For 3 years I had been treating the perimeter of my home and a lower level area with Diatomaceous Earth (DE). Convincing myself that whatever I was treating would disappear soon. I just did not want to believe that I had termites, and whatever it was I was going to rid my property off those little pests by myself! Then I woke up! If after 3 years one is still working on a pest problem, perhaps it's time to bite the bullet and call a Professional! However, I was still hesitant and a little anxious. With that in mind I got on Angie's List and looked at reviews. I finally decided to give 1ST. RESPONSE a call, and boy am I glad I did! From the initial call and conversation with Lisa, to the arrival of the owner Jay 2hrs later, my mind was completely put at ease. Jay took a look at the area I had been treating and confirmed what in the back of my mind I already knew. The pesky bugs are indeed termites. I knew they had to be gone! One of my biggest concerns was that I care for a colony of feral cats, and have 2 indoor cats. Treating with any chemical pesticide was out of the question. Jay proceeded to discuss with me the Sentricon System, a system of bated stations that is installed in the ground around the perimeter of the home and which immediately start working. I was immediately on board and was delighted when Jay was able to install them that day. There will also be 2 years of follow up associated with the installation! What a smooth transition. What a relief to know that the problem is out of my hands and now 1ST. RESPONSE is taking care of it! I would highly recommend this company!

The company came out several times to make sure problem was taken care of.

Great. They applied bait inside the house where the ants were coming in and within 2 days there were no ants.

They seem to know what they are talking about and didn't try to oversell. There were two technicians, one was in training. I didn't really shop around but they got good reviews on Angie's List.

They were prompt and thorough. They explained the process and our options.

They heated the house to around 220 degrees and sprayed around the baseboard and the bed frames. They were fantastic! They take their time to talk to you and answers every question you may have before the service. Then another man comes out to examine the house to determine how and where to spray for the bugs. They had to move all the furniture around so they could spray in hard to reach areas. After the service was complete, they cleaned up and put all the furniture back to where it was! And they put everything back too! Now the bugs are gone for good and I am very happy!

Outstanding service! I contacted 1st Response via their website on Thanksgiving Day. I did not expect any response until after the weekend. But Jay Neff, the owner, responded by email on Thanksgiving Day! He did the inspection on Monday and he installed the termite treatment system on Tuesday. I was extremely impressed and so relieved with his responsiveness. Having a termite problem is very stressful. Having outstanding customer service is important. 1st Response has really delivered!

This was a great experience from start to finish. The woman I spoke to on the phone to schedule the appointment was very friendly and informative and got me an appt right away. Chris showed up right on time and was friendly and very aware of keeping my dog safe during the process. Haven't seen a bug since! Will definitely use this company again!

Excellent Service! Chris Brandt came out and listened to my concerns, inspected my home, and gave me a yearly program estimate. He was polite and seemed extremely knowledgeable. There was no high-pressure sales pitch. Weeks later, I called the office to set up service and Lisa quickly accessed detailed notes about my home and what I needed done. Chris came out a few days later with my new technician, Chris Hanley. They worked together so Chris H. would know what I wanted. They worked efficiently and neatly. Yesterday, I saw evidence of mice and called Lisa. Chris H. was out this morning exactly when Lisa said he would be. I am very impressed with how he problem solved and handled the mice issue. Again, he left my home cleaner than when he arrived. He's polite, thorough, and personable. Thank you 1st Response for the exemplary service.

Not prepared the first time. Sprayed lower areas. Came back again with a tall ladder to reach the area at no additional charge. Very effective. Pleasant, polite, helpful.

Initially I thought I had termites. Tech did a thorough check and explained to me why what I saw was an ant colony. Phew. So I opted for the perimeter pest control, as I had always wanted to get that done, and I like the tech spending time answering my questions and responding to my concerns. He even took care to not spray anything harmful around my vegetable garden.

Great job of communicating. I had carpenter ants in my 25 year old deck and haven't seen an ant for the last two years since they have treated my property.

Jay and his team have been really great. We had the termite system installed Jan 16 and have been very happy with the results and the level of service we have received all year. I also paid for a year of pest control (spraying indoors and out) that I plan on renewing based on the results we've seen and the level of service we've received. I always get a heads up on a service call a couple of days in advance and a detailed summary of the work that was done after they leave. It's nice to know they are regularly checking up on the termite system to see what's going on and that there are no new issues. The indoor service calls have been great too and each technician that has been to the house has been super accommodating and answers all of my questions. They also addressed new issues I saw in the summer that weren't present in the winter when I signed the contract. The technician happily set traps in my attic for the stink bugs. Overall, I feel like I've gotten my money's worth and am very please with the level of service we've received the past 11 months.

I expressed my concerns about having a dog and also having some herb gardens on our deck. Chris made sure to spray low around the herb gardens, and he put my concerns in my account notes so the next tech will see them, too. Very thorough evaluating our basement and explaining the process for that day's treatment.

It couldn't have gone better... Chris was our Specialist who came to the door when he arrived. I explained that our house had just been painted and told him where our problem areas were. Chris was incredible!! He was knowledgeable, polite and had a wonderful attitude. And there wasn't a drop of spray on our newly painted house!!! Thank you Chris!!!

Gave a one hour arrival window. Were on time and all the yellow jackets were gone by the time they left and haven't returned.
