Went very well. They communicated well and completed everything they stated they would. If an issue arose it was corrected immediately. They quoted repairing a hole in our floor with a very reasonable hourly labor & material rate as neither of us knew the true extent of the damage. The hole was under vinly flooring. They were able to remove then replace the vinyl flooring so we didn't have to purchase new flooring. We normally always have a little extra flooring on hand but our style floor was discontinued and we did not have any. They discovered additional damage to side walls. They offered different options to repair the damage. I supported their recommendations since they knew how to repair things correctly and not just put a band aid on them. They were always on time, very professional and respecful of our home. They explained everything they were going to do so we had a good understanding of what they were doing as well as why they were doing it. We just had a very high level of trust and respect for; all of their employees we came in contact with, their pricing and their workmanship. If we ever have similar work that we'd need in the future, we'd just call them and schedule it. No need to talk to anyone else.

From the very first interaction with John and Galen, I knew I wanted Precision Building Service to install our door and sidelights. John and Galen brought out full sized sidelight samples. It made it so easy to pick the color, and envision the final product. Both gentlemen were very thorough and patient with the whole process. I had a tricky aspect to my door replacement and Galen came up with a solution that is perfect. All my phone calls and emails were always returned very promptly. The installation could not have been smoother, more thorough, or more pleasant. Galen and Elmer were wonderful, and did a fantastic job. The clean-up was thorough as well. They took great care in protecting my wood foyer floor, and the areas around the new door. I love my new ProVia door! This is an exceptional company. (Note about picture-my new door trim is not painted. That will happen when the weather breaks.)

After 108 years, our home's original entry doors were no longer able to keep drafts out or function smoothly year-round. Multiple lock changes since then haven't helped, and resulted in multiple ugly and draft-prone holes! We set out to find someone who could do the hard job of replacing our doors with new ones that were not only weather-proof, but also in line with the character and style of both the original doors as well as our home's remaining woodwork. Enter: Precision Building Services! I honestly cannot say enough good things about our experience with Precision Building Services. From the first contact, John and his team went above and beyond to ensure that all our questions were answered and that we were happy with our doors. We had an immediate rapport with John and Galen when they came to do our estimate. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and thorough. They brought no shortage of samples with them, and the opportunity to see and touch the product put me at ease about how the doors would fit with the character of our home. Installation was scheduled for the time frame Galen gave us when we signed the contract and paid our deposit a few weeks after our estimate. He and Elmer turned up at the time they said they would, and took every precaution to cover our floors and furniture. In 3 days, both entry doors and their accompanying storm doors were replaced with our new selections! Our new Provia doors look fantastic! The color matches perfectly, and the doors look appropriate for our home and feel solid and secure. And while it is too cold now to try out the retractable screen feature of our new storm doors, we are delighted with those as well! I will add that we had a second quote done just because of the financial outlay this project involved, and that experience only confirmed our decision that Precision Building Services was the right contractor for us. At least in our case, Precision's pricing was far better and our money stretched further: we were able to get the "extra" things we wanted, like kick plates and nicer storm doors, and still pay less than the second estimate (which was for the exact same brand and series of doors). And cost aside, feeling comfortable with someone who is coming to our home to work on it is very important to us, and of the two, only Precision Building Services had this intangible but crucial thing going for them.

Precision Building Service replaced our patio door. We received several replacement estimates, but were most impressed with Precision's professionalism and commitment to a quality product with quality installation. They arrived when said they would and stayed until the job was finished. They did find some water damage when they removed our existing door, which they repaired at a very reasonable price. Precision put in an extremely long day, was meticulous in their installation, and they left our house, patio, and garage cleaner than when they arrived. The quality of new door exceeds our expectations. We will definitely use them again.

We purchased the doors and installation from Precision Building Service. After gathering a few other estimates we went with Precision with confidence in their selections and approach. We ordered doors from a catalog but were able to make the necessary adjustments for a perfect fit to our 1966 replacements. Not all estimates adjusted the door - some wanted to cut into door headers or the entry to make their door work. These new doors have made us so happy and saved energy waste. The doors improved our quality of life and enjoyment in the home. We were overdue for new doors. Working with small Company - expect some scheduling delays perhaps and the price will not be the best offer, but I would absolutely go this route again. The team was EXCELLENT! We had chosen this business because of great ratings on Angie's List and they were right! We needed a new front door and had a ton of dry rot around the frame. They came in and took care of all of it!! The precision and detail of their work was unmatched. They were prompt, they were respectful, they cleaned up after they were finished and the final product looks like it was part of the house all along. Even the detailed work inside of the house in replacing the molding makes it look like it was always there. I HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone looking for a new front door or any other building service they offer. It is the kind of quality work that you don't find anymore. We are happy customers for sure!!

