R-Pro Insulation Professionals

After an energy audit and a prompt and professional estimate, R-Pro was given the job to insulate my house. Two guys showed up on time (which is important to me) and I was so impressed by how friendly they were but more impressed at their professional and thorough job. Couldn't believe all the caulking that was required. They were more than happy to show me any work they did when I asked. Also showed me work they had completed. After all the preliminary work was done and it was time to blow the insulation they showed me electrical wires that were damaged by squirrels that had been in the attic over 15 years ago and said they couldn't insulate over the wires. Had to get the wires repaired before they could insulate but they told me it might be a while because they were booked into December. After the wires were repaired I called to set up an appointment and was told that, since it was a half-day job they were able to schedule me within two weeks!!! The same two guys showed up to do the job and I was so pleased with the work and their friendliness and professionalism. I am totally satisfied with the work they did but more satisfied at how it was done by being able to squeeze me in to a busy schedule and refusing to insulate over exposed electrical wires. I recommend R-Pro and would not hesitate to call them again if I need any insulation work.

I scheduled an energy audit with Columbia Gas --- the audit recommended the air sealing and I would get a nice rebate on the service at the time of service and a follow up rebate from Columbia Gas. I scheduled the air sealing with R-Pro because they were on Angie's List. The technicians came as scheduled and did the job as planned.

My home is in contract to be sold. On the Request to Remedy list, the buyers requested that I install baffles in the attic. I knew this was done last year by R-Pro but did not have any specific proof. John Reichow - Owner of R-Pro personally wrote a letter for me describing the materials that were used and service that was performed last year. The response to my inquiry was fast, efficient and professional. Outstanding customer service 1+ years later! I highly recommend R-Pro!

I had this done after a home energy audit through Columbia Gas. R-Pro was one of their approved providers. The cost was in line with what the guy who did the energy audit said it would be. The gentleman doing the estimate was thorough and explained my options for insulation. I chose to go with the amount that would be covered by the rebates provided by the energy audit program. The appointment was scheduled for 8/1/14 at 9am. I received a call a little before 9 saying that the crew was on their way. They showed up a few minutes later and began work. They were efficient and professional. The job took a little over three hours. I checked each attic and the vent hoses that they had installed and everything looked good. They cleaned up the little bits insulation that had fallen on the floors during the process. Overall a good experience.

It went very well. It took them about a day with 3 workers. They were smart guys who were willing to discuss things. They also did very well with addressing my questions. They were also very professional and efficient.

They were easy to work with and very knowledgeable. For the most part they were very thorough. They had more double check their work and I found a couple small spots that were missed during the spray foam session. They went back and corrected those errors. I may have just been knit-picking since it's an expensive product. My only real complaint I have is that they probably could have cleaned up better. Again, this might be knit-picking since insulation seems to get everywhere regardless of what you do. Towards the end of the job I kind of got the impression that they were ready to leave and seemed slightly rushed during the clean up phase. Overall I would say I was happy with the end result and would recommend R-Pro.

I got several quotes and went with R-Pro as I felt they offered the best price and professional level of service. Arrived as scheduled for estimate and work. Clean, professional and efficient. Quote seemed fair- I would have to go back to my records to see what we actually paid- I guessed at the $700 cost listed above. What I can say is R-Pro was 1/2 the cost of one other company that insulates with the same product. I highly recommend getting several quotes and make sure R-Pro is one of them!

, Left a voice mail which they responded to in a couple of days. Sales man came to my home on time and explained the job completely to me and worked with me on price. He did push products that I would not need. Workers were early, worked fast, did an excellent job. They did a great job cleaning up never knew they were there after they left.

E-mailed the company inquiring about an AEP assessment and beefing up my attic insulation, received a call from the office within two hours! Luke came out shortly after, did the energy walk-through and assessed the attic. I had a depth of R24 with batts, original to the house. Luke provided estimates to take it up to R49 and R60 and guided me through the decision. He laid out the specifics of the job in detail, and emailed me an estimate immediately. I scheduled service right on the spot as I was rather impressed with his professionalism and guidance. The installers came early on the day of service (after calling to check if that was OK), protected my floor surfaces, and cleaned up once the job was complete. You would never know they were there! Within hours of their departure, my thermostat went up two degrees. I will certainly see the savings in my next bill. Also, the $25 AEP assessment earned me a $90 rebate on the insulation work. Excellent service, very professional. Good experience overall and I have already recommended the company to others.

