R-Pro Insulation Professionals

We added insulation to our home after receiving a home energy audit and rebates from our gas company. We are very happy with the work R-Pro did. The company was very responsive. They arrived on time and worked efficiently, making sure we approved the work. They also did a great job cleaning up.

It went really well. John came out first and did a thorough inspection of the house and explained to me in detail what needed to be done. The guys who came to do the job were nice and professional. They worked quietly, talked to me through each step of the job, and cleaned up afterward. Before they left, they showed me a few other places we could make changes ourselves to tighten up the house even more.

R-Pro showed up on time and finished on time. Did a good job

Company sent out a relatively inexperienced salesmen, Austin. He often had to check with the Owner regarding pricing, scope, etc. Everything I inquired about “shouldn’t be a problem,” according to salesmen. Unfortunately, it occasionally was a problem. We verbally discussed and agreed on a scope. We attempted to proceed with signing a contract for work to be done by the company. The company presented me with a very one-sided contract that did not even fully list the scope of the work. It only listed the materials. I attempted to clarify this. It also had a lot of boilerplate language that was not appropriate to my install. For example, to install insulation in my house I was required to release them of liability should they damage my roof, my lawn, or break my sidewalk or driveway! According to the contract, these items were beyond their control. I scratched this stuff off the Contract. It even went so far as to say that I could not cancel without penalty, but should they become delayed I’d have to wait until if they were able to schedule me again. I sent back my corrections and indicated that I’d be happy to discuss these changes with the Owner. The salesmen contacted me soon thereafter and told me that the Owner decided that he did not want to work for me. I tried to contact the Owner and my phone calls were not returned. I can only assume that they were going to rip me off and were no longer interested in working for me once I was on to them. I don’t know if they do good work or not, but certainly read the fine print!

The crew arrived on time, was very professional, and did a great job.

I could not be happier with the service I received from start to finish. I had Columbia Gas perform an energy audit of my home. I had grown tired of my energy bills creeping upward, especially when we have an exceptionally hot or cold season here in Ohio. My home was built in 1959. Well, I had no idea it had very little insulation. Ugh! Columbia Gas recommended R-Pro for the work I needed/wanted done to insulate my home. R-Pro was wonderful. The estimate was straightforward and John made sure I understood my options. The two-man crew who completed the work were great. R-Pro handled all the rebate paperwork that I was eligible to receive through Columbia Gas. I wish all companies were this easy to work with on a home project! I am telling all my neighbors to take advantage of the Columbia Gas rebate/energy audit program while it is available and to call R-Pro! They will take good care of your home.

The appointment was made easily, Mr. Reichow was thorough and professional, and provided a detailed assessment and estimate. Ultimately we did not go with R-Pro because another company's proposed material and detailed installation plan appeared to be more appropriate for OUR situation (an older home with somewhat inaccessible attic areas, lots of nooks and crannies), but R-Pro is certainly a company we will continue to consider. We have nothing but good things to say about our interactions with them.

The insulation was more than it needed to be (R60) and the structure to keep the insulation from falling out of hatch was made out of foam board (cheap and fell apart). In addition, there is still NO air-flow in our attic and the baffles were poorly constructed. I feel like we were taken advantage of and now have to hire someone to come back out and fix the air-flow issue.

Great. Our house feels warmer and we hear less noise from the outside.

They arrived on time and were effecient in their work. They added baffles for ventilation and built a wooden barrier at the attic access to hold back the insulation. The builder used cardboard which doesn't stand up too long if someone needs access. Very accommodating, I asked for some before and after photos which they did without hesitation.

They were amazing. They were actually able to do the job same day as the quote. When they discovered that they didn't have to do as much as originally quoted, they let us know and saved us almost $900.

Excellent. John the owner came for the quote exactly on time, spent a good amount of time checking our insulation needs. He was very cordial and knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions and was not sales pitchy at all. He gave us a very fair quote and date for the job when I asked, and we accepted. The insulators came on that date and time and did a terrific job, very respectful of our house and keeping the job area neat and organized at all times. Clean up was superb inside and out, you would have never known they were there, and the whole experience was awesome- very well done and professional. We already notice a big difference in the house. I would highly recommend R-Pro

Columbia Gas was offering an extra monetary incentive if you get the work they recommended in your energy audit done before the end of 2015. So I called R-Pro to see if they could do the work. I spoke to Carey, who was quite pleasant and helpful on the phone. She said they might be able to meet the deadline since I already had the detailed estimate ---could I please send it to them? A few days later, Carey emailed to remind me they were still waiting for my energy audit (I had difficulty getting a copy from the audit company). I faxed her the copy as soon as I got it---then heard nothing. I emailed Carey, asking if they received my audit. She replied, "Yes, we did receive it. Thank you." And that's the last I heard from them. I can only assume that once they saw in the energy audit that I did not need a lot of work done, they decided I was not even worth their time. It was very unprofessional of this company to not respond at all, and I was surprised, since they were an approved contractor through the Columbia Gas energy audit program.