My experience with Precision Building Service was beyond exceptional. There are several different companies which provide a similar service but they could not hold a candle to this family owned business. From the very first phone call with Erma, there was something unique about how they communicate with the customer. How wonderful to have a portable showroom delivered to your home. The convenience factor hit the mark. John was very precise in measuring and discussing the options. So pleased with his recommendations because he was right with each and every detail. The prep work is critical to the process. Not only did I receive impeccable guidance but the installation was more akin to observing an artist work on his master piece. There is a lot of fine detail with the installation and Mike has a true gift. Would like to mention how tidy he is while working throughout the day. Two doors were installed and both are just beautiful! After each installation, I received the most impressive follow up. It has been such a privilege to work with such honorable, hard- working people. We have already talked about future installations. This was by far, the single best experience I have ever had in almost 30 years of home ownership. Truly, it was a pleasure.

John did a great job. He was very professional and did it correctly. He did not just do a quick, easy fix. John did an excellent job. I would definitely use him again. I could find no other companies that install French Doors were willing to do repairs. I felt the estimated price was a little high but when I saw the precision he used in doing the work correctly, I felt it was worth the price. Door is operating perfectly 9 months after repaired.

John, owner, came to our house with books and samples; provided excellent guidance and suggestions. We were provided with lots of options. His son was punctual on day of instalation. He was professional and meticulous with the installation. He put up plastic to keep dust contained and the house warmer. Threshold and molding was replaced. Old doors taken away. The new door fits snugly and no more drafts in front hall. The new door exceeds my expectations. Every step of the process went smoothly.

We suspected that there had been wood sub-floor water damage, which was part of the proposal. John Gingerich's proposal was detailed and clear. We purchased a quality set of doors from Precision; they're very experienced in installing doors in general, and in this line of doors in particular. Well, there was more water damage than anyone suspected -- which took more time, and a trip to a lumber store -- but (between the craftsman in the basement crawlspace, and the one on the first floor), we think the flooring is better than it even was originally. The flooring replacement pushed the day's installation back considerably -- but they decided to stay and finish the job in one day, rather than leave, or close up, the back - large - hole in our wall. We were charged for additional materials and labor, which we knew from the proposal and from talking with the installers, and the price was fair. Fast and meticulous work by Mike and Elmer installing the double doors! Wow! Courteous, on time, focused, knowledgeable.

An appointment was scheduled quickly and the door was installed without problem. This business is family owned and operated and they know their craft! My new door looks and works great!

I fell in love with Provia Doors. Not only is the door attractive, but also solid, well manufactured, and energy efficient. A search lead me to Precision Building Services. John brought his traveling showroom to our house. Inside his van, he had cross-sections of the different doors and spent considerable time explaining the differences. He wanted to make sure we got a door which would withstanding the brutal west face of the elements. In addition, John had wood & fiberglass color samples, and glass samples. He was patient with me as I selected my door from the samples. (and changed my mind a few times.) I am very pleased with our door's appearance. Even my husband, who typically does not notice such things, praised the door as "handsome." Even excellent products can fail without proper installation. I was NOT concerned about Precision Building Services. I was confident installation would be top notch. During John's initial sales call, I was impressed by his attention to detail. He notice every nuisance and then some as he carefully measured for the door. Mike and Elmer, when they arrived with the door, were well prepared from John's notes. I cannot say enough about both Mike and Elmer. The guys were very pleasant, personable, and hard working. Our sub-floor was just starting to flake/rot. Through their skill and expertise, they meticulously repaired the floor creating a solid, level surface for installation. An excellent job without comparison! Our door was on solid footing. The guys put in LONG day. It was going on 12 hours and they were still as conscientious as when they first arrived. Hours after starting, they were meticulously attending to minute details intent on making everything perfect. I still remember Mike with extra Provia stain buffing the door. Elmer did an excellent job cleaning up. In fact, he swept the garage better than I. For a construction project, the house remained clean even though dust was being kicked up. I recently had a remodeler stop by for an estimate. He recognized the door as Provia since he had installed a few in himself. The remodeler continued with high praise of Mike and Elmer's work. He praised the door's alignment as level and straight; and the door jambs, corners, and trim as tight. In short, a highly regarded professional was impressed by Mike and Elmer's installation. Our foyer was once drafty and cold. Now with the air tight installation of our new entry system by Precision Building Service, no more air leakage. Thanks for a great job!

