Donley Complete Tree Care

This man is a tree guru. He is so kind and patient. He walked around my yard and explained "how trees work" and their growth patterns etc. He even got out his trimmers and taught me how to make a healthy cut. He explained that they mostly focus on trimming larger trees than I have and encouraged me to attempt the small jobs myself. We will hire them FOR SURE in the future as the trees grow too large for us to handle.

I have a maple tree shedding some bark and one newly planted dogwood not looking well. I called Mike with the intent of getting a diagnosis and possibly an estimate on any needed service. I fully expected to pay him for his expertise. However, he returned my call and was able to provide some good information over the phone free of charge. Now that is service! I chose Mike after reading the glowing reports on Angie's List. However, what impressed me most was his taking the time to respond to many reviews. He strikes me as a businessman who loves what he does and pays particular attention to customer service. He knows how to sow seeds for future business. I am putting his information on file. The next time I need an arborist, I will not look anywhere else.

We sustained storm damage to a section of a tree early Sunday morning. We placed a call to Donley tree service Sunday afternoon. They returned our call Monday afternoon and the damaged limb and debris was gone by Tuesday afternoon.

He was very professional, courteous, and very responsive.

They asked me if there was anything else they could do.

Donley is great! We left them a message and they returned our call the same day, came out to our house that same day and performed the service that same day! That is service! The price was very reasonable and they gave us an estimate for future work. Great to do business with such a great person and company.

One word: AWESOME. That's what sums up our experience with this company! The owner himself comes out and does the work with helpers. He estimates the job and does the job; an old time work ethic you don't find so often. It was a pleasure to pay him.

Mike came out during his busy season to diagnoses our tree's problems, he talked with me for 20 minutes and gave us some great free advice. He stated our tree's are generally healthy and to just cut off some of the dead branches. We called several other tree companies on the list but got no response. We will call him back when we need a tree specialist.

I had called in the morning to get estimates from 3 different tree services. I liked the fact that Mike Donley is an arborist, because I felt he wouldn't get rid of any trees unless absolutely necessary. I went out for the morning and when I got back, Mike was returning my call. As I talked to him on the phone, I realized one of our trees fell that very day, missing our house by less than an inch. When Mike heard how dire the situation was, he offered to come that very afternoon and bring his crew to take care of the fallen tree. As promised Mike came that afternoon and not only took care of that tree, but they also did all of the needed work in less than 90 minutes. TALK ABOUT EXCELLENT SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It went very well. He was called, came and looked at what needed to be done, both what we thought needed, and what he suggested as well, and gave us an estimate that was very close to what we expected to pay. He showed up quickly with a crew and proper machinery, did the work in a very professional way, cleaned up beautifully, and offered suggestions about other work we might want to consider having done with our landscaping. He is a very competent and friendly professional, and we will definitely use him again.

I contacted Mike Donley for an estimate on 3/22/07, and the next day he was at my house to discuss what I wanted done. His estimate was well below the other estimate that I received, so I asked Mike to complete the work. He came back on 4/4/07 and removed the trees as requested. He and his crew of two were very efficient, and finished the job within a few hours. Two of the trees that they removed were in an existing flowerbed, and they were careful not to damage the plantings, and even removed one, and replanted it so as not to damage it during the removal of the tree and grinding of the stump. This is not something that I asked, they just did it. After they were finished, they did such a wonderful job of cleaning up that if the trees were not missing I would have never known they were there. I will have Mike take care of all of my tree needs in the future and would highly recommend him.

Mike was very knowledgeable and professional in the initial phone conversation. He provided a free estimate for the work within a matter of days, but let me know up front that it would likely be a month before he could do the actual work. However, he was actually able to get the work done sooner than he had originally anticipated. The work was done well and he cleaned up the yard so well you would not have known any work had been done that day. Mike also offered a few helpful suggestions to protect the tree, and he even cleaned out the gutters on the house while he was here! I would recommend his services.

A+! Their price was super and they did a great job! I told them to give an estimate whenever they got a chance, and they even reduced the estimate. He was out within a week and took down all 4 trees within about 3 hour. No hassle! I took care of it from there because I wanted the wood.

He did it very quickly and cleaned up and that was very important that no mess was left.

I had a very good experience with Mr Donley. During the estimate, he explained exactly what he would be doing. I then was able to let my neighbor understand what would be done and put him at ease. He arrived on time. His helpers were efficient made sure my yard was clean when they left. Some of my senior citizen neighbors came around asking questions( this was Big doings for them). He was friendly and patient with them. I would not hesitate to call on him again.

They are very professional, and performed the work in a timely manner. They actually charged less that the estimate, and we will definitely use them again.

Mike and his crew did wonderful work. He is very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. He helped up work within our budget, prioritizing and giving advice on our new home's lot that had numerous poorly planted trees. They did a fantastic clean-up job and we would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing any kind of tree care.

Mike was fantastic. Instead of "taking my money" he said I should relax and watch the tree. Said it looked better than most and it might survive. If not, he could always comes out and cut it down later. He was honest, unwilling to spend my money. I appreciate that. A rare trait in business today. I will absolutely call him for any future tree issues, and not hesitate to recommend him.
