It all went very smooth.He gave us the estimate and provided samples to show how the door was made. He answered all our questions. We ordered them on July 8 and he and a helper installed them on Aug. 22. He was great to work with and we are very pleased with the doors. The quality of their work is outstanding.

When John came out to provide an estimate for replacement of our front door, he brought sample door sections that made it easy to get a good perspective of the product we were considering. He was able to answer all of my questions thoroughly. His son came back later in the week with color samples so we could make a decision on the door color. The installation was quite involved with the removal of the existing doors and they had to address some other structural issues before hanging the new door. The process took about 4 weeks between ordering the door and installation due to the extreme winter weather. John and his son were wonderful to work with and we are pleased with our new door!

One word: Outstanding! We choose John Gingrich for his initial presentation when he came to our home and the high quality product he was representing. We wanted a strong, extremely secure and weather-tight patio door for our north-facing patio. Other patio doors were definitely cheaper, but none offered the same quality. And the Angie's List references on the quality of his work were very good. Admittedly and not by choice, I'm a exacting customer. If I'm paying for a product, it needs to meet the quality & service that I'm paying for. Don't get me wrong - I do not expect a filet mignon from a Wendy's 99 hamburger; however it should be quick, hot and served with a smile. So after reviewing several bids, we decided to go with a high quality door from a professional installer and we were not disappointed with Precision. John G. & his crew had to work through some rotted wood at the bottom of the frame - he did this calmly and without a lot of drama (I know other contractors who would have made a big fuss over this). Also the fit between the door and latch wasn't quite right (heavy click when you shut the door) and John again came through, having a representative from the manufacturer visit the site and together they solved the issue. We also had a delay for the security system folks to do their installation work - again, no drama. I cannot say enough good things about John Gingrich. He completely delivered and more. I will use him in the future without hesitation and cannot rate him & his company high enough. If you are looking for a highly skilled craftsman to work on your home, John is your person.

John Gingerich personally came out and listened to what I wanted done. He brought a model of the new door with him for me to see. He provided a written estimate before he left for the new door that included repair of small area of water damaged sub-floor. Since one of my windows was a brand new installation, he had to consult with his window provider before calling me back to discuss the possibilities. He promptly mailed the proposal for the windows as soon as I agreed to have the work done. This transpired during the latter part of August, 2013. I had the work done two months later, when it was convenient for me, even though Mr. Gingerich had the windows ready to install before that date. Mr. Gingerich himself and two family members performed the work, which took approximately 2 days to complete. They were professional, friendly, trustworthy and organized. They covered my floor and furniture with drop cloths to protect them and cleaned up every day before they left. The replacement window and door were installed without damage to the existing paint work. The wall that had to be cut and framed for the new window was left in condition ready to be painted. The photographs attest to the neatness and precision of Mr. Gingrich's work. I am completely satisfied with the work. The wood trim is beautiful and the new door and windows let so much more light into my home and allow us to appreciate the beautiful trees outside. I recommend this company without reservation for the installation of new doors and windows.

John promptly contacted me after I called for an estimate to replace our entrance door and sidelights, and we set up an appointment for a first visit, during which he patiently and clearly explained the different options to my wife and me. He provided us a catalog of ProVia doors (made in Ohio), and he had samples that allowed us to have a better idea of how the different options would look . On a couple of occasions after his initial visit, he returned at our request to answer questions that we had about the different styles of doors and the glass for the sidelights. He gave us helpful suggestions when we asked for his opinion, but he did not rush us to make a decision, nor did he try to push a certain style on us. When comparing different estimates for the same/similar door replacement, John's cost was the most economical, which helped make our decision to go with Precision Building Service for this job. Once we made a decision and signed the contract, the door arrived about three weeks later, and a date was set shortly thereafter for installation. On the day of the installation John and his son arrived promptly as scheduled and completed the work in one day. They worked steadily during the entire day, and they were meticulous in their work. They were careful to protect the floor during installation, and they cleaned up everything after they were finished. They even reinstalled the storm door free of charge. We are happy with the way the door and sidelights turned out, and we are glad that we had Precision Builders do the work. John and his son are very professional and competent. The father, John, was very professional and courteous in our fist phone conversation. He promptly sent a brochure full of door options, and then I made my selections and signed the contract. We agreed on a time for the work to be done. The installation of the four new doors would require two days. I should mention that John clearly stated that I didn't really need inner and outer steel doors; he said one steel door on each entry was quite sufficient...but I wanted 'overkill' since my home had suffered a break-in by a burglar who'd kicked in one of my old doors. The point here is that John is an honest gentleman NOT trying to sell anything his customers don't need. His son, Mike, is every bit the polite professional his father is. He arrived as scheduled, carefully setting up his power tools in my driveway, and commencing to work immediately. In fact, I've never seen anyone work so intently and steadily for so long, and with such exactitude! He patiently trimmed every piece of his wood and metal work to fit perfectly. On the first day he completed one pair of doors, and on the second he finished the other. The work was absolutely outstanding then and now, adding immeasurably to the security and value of my home. Furthermore, the exacting precision with which Mike constructed the new doors enables them to open and close smoothly, quite unlike the old ones that scuffed the floor and so forth. A year after the work was done, all four doors remain in excellent condition, and no burglars have risked breaking their ankles or shoulders trying to break these fortifications! Precision Building Service totally lives up to its name. I heartily recommend the great work that John and Mike deliver to our community; they are honorable gentlemen we can trust to deliver the very finest workmanship!

