back in July for a Summer treatment.

It was a great experience from the first phone call on. Emmy is the perfect front end person...very knowledgeable, professional and friendly, answered all my questions, explained the different programs, discounts available, etc. We set up a time that was convenient for my schedule (the scheduling "window" was only an hour, much better than having to block off 3 or 4 hours.) and they were able to come out about 3 days from the initial phone call. Jay (owner) & Chris (technician) arrived right on time. Jay did a thorough inspection while Chris prepared the treatment. Since bugs were already in the house, they were going to spray the inside as well as the outside. The inside treatment was in the unfinished part of the basement, and along the baseboards in the finished basement section (the baseboards that were against the exterior walls.) Chris worked quickly and efficiently and work was complete in about 20 minutes. Due to rainy weather, they could not spray outside. They did come back 2 days later to complete the job. Our house was sprayed from the roof line down to the foundation and out several feet! Impressive! There is no way any bugs are going to get inside this house! Hooray! The outside spraying took about 20-30 minutes.

I discovered ants in my den at home. I called 1st Response Pest Management based on their Angie's List reviews, and we set up an appointment for 4 days later. They arrived on time and were very polite and professional. I explained the problem, though the ants had disappeared by that time, and they sprayed the exterior of the house to prevent additional ants entering, and they also placed ant poison under the baseboards in my den to ensure that any ants in the walls would be killed. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I would happily call them again. They assured me that if I saw any additional ants in the next few weeks, they would be happy to come out at no additional charge and spray again. I didn't see any ants after their visit.

I thought they did a great job. The owner, Jay Neff and his wife run the company really nicely. They were great to work with in scheduling the appointment and everything. We unfortunately left our dog outside on the originally scheduled date so they couldn't do the job. They said that was no problem and came out and did the job a different day. They are a great great company to work with . They are just great people

Set baited boxes at possible home entry points. Came back in 10 days to inspect. Examined exterior of home and found likely entry point. Sealed entry point.

Called Tuesday and had an appointment for Wednesday morning between 9-10am. Showed up just before 10am and did a brief inspection. Determined that only the outside of the house needed to be treated. Took about 20 minutes. The treatment has a 60 day warranty in the event the one treatment doesn't do the trick.

Service was efficient, professional and courteous from start to finish. On the first visit they came out and set childproof traps throughout the home, fully explaining what they were doing along the way. On the second visit they checked and rebaited the traps and checked for the presence of rodents. They pointed out an entry point in the garage where there was a large gap between the bottom of the garage door and the ground. They ordered a larger bumper and came out and installed it. When the part turned out not to completely close the gap, they made several visits until the part fit just right. Jay showed integrity in giving us a break on the installation fee to offset the inconvenience of the multiple visits. 1st Response completely eliminated the mice, and we would definitely recommend them and use them again.

From my first contact to when the job was completed I experienced outstanding service from this company. During my initial call to schedule a visit, the individual throughly explained what I could expect in regards to the type of treatment and how it would be applied. The day of the treatment I received a call from the technician earlier in the day indicating they were ahead of schedule and asked if was convenient for them to come over at an earlier time. This work out well with my schedule. Thye arrived promptly at the new designated time. They were professional - even covered their shoes when they entered the house. I was informed of what how they were going to treat the situation and how the treatments were intended to work. The men were professional and curtious. I felt the cost for the service was extremely reasonable. I was informed to contact them back in 7 to 10 days if we were still experiencing a problem and they would return to apply another treatment.

Jay (the owner) showed up on time and brought along a trainee. This worked out well for me as he explained everything to us both in great detail. He reiterated the process that was previously explained and took the time to answer all of my questions. He's performing a follow-up next week- hopefully he can tell me the problem is resolved completely! I would definitely hire them again and am considering purchading a yearly maintenance servicing based on their performance!

Happy with the service overall, will use them again if needed.