These folks are great! Excellent work and great clean up. Got more for our money than expected. Spray foam is the way to go in basements, and they give you more R-value than what you pay for. We paid for 2" foam with R-14, but most everyplace the foam was closer to 3+ inches. We were very pleased, and Luke was a good guy to deal with. These folks are great! Once we decided on service we wanted, scheduling was easy and once again, they were right on time. Prices were very reasonable/competitive for service(s)/product(s) received. Very thorough. The quoting and work process went smoothly. John explained the options and the benefits of the more and less expensive options -- actually recommended the cheapest option. The team arrived on time, work was done quickly and made a big difference in the house.

The installation went well but too early to tell what effect it will have on winter heating bills. The company was hard to get ahold of by telephone.

We met with a representative for a free evaluation and quote about a month prior to work being preformed. He was very thorough with his inspection and addressed all our concerns and questions. He found we needed: 1) additional insulation to meet today's energy recommendations [not unexpected since our home is 37 years old], 2) ratter baffles at soffits for proper ventilation and 3) add missing ductwork from bathroom exhaust fans. His inspection also verified that there was no mold within the attic structure due to the missing exhaust ducts. He explained the materials, installation and rebates available. We then agreed to an installation cost and date. They arrived on the date and exact time agreed and finished in approximately four hours. The work also included a Grid Smart "In-Home Energy Assessment and Rebate" from AEP. They documented all our appliances and filled out the claim form for our submittal for rebate. We were also given a Manufacturer's Certificate Statement to submit for Tax Relief. The Installers were pleasant and professional. They covered the stair and hallway with a protective pads and vacuumed when done. They had me inspect the work prior to cleaning up and payment. I am completely satisfied and would recommend to other homeowners.

.Before calling R-Pro, we had done much research on the different types of insulation that could be used to remedy our situation. Purely by coincidence, we watched a show on "This Old House" where they recommended that spray foam insulation would give the best thermal results although they said it would be pricier than any other way. We live in a 75 year old house with a shallow crawl space. The block it sits on has eroded in many places and it seemed like our furnace ran continually. We were always cold! After making the decision to use foam, we called R-Pro and John, the owner, came out with Luke to give us advice and an estimate. I was very concerned that the foam odor would be noxious as I'm very sensitive to petroleum based products. We were delighted to learn that R-Pro can use a a soy based foam that has minimal impact on the enviroment and offered high long term thermal resistance. We opted for this product and we really cannot believe the difference it has made. Luke crawled down the shallow space and spent 3 1/2 hours filling in cracks and sealing the rim band around the perimeter. My husband had already covered the dirt floor with thick mil plastic and so when Luke was done, we could immediately feel the difference. The smell was gone in an hour and it was very tolerable. Even today, with all the wind, the furnace has turned on minimally. We are very excited to have found this product and we thank John and Luke for their hard work and professionalism. The product is eligible for Federal Tax Credit.

i was very pleased with my r-pro experience. although i initially had some difficulty speaking to someone at the company, once i got a call back, everything went like clockwork. john showed up when promised and provided a very competitive estimate (i received a bid from another company). he said he had a crew in the area and might be able to squeeze my small job in that afternoon. i got a call at 1:30 and was told the guys were on the way. set arrived shortly and spent the next several hours spraying foam. john showed up personally to get the guys going. his crew was courteous, professional, and all work. spray foam can be a messy product, but the guys worked cleanly and cleaned up the debris that is unavoidable. overall, i had a great experience with r-pro and would recommend.

Excellent job! They were very professional and the work was neatly done. Good at "diagnosing" problems and providing a quality solution. Knowledgable and effecient; took time to answer my questions. Didn't try to sell me something I didn't need and there was no additional cost beyond the estimate. I have already referred them to others.

They did a very good job. He went around the house to see where we needed more insulation. He looked all over house and then gave us an estimate of how much it was going to cost. We called other people and then compared. We found they were more efficient, cheaper, and economical so we used them. They did a very good job. They cleaned up very well.
