Description of Work: I purchased an Angies List Big Deal mainly because my 1 acre lot is very wooded and the spiders are terrible. The guys did a very good job treating both indoor and outdoor perimeters. I was basically "spiderless" spring and summer and even into the fall. I will definately buy another big deal again if they offer this again in the spring. It is kind of pricey without the big deal, and definately above my price range for the maintenance package they suggested I buy. If I could I would. Overall, great job and I definately reccommend them.

Description of Work: We first contacted 1st Response for a termite issue. They successfully treated that and we have since (for the last year) been using them on a regular basis for general bug control. We haven't had any issues with the service nor do we have any "little creepy crawlies" in the house any longer. I recommend them to anyone, they are an excellent company!

Description of Work: I heard noises in my wall and assumed I had some sort of animal in there. I called 1st Response and they had someone at my house in a few hours. He did a check of the outside of the house and the basement, and told me he thought it was probably mice. He said they could take care of the problem, but that I could also try just getting some bait from Lowes and save the cost of having it done professionally. He said if that didn't work, they could move to the next step. He saved me a couple hundred dollars, and didn't even charge for the service call. If I can't take care of it myself, I will certainly call them first, as they have proven themselves reliable and honest.

Description of Work: I was doing some outside work on my house and part of it was replacing a wooden board under my back French door. When it was removed, noticed little white THINGS in the wood. Called 1st Response and they came out two business days later. The president of the company (Jay) inspected the area and said it was termite damage. He then inspected my basement and said that there were NO visible signs of termite damage. This was a good thing as termite damage is NOT covered by homeowner’s insurance. This was something I was NOT aware of and glad we found the termites when we did. An appointment was scheduled and they were VERY prompt. They dug a small trench around the outside of my house and drilled holes through the cement areas that touched the house. Approximately 1000 gallons of chemical were used. They were here for about 3 1/2 hours and cleaned up the area where they worked. This is the second time that I have used this company and I would recommend them. Thank You Angie’s List!

Description of Work: I had some evidence of ants or termites and consulted Angie's. I chose 1st Response because they were highly rated and were close by to me. When I called, the lady in the office was very professional and asked several questions about my pest problem . They were willing to come out the next day, but I chose two days out. Jay Neff showed up on time and was very professional. He diagnosed my ant problem immediately, and took care of it. He told me it would take up to 10 days for the ants to be gone and to call him if they were not. I was very pleased wit my experience.

Description of Work: We had them come in a spray for the terminate swarmers we had recently in our home. They had to trench around our house and spray a chemical in around the foundation of the house. They did an excellent job with putting everything back as it was before they started. I had no mess to deal with after they left and that was extremely refreshing to have a company come in and do what they say they are going to do. I would highly recomment them to anyone. Description of Work: I bought a Big Deal from this company to get rid of millipedes and centipedes. Also had mice in basement. Jay came out and sprayed our home from top to bottom and laid mouse bait stations. We have had no problems since then. We did sign up for the Platinum Program so our home is sprayed once every season for $175 each time. This is well worth it for the peace of mind knowing that our home is critter-free! And if we see any pests at all in our home, someone will come out immediately to take care of it.