John has done work for us for many years. Can't say enough good things about John. He does great work! He's very professional in all that he does and is always very fair with the price. He's very reliable--always here when he says he coming. Communications with him are always excellent. We can always count on him to do all jobs in a timely manner and it is all quality workmanship. John was able to come the same day I called for an estimate. He brought samples of the textured glass available, hardware for the doors and provided me with a catalog for ProVia doors.I was impressed that the doors were made in Sugarcreek, Ohio. John took the time to explain all the options available. I did not feel rushed to make a decision. After 3 weeks, John called to say my door had arrived and we set a date to have it installled. John and his son arrived on the morning of the install. They protected the floors in the area they were working, they cleaned up with the shop vac and completed the project same day. I was very pleased with the finished project. I feel John went above and beyond to match up the interior wood trim around the door and replace some rotten wood on the exterior below the door. John was even willing to look at another door that was not latching properly and did a minor repair before leaving. I would definitely recommend Precision Building Service.

John arrived on time to provide us with a cost and timing of the door replacement. John's son Mike actually did the installation. He was very detailed in his work and cleanliness of the job. He completed in the entire project in one day. We are very happy with the quality of the door and the installation.

Everything went very smoothly. Both John and Mike are such nice people and terrific to work with. I'd recommend them to anyone and would use them for other services the company provides if the occasion arises. I am always pleased when I can use local contractors, especially when they are not part of a big chain. I was also glad that the storm doors they use are made here in Ohio.

He is very professional, always on time, cleaned up after himself. The quality of his work was excellent. He is my go-to man. He is willing to go above and beyond. His pricing is very fair. I tend to be very particular and I would highly recommend this company to anyone. He was always on site during construction.

John came out soon after I called for an estimate. The door was purchased separately since I knew which one would match another I had. On the day of installation John and 2 of his crew arrived promptly. They took great care to protect my floors and the items in the area of the door. They did not leave until the new french door was working like a dream. John and his staff were professional and pleasant to work with. I feel they performed the project as if it was being done in their own houses!

Called Precision Building Service for a quote and set up an appointment with John, the owner. He was prompt and courteous. A custom sized replacement door was required due to the opening size. We decided on an Anderson Eagle Series door after looking at a couple different options. We received a quote within a couple days and gave John the OK to order the replacement door. A deposit was required prior to ordering. The door came in about five weeks. John called us a few days before the door was scheduled to be delivered to schedule installation. John, his son and son-in-law arrived as the door was delivered on the day scheduled. After removing the old door, a rotten header was discovered. They made recommendations and it was agreed that they should tear out the old header material and rebuild the opening. That extended the installation time but they did not leave that day until the new door was installed and functioning properly. John came back the following day to complete the finish work and trim. The header replacement cost us a little more but for the extra time and materials, it was well worth it. We couldn't be more pleased with the work and new door.

Found Precision Building Service on Angies List after our house was broken into through our front door. John came out and not only gave us an estimate but helped us pick out the right door and screen, colors and inside trim stain color to match our current trim inside our house. He was very helpful and very particular on how the finished product would look. He ordered the door right away and even had his son in law come out the Saturday before the Christmas Holidays to put the door in. Elmer spent most of Saturday putting the new frame, doors and trim on. He did an excellent job and both he and John were very professional. When the door was completed and Elmer cleaned up it looked like he had never been there. Very pleased with this company and John and Elmer. Front door looks great!

John and his son spent an entire Saturday replacing my back door and installing a storm door; very meticulate and John is very customer friendly; great work ethic and good businessman.

The actual job took a little over a day due to weather, but was in a timely fashion and done with wonderful expertise.

Our side-entry garage door did not fully open because the bottom of the door hit the concrete floor in our garage and the door's footer was beginning to rot. I called Precision Building Service for a quote on a new door. John came out a few days later on a Saturday and gave me a quote. He was upfront and honest with me about what needed to be done to properly install a new door to ensure it fit and operated properly. About three weeks later, John came back and replaced the door along with both the header and footer. The door looks great and now properly opens/closes and locks.

