1st Response Pest Management

I got an email from Angie’s List. They were offering a coupon for half price. The guy was wonderful, but because we thought it was necessary we contracted him to do it for the rest of the year every 3 or 4 months. He was wonderful, courteous, professional, and friendly. We can’t say enough about how nice the guy was, and he answered all of our questions. He explained everything, and if we had any questions we had that all settled before he did anything. He explained what he was going to do, where he was going to do it, and he checked the house and everything. He was just excellent and nice. We highly recommend him. There was no pressure on his part whatsoever. For what he offered us, if we wanted to he said they have a program where they will come back like in the summer and then in the fall like every 90 days or something and re spray just to make sure, so we agreed to that. He was there within 2 days after we called him. He is not from our particular neighborhood here. He came exactly on time. We called him on Monday, and he called us back on Monday night. He called us back on Tuesday, and he was here on Thursday. We would absolutely use him again in the future.

They are very responsive to their customer’s needs, and always easy to reach. I think their service is personable and reliable. We really saw a huge difference with our pest issues within a few weeks of utilizing their service. We dealt with carpenter ants frequently before hiring 1st Response, and we longer have this problem. I would absolutely recommend this company to others.

Overall the srvice was excellent and the service man was a real gentleman. I will use this service again. and I hihly recommend them. If anything changes I wii let you know. The price was right and I was given a choice of the service I wanted

I found them on Angie's List. They were one of the top rated companies on there. Initially when I called them, they told me it would take a week. told them my wife was allergic to bees. They called me right back and told me that they could get us in the next day. They have come out for retreatment per their contract. Did not have to call them to set the follow-ups. VERY pleased with this company.

He does a great job. I like that he is very responsive, and doesn't hesitate to come out in between appointments if necessary.

The associate arrived on time and with a smile. He walked the property and explained the situation. He assured me as I was "WILD" that something wild was building a condo in MY yard. He fully explained the plan and performed the Service in less than 45 minutes. Now my pets are safe and the varmit is NOT ! I would use them again. We have yet to see the varmit pushing up daisies, but the associate promised to return to check the trap and no new holes are to be found.

Just after closing on my house I discovered that it had roaches. 1st Response was rated well on Angies list so I called them. They were very prompt and answered all of my questions. They sprayed and baited twice. I saw a roach with in their 2 month guarantee and they came out for another treatment. I did not see any roaches all winter but did see one this month. I'm not sure if it is because their treatment wore off or not. One thing I did like about these guys was they did not force me into a contract. I called several of the national, big companies and they wanted me to sign up for a very expensive yearly contract.

They are very prompt and professional. They are very knowledgable. I trusted them in my home.

They did a great job. They checked to determine where the squirrel was gaining entry and set traps to catch it. They removed all of the squirrels (there was only one) and kept the traps in the area with fresh bait to ensure there were no more. They were thorough & effective. Also they made it easy for me to help out by watching the traps and alerting them when a squirrel was trapped; they made sure I could see the traps on my porch roof from my bedroom window. They were careful to ensure that the trap was checked frequently (usually by me, though they checked it too) to ensure that a squirrel would not remain for long in the humane style trap. (It would be inhumane and harmful to a squirrel to remain in the trap box without food or water for very long.)

They were able to get rid of the mice within 2weeks. They give a discount for being Angies list members.

This was a pretty extensive and challenging ant problem, but 1st Response kept at it until we finally got rid of them. The owner Jay came out to diagnose the problem; he was very knowledgeable and did a wonderful job of explaining options/their recommendations for treatment. Jay came back numerous times to recheck progress and apply more bait (it turned out we had several nests in various locations). Everyone we interacted with at this company -- from the office staff to the owner to the field staff -- was conscientious, friendly, and very professional.

I had no idea how the process would be handled, so I suppose I was a little startled to see all the drilling in the concrete areas. However, it has been over one year since the service and no termites.......so the treatment was effective and has a 5 year warranty. There was an issue regarding some damage to a shed, however, the repairs were made in less than a week to my complete satisfaction. I hope I never have to call them again, however, I would not hesitate if another insect problem occurs in the future.

They did a good job. They came out to exterminate the fleas and they treated the floors. I had to call them back because it was gone. So, they came right out and sprayed it again for me. They did a great job. They were very friendly and helpful. I would use them in the future.

Jay was punctual and professional with a friendly, pleasant smile on his face (I like that). He made suggestions for outside pest management which I agreed with. He stated that the extra outside bait boxes should be here in about a week. I am relieved to hear that they will be in my yard so quickly. 1st Response maintains will maintain my 3 outside boxes free of charge with my yearly maintenance package...and I definitely like that too. :)

The inspection of the house was less than thorough and took less than 20 minutes. Another company took more than twice this amount of time and was much more thorough. Even with the less than stellar inspection we were strongly considering this company for the work needed based on the type of treatment presented by the representative after fully vetting the different treaments for termites. Both companies stated that no live termites were found and it was not urgent to immediately start treatment. Later we received a bill for $133.11 for services performed (Inspection only) which is required for the "FREE" estimate. This will be contested but as far as I am concerned 1st Response Pest Management,LLC just lost any chance at all in getting this work.

