This experience went extremely well. Mike came out to inspect the damaged tree and told us what needed to be done. A week later he and hiscrew came out and cut down the tree and removed it. He included grinding up an old stump from a previous storm at no additional charge. The clean-up went great.

We are satisfied with the work, clean up, and professionalism of the company.

Mike came on time for the appraisal, was very pleasant and also helpful in describing the disease on another Crabtree, and offered referrals. He did the job of the stump removal very professionally.

Mike both addressed the work I originally planned and provided consultation on several other areas of concern on my property. Mike's team was very hard-working and conscientious, and they diligently cleaned up when they were through. Ultimately, I am absolutely thrilled with the quality, timeliness, and value of the work I had performed and will absolutely rely on him for all my future needs in this area. This is the second time I have used Mike Donley. Every aspect of the experience again was SUPERB. He and his crew are consummate professionals. Mike is easy to talk to, does what he says he will do when and how he explained it. Excellent about returning calls. Safety conscious, organized, respectful.

They came out and in no time flat had completed all the work to my satisfaction. They did an excellent job cleaning up the debris afterwards too. Mike also gave me some helpful hints on other trees on the property.

Mike Donley called me back the day I called him and arranged to come by my home and provide me with an estimate. His quote was very reasonable, compared to my previous quote for this job. He and his crew did a great job! And he did me the favor of killing some large poison ivy vines. I am thrilled to have found him, and I know I will use him again in the future.

Contacted Mike via email and he came out and gave an estimate. He even tagged the trees to let us know what types of trees they were. We emailed back and forth a couple times and I accepted his bid. His team was out within a week and did a great job. Mike was on site and even came back to do some minor finishing touches. A great company/individual to work with.

I contacted Mike Donley via email (having found his company on Angie's List), and he responded quickly with an offer to come by the house and take a look at the project. At that time, I was asking for the dead white pine to be removed and all the other trees pruned in order to remove dead branches, pull them back from being so close to the house, and to allow more sun to come into my front yard. Mike visited on the day promised and sent an email recommendation within a few hours. He recommended removing the red oak altogether based on what I had said I hoped could happen in the front yard. I thought about it for a few days and then agreed with him on the red oak. He sent a price quote along with an estimate that he could get to the work in three weeks or so. In the interim, the fine folks at Oakland Nursery built a stone wall and planted grass seed, so by the time Mike came to do the tree work, there were tender grass seedlings where there had been a more normal yardscape. This made the job more complex, but the crew used plywood to protect the seedlings, and it all went beautifully. Mike also recommended a preventative treatment for another tree in my yard. I have an Austrian pine that is prone to fungal disease, and Mike recommended starting a course of treatment with a fungicide before problems occur. It would involve a service he doesn't perform, but he recommended someone who does. I really appreciated that "above and beyond" sensibility. From start to finish, Mike kept to every time and cost commitment, and the results are wonderful. He kept in touch by phone, noting when they would start and when they would finish up. Mike was on site for the whole project, and every aspect of the work was very professional.

I have no complaints.They did a great job. I would recommend them to anyone and I would use them again in the future.

They weren't able to do the service because their equipment would not fit into our patio. He was on time, gave us some advice on who should do the work, and about our trees, and was very friendly. We will definitely use them in the future.

Mike and his crew took the tree and left nary a hint of their presence - the yard and work area were immaculate after they finished. They removed the tree, ground the stump without hitting the wires, removed all debris and cleaned the area. After removing the tree they came back a week later for the stump - Mike contacted me to point out the gutters needed cleaning, and provided an estimate. We had his crew do that work also on their second trip. They did a fantastic job, and Mike was the consummate professional.

Great - Team arrived on time, removed 2 large trees in front of house that was destroyed from Hurricane Ike. They did a great job and were great with the clean-up. They did the job in 1 day. Great Great Service

I was given the quote, I agreed to the service and within the week I was called and the work was completed.

For the most part I was very pleased with the service. They came when they said they would, did the job, and cleaned up the area very well. The only negative issue was the payment terms. Their estimate clearly has the Visa and Mastercard logos, which usually means that the company accepts credit cards. However, I found out after the work was done that they would not accept credit cards, and I would have to give them either cash or a check. This put me in a bind as I scrambled to rearrange my financial situation.

Mike and his guys were the BEST. I live on a heavily wooded lot and have worked with a few local tree companies. Mike is by far the best. He was easy to reach, came right away for estimate. Was HONEST and gave a reasonable and fair price. They cleaned up beautifully. I would recommend them to all. I will use them again!

The wood is of good quality and Mike cuts wood to size if necessary. I needed pieces no larger than 16" and he was able to provide it. I have ordered firewood from multiple companies over the years and never been pleased with the service or quality of wood. I will order wood from Donley in the future.

Mike Donley was very professional. I received the estimate on April 9th and the work was performed the following week. Mike and his crew removed all debris and cleaned site. I am very pleased with the work.

Mike and his 2-man crew removed one of the large forks from our sugar maple tree since it was shading one of my gardens. They also trimmed several branches that were growing toward our garage and one that was growing toward our neighbor's house. Mike did such a good job that the tree looks like it has always grown that way. In addition, they removed some branches and brush from my compost heap that had previously blown off our trees over the fall and winter. We intended to use our chipper shredder earlier this spring but found it to be non-functional. I appreciated Mike's asking if I'd like it removed to complete the job. They cleared all branches and debris from the yard and worked carefully to make sure no damage came to our wood fence. They went so far as to put plywood down on the grass so the truck wouldn't damage the lawn. One crew member had to remove a railroad tie from the path to make their job easier but he replaced it after the job was done and it looks good as new. My only (tiny) complaint was the job was "tentatively scheduled" for 2 weeks after my estimate. However, the job was not completed until over 3 weeks after. I understand weather can cause schedules to be off but I would have appreciated a phone call or email keeping me posted on the timing. Mike was very friendly, hard-working and did the job to my specifications. I highly recommend his services to others!!

After checking carefully, he found that the roots of the pine tree were growing to one side. He ascertained that cabling would be an unnecessary expense because we would likely lose the tree soon anyway. He advised that we instead remove the tree, grind out the stump, and replace it with a Norwegian spruce, which he did. The tree he recommended does much better for the kind of soil we have, and he seemed very knoweldgable about it. We were very pleased with his responsiveness and promptness, and we absolutely appreciated that he made the recommendation rather than doing the work without checking with us. The tree he put in the white pine's place is just beautiful, and we were very happy with his openness and honesty. He did a wonderful job, and even did the work at a discounted price. The price seemed very reasonable compared to similar work we had done in the past, and we would certainly consider using him again.

Mike called me right back and gave me an estimate very quickly. He also gave me some advice about the tree that was very helpful. His estimate was higher so I went with an other tree service who had done work for me before. I will call Mike again when I need more work done, and recommend his company to others.
