1st Response Pest Management

I just moved into a new rental house and saw that we had mouse droppings. I called 1st Response to find out if they would be able to assist me in my mouse situation. Never having had this problem before, I was a little scared and unsure what to expect but was very pleased to have such a great conversation with the woman who answered the phone. She explained everything to me very thoroughly and made me feel comfortable about the problem. She assured me that my dog would not be harmed by the traps and she was able to get me an appointment for the very next day. When they came out to treat the house the next day, the gentleman taking care of our situation was very kind and friendly. He placed all of the traps down and took up everything that was left behind from the previous owners. It was the best way that a mouse situation could have gone. I even signed up for the full year long treatment program because I was so happy with their customer service.

First Response is excellent. They are not the cheapest pest management company in the area, but they are by far the best we've found. And if you go with their Silver Service--at least three treatments a year--they will come out anytime that you are not satisfied or see bugs. We've had them come back out once or twice, and they always treat within a day or two of when we call. We went with a cheaper company with very aggressive sales tactics for a short time, but we came back to First Response within a month or two. First Response always sends out people who inspire confidence that they are doing things right and know what they're doing; most or all of their employees have been with the company for years. I believe that the person who normally treats our house has been with the company for 17 years. They treat the perimeter of the house, as well as using a power stream to get as close to the rafters as they can. As a result, we see very few spiders (the main bug we saw after first moving in). We back up to woods, with a lot of green space around, but we now rarely if ever see bugs in our home or even in our garage. There's just a level of trust I have with First Response that I don't have with any other pest management company--and that's important when dealing with these sorts of chemicals. Highly recommended.

Everyone is always polite and professional both on the phone and at my home. I have had good results - got rid of the swarm of beatles, and to the extent I have called them back between treatments, they have addressed my concern with no extra charge.

They were really good. They were prompt. I felt as if they were very honest. They explained everything and were very thorough. They even sent us a thank you card. We will be using them again in the future.

They sprayed the area and the perimeter of the house. No more dead flying ants were found.

We weren't happy because they said they would block the entry of the mice and when they came back out, they said you can't make a house tight anyway and that the mice could always find a way to get in. They were very friendly and explained things well, and we hadn't had any problems since the last visit.

It went great. They came out quickly after my call. Provided an accurate estimate and completed the service succsefully. They also gave pointers and encouraged following up if there were any issues. I would use this company again. Great service!

The reason I waited so long to write this review was to make sure they were really all gone. It has been 8 months and we have had no issues, I even set up a crude trap and no bugs. The price was competitive, and I would use them again.

It went very well. We have used their services repeatedly in the past. We would use them again.

We opted for the quarterly service plan.

A professional organization from start to end. They called to arrange a time and promptly arrived as expected. They were clean and thorough in their inspection. I ordered the year round protection and have not once regretted my decision. I always get a call prior to their arrival and they leave a list of what was completed when finished. I highly recommend this team!

They did fine. I had bugs four months later and they came out for that. They charged me for it but they did a good job. When I called them, they responded within a few days.

Great people who are VERY responsive and customer-focused. They come 4 times a year to provide insect & rodent control and we haven't had a single problem. The office staff is great about calling before each quarterly service and answering any questions we have.

First Response was fantastic to use after I bought my first home and then found I had an ant and wasp problem. I highly recommend their maintenance program.

Great! Our tech was on time as usual, sprayed all the areas I asked for in addition to the standard ones, like our attached porch and garage. The spray is safe for pets and people after drying, usually an hour or so. We have an annual ant invasion and the ant bait they use is safe in cupboards with our dishes. We discovered 1st Response because of this problem three years ago and have been clients ever since. Jay, the techs and the office staff are all great to work with!

We were starting to see quite a few stink bugs inside our house and screen porch. I was not happy with my prior pest management service so I purchased the Big Deal offered by 1st Response. The guys came out and were very professional. They explained what they were doing and answered all of my questions. I decided to sign up for their Gold service plan. We have not had any more problems with stink bugs, silverfish, ants, and other pests that the other pest service could not totally prevent. Even the spiders have disappeared from the basement!

They first came out when I had a carpenter and problem that ate away the structure around my windows. They took care of those guys, and we now are on a spray contract where they come around three times a year. I had some tiny ants in the kitchen and they made a special trip out at no charge to take care of those because I was on contract. They are very professional, punctual, and get the job done.

I decided to purchase the service agreement. The treatment used for ants was bait. I can't remember all the details, but for several months I had regular visits to put out more ant bait. An outside treatment was also done. All the workers who came to my home were very professional, careful about what they were doing and very informative. They have excellent customer service. They texted me when it was time for my maintenance treatment. I am very happy to have found this company to do my exterminating. I would recommend them.

Always arrive on day of appointment. If there is a weather issue, will be out promptly as soon as weather is better. Nice that they don't spray when raining! Very courteous and professional. Would use again.