I wanted to grade them all A's. I have recommended them to a lot of people that I know, so I really like them. They are very personable. I know all their names now. Their professionalism, quality of the work, and promptness are excellent. They come out several times. They come back to follow-up. They are extremely thorough. They did an evaluation of my home. They checked every single cabinet in my garage and went through my attic. They do a way more work than they charge. I have referred them to my parents too because my parents stay next door as I have mice issue. I have referred them to my parents and other people I know. I will use them again.

They are outstanding. They did a follow-up this fall. They are great.

They treated the affected area and sprayed the perimeter of the house. He told us that this treatment should also, take care of some small black ants, that had been coming into the kitchen. This eliminated the carpenter ants, but not the black ants. We called and another representative came out promptly, and put out some bait. This treatment eliminated the black ants within a couple days. We are completely satisfied!

From the wonderful service on the phone, when I made the appointment, to the excellent pest control job, I could not be happier! They even called me today to let me know that Jay would be able to come earlier then scheduled...happy, happy happy! Jay did a great job, very professional, wore a uniform and even "booties" so he would not get my floors dirty! He explained exactly what I needed, and he did not even attempt to sell me what I did not need! I really appreciated his honesty! The price was very reasonable too! Since I had field mice get into the basement last year, as well as a problem with spiders, I immediately signed up for the 4 seasons plan, and I don't make my first payment until April..WOW!! This is my first home, so I'm still learning what I need, Jay made choosing his company for all my pest control needs a "no brainer!". He even treated my little attention seeking dog with kindness, moved my mouse trap to where it needed to be, and he even brought in my packages from the porch! This a small family owned business, which I would much rather do business with, than a large corporation. The wonderful service that this company provides is so rare these days, it's so refreshing to find someone like Jay who goes the "extra mile". I asked Jay if he would be able to help my sister with the problems that she is having with pantry moths, and he said "That's an easy fix..no problem!" So I called my sister right after Jay left, to tell her to call him as soon as possible! You won't go wrong using 1st Response pest Services! I joined Angie's List to find great companies like this, and I am glad that I did! Thanks Jay!!

BED BUG FREE! First Response is a family owned business that got rid of my bed bugs right away. They give a 6 month warranty!!! If your bed bugs aren't gone with the regular bed bug treatment, they will come back and spray for FREE again. They are very thorough. I am disabled and couldn't lift some of the heavier paintings off the wall, and THEY did it for me with no complaint. They are the most kind, professional, and wonderful business owners I have ever met. No more bed bugs. I had tried everything previously.

We called 1st Response on a Friday because we had close to 70 mud dauber wasps that had come into our house through the fireplace. Jay was able to come out on Monday morning (10/10) and proposed sealing and bombing the chimney. We unsealed the chimney a week later and have not had a single wasp since then. I am primarily happy with this treatment because it worked. Beyond that, I was really impressed with Jay's thoroughness and efficiency. He took the time explain how he diagnosed the problem (included inspections of roof, chimney, and basement) and talked about what to do if there was a re-occurrence. He was friendly and patiently answered all of my questions. I never got the sense that he was eager to run off and get to his next call. Very courteous and professional service all around.

We haven’t seen any ants after they did the job. They did a very good job. The guy who came in was pretty nerdy. He was very polite and professional. He explained everything that he was doing. He seemed very enthusiastic about pest control. He seems quite expensive. I’ve never had pest control done before and so I don’t know what the charges are outside. We will use their services again in the future.

Everyone was great, right from the person who answered the phone. She was very nice and professional. Jay, the owner, came out to treat the bee nest that had bees all around our yard. He was on time, professional, and answered every question my wife had about the bees. Service is guaranteed for 30 days.

I spoke with Lisa on the phone and she was very pleasant, professional, knowledgeable and she got us booked for the next day. Jeff arrived on time (he was available early, however I wasn't able to meet him). He did a thorough indoor and outdoor inspection and carefully explained the procedure and the cost, which came in right where the estimate was. He treated the home with products that were safe around our small children and explained we might see additional ant activity for a few days while the bait took effect. We definitely did. He also said by day 10 they would be gone. They are. We are very pleased that everything went exactly as explained and expected with this company. Thank you for great service.

It was fine working with them. They do a good job and I can probably see the results. We haven’t seen any moving critters. They came on time, did their job and left. As far as I know the quality of their work was fine. This was a repeat visit. The critters come in the fall. We are going to have them come out in January too. We will use their services again in the future.