After waiting two weeks for our third quote, I found Precision on Angies list the day the third quote came in. After reading the reports for Precision I called John and that same evening he came for his presentation. I was so impressed with how prepared he was. He not only had all the samples for different doors, he actually had a full sidelight with two different sides. This made it easier to see what the sidelights would look like. It took about five weeks to get the door manufactured (ProVia). On the day of the installation, Mike and Elmer arrived right on time and spend the day installing the door. They were very polite and did an "Outstanding" job with the entire project. They took all the necessary steps to make sure we were happy with their work. They were very meticulous about making sure they did not damage the new hardwood floor we had installed. Every aspect of the project was done to perfection. My wife and I are very pleased with this company. I would definitely recommend Precision Building Service to anyone.

John was able to set up a meeting the next day after my call. He came and took measurements first, We discussed different options of doors to replace the ones we had including the trim and door handles. He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions. With the trim he made a call to the door company to make sure the trim could be matched in pine wood. He also allowed me to keep his sample color swatches so I could show them to the painters who were going to be painting our house right after the doors were installed. He estimated it would take about 3 weeks for the doors to be finished at the company. His estimate was just about right. He was able to come and install them within the week of getting them from the door company. The installation was smooth. They were very thorough and clean. They paid attention to detail in making sure things were sealed and aligned. They were punctual and communicated at every step including when they would be there on the days of installation. It took 3 days total to get the doors completely installed. They operate wonderfully and look fantastic! I would highly recommend this company for those persons looking for a company that demonstrates excellent craftsmanship and a solid and dependable work ethic. I will definitely be using them in the future.

I obtained three estimates from A-rated companies to replace an existing front entry door with a Craftsman style fiberglass door. Precision Building Service provided the most competitive and detailed quote. I scheduled an appointment with John who came out my house and provided me with an estimate. I had done some research and had a basic idea of the brand and style that I wanted to purchase. John spent about an hour with me discussing options, measuring, and explaining the process. He answered all of my questions and was extremely knowledgeable about the door/brand that I selected. I was impressed that he spent so much time working with me even though he knew that I was in the process of getting estimates and was not ready to make a purchase on the spot. He also struck me as a genuinely nice person. John informed me that it would take between four and six weeks to manufacture the door. I have had other doors made by the same manufacturer installed, so this was not a surprise. One month after sending in my deposit, John called to let me know that the door was in and to schedule a convenient time for installation. On the day scheduled for the installation, Mike called ahead of time to let me know that he was on his way. He did a wonderful job resolving the issues related to our existing door framing and made everything as straight as he possible could. Mike is a true craftsman, and his work is meticulous. He treated this job like it was work that he was doing on his own home. In my experience with contractors that is the exception and not the rule. I could not be happier with the new door or with my experience with Precision Building Service. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to friends and family, and if I ever need another door or windows they will be the first company that I call.

They were wonderful to do business with and they did an excellent job installing the new door along with the oak casing. They matched the stain of our existing woodwork perfectly. Precision Building's workmanship is so much better than that of our original builder. I wish I could have them redo my entire house.

John and his workers did such a great job. John was very helpful in the planning stages, answering all of our questions and submitting drawings and plans for permits. John and his son came on the first day to set up, they laid down cardboard to protect our wood floors and put up plastic to contain the dust. They came and worked hard every day until the job was done, even putting in a few long days to make sure we stayed on schedule. They left the site clean and tidy every evening. We were very happy working with Precision Building Service throughout the whole process and are beyond happy with the finished job. Thanks John!!

The day of installation came and John's son and son-in-law were professional, friendly and competent. They did a great job. They even offered to fix another problem with another door for $5.00. They planed the bottom of a door that had started to take the varnish off of the floor when opened all the way. They went above all of my expectations. Will recommend and will hire again. John came out right after I called to give us an estimate. During the entire process, John was easily accessible and detail oriented. John took into consideration all of our needs and wants when helping us choose our new doors. We couldn't be happier with the result. From beginning to end, he and his installers did an exceptional job.

They were 100% reliably, punctual, and did craftsmanlike work I have not seen since my grandfather did carpentry for me. Although a little more expensive than others, I did not worry about having them in my home for the hours this project took --they even answered questions from my sons re: their job and what they were doing. They also managed to find me a front door I needed but did not know was available (screen and sliding storm). Previous to hiring them I had tried (4 trips) to get this done through a big box store and had had mass confusion (they could not figure out what to order to get the job done and required multiple trips to estimate the job)--Mr. Gingrich picked the items out of a catalog with color and style options offered. There is no substitute for competence and work ethic which are shown in abundance by this company.