We are currently remodeling a second floor bathroom which has had issues with pipes freezing the past two winters. As with many home projects, the original plan had to be changed when we saw what was causing the pipes to freeze. Due to what we saw the problem was, we decided to have the gas company out to do their testing for gaps and cold spots. After we were given their recommendations and a list of recommended insulation companies, we chose R-Pro, and are very happy we did. We called them on a Wednesday, and had someone scheduled to come by and give an estimate on Monday morning. He arrive on time and was very friendly and professional. Luckily for us, they were actually able to schedule guys to come out the very next day to take care of the work for us, which given that our bathroom is completely demolished and the project was on hold until they could come fix the insulation problem for us, we were very happy they were willing to work with us and provide such quick service. The workers who came to seal all of the gaps and install the insulation even showed up a few minutes early. Again, they were very nice and professional. They worked hard to get things done and did a great job of cleaning up when they were finished. Our whole experience with R-Pro could not have been any better.

The estimate portion went very well, I didn't feel pressured in the least, and everything was explained to me in detail. The actual installation went well. It was a two day event, the installers left early on the first day for an appointment, but stayed late on the second day to get the project completed on time. I'm very happy with the work that was completed, but wish the cleanup was a little more through.

2 guys came after calling with an arrival estimate. They were very nice, friendly, professional, and efficient. Our job was fairly easy. They had to plug their insulation blower on the truck in to our dryer outlet, and they were able to run their tube in through the front door to the attic access panel. They covered the floor in the foyer, and cleaned up before they left. They also installed baffles in between the rafters to allow circulation from the soffit vents. At our request they also used our camera to take some "before" pics (then we forgot to ask them for "after" pics). We were very pleased with all interactions with this company and will probably use them again in another house we own.

All went well, only complaint were small areas around outlets were not completely covered or sealed.

On time and spent tons of time on the areas where needed it. The guys only took a 20 min break for lunch. Then they were right back to work.

RPro was fantastic. They had an aggressively-priced quote especially when accounting for the amount of spray foam insulation used in the project (other companies quoted over twice the amount). They were punctual, clean, and did great quality work. We would absolutely use RPro again.

Everything was excellent. The crew arrived on time and efficiently went about their work. They blew pink fiberglass insulation into the attic in a nice smooth layer to an even depth, as verified by their little rulers everywhere. They installed the cover for the attic stairs and went on their way. The job took about 5 hours. They left everything clean and we were very pleased with their work. As for the insulation-- WOW! What a difference this has made in our heating bills this winter. I wish we had done this years ago. We did have to wait about four weeks for installation (that's what happens when you call after a big cold snap in November). The other quotes we had were more expensive and would have required waiting an extra month for installation. We are glad that we chose R-Pro and are very pleased with the experience.

The original crew of two who did the work were nice but did not finish and left the exterior cedar shakes damaged. The shakes were damaged in the process of removing and replacing them after a hole was drilled and insulation was fed into the exterior walls. To be fair we knew the cedar shakes were old and may have been easily damaged. John, the owner, met me at our home to inspect the unsatisfactory work. He sent a new crew out to repair the exterior damage. John was easy to work with and although it took several work sessions from the R-Pro crews the job was completed satisfactorily. R-Pro was responsive throughout the process and at no point did I feel they were not going to see the job through. I would use them again.

The project manager was extremely knowledgeable and offered several options. He was very articulate and thorough in answering all my questions. The crew did a great job. This company addressed a lot of issues that other companies I interviewed did not even mention. I would definitely call them for an estimate anytime!

They were courteous, prompt, on-time, polite, friendly, and did exactly what they said they would do. I feel like they went above and beyond and it was an outstanding effort. The installation was neat, uniformed, and they cleaned up after they left. I am 100% satisfied.
