1st Response Pest Management

1st response was easy to work with, communicated well, and were very professional. They provided a reminder call and were on time to our home. The entire service took approximately an hour. The gentlemen that performed the service was very thorough and precise. The price was good and we were told if we had any issues they would come at no cost to take care of them. Since our home was sprayed we've only seen a few stink bugs, which were no big deal. We haven't had any other issues!

They are very good to work with. They always call me in advance to arrange a time that is convenient for me and my work schedule. Their products are very effective and keep me from having to deal with issues with annoying bugs and pests.

My mother became ill around the last time 1st Response came to my home so I haven't had time to write this review until now, but I haven't forgotten the excellent service they provided. Yellow jackets were building a nest in a light fixture near our patio. I called 1st Response and they came out promptly to assess the situation on July 31st. Their polite and informative service man sprayed the fixture and surrounding area and told me to call them if I noticed the bees again. Less than a month later, I noticed more yellow jackets behind the fixture and called 1st Response again. This time they treated the area with a powder and told me to call back if the bees weren't gone within the next few days. A few days later, when I noticed the bees again, Jay, the owner, came out. He tried to remove the fixture, but the screws attaching it to the house were rusted. He said to call him in the next few days if the latest treatment didn't work. I think the yellow jackets are gone, but after the latest visit from 1st Response, I.ve been taking care of my mother and wasn;t home during the hot weather long enough to be completely certain. I am certain if I had called again during a reasonable time after Jay came out he would have continued to work on the problem until it was resolved. I really appreciate their prompt, professional and friendly service!

The exterminator arrived right on time and went to work. We wanted this done while the children were at school. He performed the work and was very neat and professional.

They are always professional and do a nice job. I will be using them in the future.

The treatment they provide does the job, we have had no problems since using them with ants and spiders in the house. We live in a wooded area and get a lot of insects and crawly things in and around the house, and 1st Response takes care of those.

Great experience. Very knowledgeable technician. He took his time and answered all my questions and was very thorough . I ended up signing a contract and saved money by being an Angie's list member. I paid in advance which got me an extra discount, very pleased with this!

Every treatment has been effortless on my part, you do not have to move furniture, items to be treated. The treatment is effective yet seemingly orderless. We have a dog and children, neither were effected by treatments. This is our second year, we originally called due to a brown recluse spider bite in our home, our son was bitten, terrible treatment and scare. The technician, Chris, was understanding and assuring that he could eliminate the spiders. Never questioned re-treatments, and all involved through the office and home treatments have been professional and effective. Would recommend to all my friends.

Service was great! Chris was able to squeeze me in the same day and was professional, friendly, worked quickly and was helpful in answering all my questions. It's been 2 weeks and no issues since then so we are pleased!

Really well, they were prompt to answer my calls, on time for the appointment (calling ahead), and did a good job. I haven't seen any house centipedes since they were here. I would use them again.

Several thousand bees were retrieved to be relocated. There were some bees that were left because it was impossible to collect them all. On 9/11 First Response returned and eliminated the remaining bees that were still hanging around where their home had been. I could then reinstall the trim board. No bees have returned. First Response was great and I appreciated that they wanted to save the bees like I did. The beekeepers were great ...helpful & very informative. I learned quite a bit about bees that day a well as ending up with some honey.

1st treatment didn't destroy all of the bees. When I called and reported this they scheduled another treatment promptly. No hassle at all! Very professional. Bees are gone-THANKS!

Work was as promised and all issues with bugs were resolved. The continuing contract price was more than I wanted to spend.

They were able to come in the very next day. They put a gel bait up under my cupboards that we could barely see and could not smell. The ants were literally gone within 24 hours and have not returned all summer! I could not be more thrilled. We also decided to purchase the entire house plan for about $500. They came out a few times over the summer and we have been 'pest' free since.

Overall they were prompt and courteous. The clover mites were taken care of and they were careful to avoid our Koi Pond. The ants did come back within 90 days but 1st Response had someone out within a couple of days to respray the affected areas. Considering what it would have cost me to do this job myself, besides the fact i wouldn't have access to the same sprays, I am happy with the price and service.

They were professional and courteous. They sprayed under deck;, roof and floor of deck, 8 feet out from house, total sides and front and back of vinyl on the house....the first time they sprayed out interior thoroughly...particularly the basement. We have not seen any spiders, etc., since they first sprayed a year ago inside the house and very few outside anywhere.

Showed up on time and applied the appropriate chemicals. Carpenter ants are fully controlled.

I have used 1st Response for several years now to control and stop a rodent problem. They come out quarterly and rebait the rodent stations outside and inside, as needed. They have been great in answering questions and coming up with a plan that seems to be working.

The overall experience was great. Chris was very knowledgeable about the products being used and the best approach to take with the different insects we had seen. He was conscientious of the fact we had small children and a dog in the home. This did not hinder obtaining the services we needed. Overall, I would recommend this company and already have my next appointment scheduled for this fall.

I have been a stay at home mom for 20+ years. Throughout this time I have had to call on many kinds of professionals for anything from appliance repair, carpet cleaning, lawn maintenance, painters, etc. There is always a bit of hesitation on my part as to whether or not I feel comfortable having a stranger enter my home while I am alone or with children. I have often asked my husband to work from home on these days. This is something you NEVER have to worry about with 1st. Response. The people who come to your home are professional, friendly, "clean-cut", respectful and prompt. I am always at ease being in my home with them. On top of that, the work that they do is great! They have come to search for raccoons, mice, squirrels, bees, spiders, and more in my home. They are careful to watch for your pets and use organic products that will not be a danger or threat to you or your animals that live with you. They will go the extra mile and are courteous and friendly. I would strongly recommend using them for your pest control needs. And the price is great and affordable.

THIS COMPANY IS AWESOME!! The entire staff is great! We have used them for years- mostly to management ants and spiders. They will come out to our house in between sprays if we see any bugs in our house! Most of all, they are ALWAYS on time, polite and never make me feel like I'm a crazy lady when I make multiple calls :)

Excellent. I was please with the company. From call to visit they were professional, knowledgeable, and did what they said they would do.

My experience with this company was very good - from the really nice woman I talked to in the office to set up the appointment, to the excellent technician who showed up promptly on the scheduled date. The technician took time to answer all of my questions and thoroughly checked the house and locations which were difficult to reach (two attics!). I understand the difficulties in dealing with a sporadic infestation of mice, so was realistic about treatment (expected I may still have problems), but since 1st Response came by there have been no more noises in the walls. I definitely will have them back in the winter to check the bait stations and will not hesitate to call them in the future for any other pest issues I may have around the house. Great company!

Very well. Activity lessened for a week and then a few yellowjackets decided to try and come back. They came out for a second application at no charge.