It was a great experience working with Precision. John was very helpful in answering questions and providing options as we worked through the selection process. Mike did an outstanding job with the install. He came out on a cold day and worked tirelessly on the project, including coming up with a solution for an unforeseen issue with flooring. His attention to detail was very much appreciated and his workmanship was outstanding.

They worked all day long through rain and heat. They went above and beyond to make sure we will not have any problems with our new door. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality work for a reasonable price.

New doors needed, two quotes received We needed a new front door, a new back door, a new back screen door and a new set of locks installed on our garage door to match the other two new doors. Jon was incredibly professional when he came out, had samples so I knew exactly what we would be getting, and his quote was $700 less than our other quote, despite both companies having the same high quality materials. Why Precision Building Service Exceeds Expectations Precision Building Service was also able to install our doors a month before the other potential company and was flexible about his installation date and able to work around my difficult schedule. His son and two other employees arrived on time, after calling to let me know they were on their way, and laid down extensive protective covering for the front entryway and the back entryway. They also laid down cloths to cover the entire path running from the garage to both other doors. They begun at 8:30am, took a quick break for lunch, and continued to work tirelessly until 8:30pm! We had rain showers that interrupted the process periodically, which made the day longer for the crew, but their thoroughness and high quality of their work never wavered! Jon himself began working in the afternoon, and not only did he fix a wobbly garage step (free of charge), but also rehung our front screen door for a very small cost (even though I had failed to mention we wanted his company to do when they finished and this is always an extra expense). Everyone was also incredibly thorough cleaning up our garage (which they used for sanding, measuring, cutting, etc) as well as our house. I think our house was left cleaner than when they arrived :). Why Using a Big Box Store (aka Lowes/Home Depot/Menards) Does Not Work I will add that the reason we decided to look on Angie's List for purchasing new doors was that we had a terrible experience last summer attempting to order doors from a big box store. Not only did the doors not come in until 2 months after we had ordered them, their subcontractor couldn't install the doors until October, even though we had started the process in July! We had also not had much luck in communicating with the store itself regarding the process, but luckily the customer service department kindly took back our entire custom order because of all the problems we had encountered. The cost for those doors, plus hardware--all of which I had to agonize over so many different kinds of doors, casings, knobs, etc without a lot of help from the store people) - was approximately $3300. The $300 WAS NOT WORTH IT! Not only did I get a three week turnaround in regards to when I received the quote to when the doors were installed, but Jon came to MY HOUSE and advised me on what I needed, rather than me having to spend multiple hours on MULTIPLE days driving to and from the big box store. Overall I know I got a higher quality of product and A MUCH, MUCH, MUCH, easier ordering/installation process by going through Precision Building Services. Time is money, and I regret not using Angie's List to begin with to order our doors. I cannot recommend Jon and Precision Building Service enough-a family run company that has impeccable service and quality of workmanship!

My experience with Precision Building Service was amazing. After my house was burglarized, John Gingerich came out to my house in less than 48 hours. He was very sympathetic and extremely helpful. John spent more than an hour at my house helping me decide on a new door and he came equipped with an array of full length door samples to prop up at my front door for comparison. None of the other companies that I received quotes from came with such an impressive set of samples. His quote was far better than any competitor for a very high quality entry door and 2 storm doors from Provia. I believe it was his son that arrived for the installation, and I feel badly that I can't recall his name. He did an amazing job and completed the installation of the new door and 2 storm doors in a single day! He was extremely polite, meticulous, and cleaned up completely after completing the work. Not only this, Precision Building went above and beyond by repairing pre-existing damage to the trim and ensuring every nook and cranny was sealed! The operation of the doors is smooth and air tight. I am amazed at the skill and workmanship of the installation! The Provia entry door is stunning and the storm doors are surprisingly nice looking! I highly recommend Precision Building!
