They were very helpful and I would highly recommend them.

They were excellent. I had used some else before and they gave me a $1000 estimate, then this company came out to complete the work for about $250. This company did a very thorough job and my entire experience was really wonderful.

Higher Power arrived and I explained that a new GFI outlet in kitchen would and quot;tripand quot; even when nothing was plugged into the outlet. The service man went through the whole house checking all the ground outlets and the GFI. He was unable to find the problem so he called someone in the company and explained the problem. The man came to the house and together they found the problem was an outdoor ground outlet. They replaced it and rechecked everything.

I love Higher Power electric . I was burglarized in 2012 and needed to update security and lighting around my home. Patrick is the owner and I spoke directly to him many times about all of my concerns. I had initially made the mistake of asking a retired electrician neighbor for help and that mistake was a big one. Higher power came out and fixed my mistake and were fairly priced. The electrician was clean, professional and did his job correctly. I would call them in a heart beat and refer to any one that is in need.

Service was provided by Patrick and Steve on 2 separate occasions. Both extremely professional gentlemen. Patrick spent a good amount of time educating me on things related to my electrical repairs, gave me a quote which included tax and small parts and stuck to their quote. Saved me some money by pointing me in the right direction for information and parts. When I first called to set up an appt Vicky explained what I could do that may help to get things working- and if it didnt help they were happy to come out and repair. All this was over and above what I could have expected. They also did a small repair and did not charge me for it.. A very different experience from a previous provider. If only all companies operated this way..

Steve and Keith arrived around 9am and started by removing the old breaker box and service entrance cable, they then installed the new panel and new entrance cable, then wired up all the breakers checking any for rust or corrosion and replacing those as needed. Upon completion of the panel they labeled all the breakers in the panel. Job took around 4 hours.

I was having an issue with unreliable automatic start-up of a several year-old standby natural-gas powered single cylinder, Generac 7KW generator. Was not fully pleased with other contractors used for service the previous years - they could deal with electrical issues, but not with mechanical issues. Chose Higher Power from Angies List. They arrived promptly the day after after being called, however It took several trips to finally diagnose and correct the problem. Replaced a questionable looking fuel regulator, but that did not solve the problem. Upon disassembly and inspection, I am not sure it was faulty. They finally discovered a tear in a rubber bellows connecting the air intake and carburetor. Replacing the $5 part took a few minutes, but the contractor had already been here several times for several hours over a 2 week period. Checking the Internet, I found that this model seems prone to that particular problem and others have had similar experiences getting it diagnosed efficiently. It my case neither the contractor nor the factory rep he contacted checked out that potential problem early in the diagnosis process. I have mixed feeling about this experience. Higher Power tried hard and was diligent and I appreciate the difficulty in diagnosing and repairing power equipment, but I had hoped I could find someone who has experience and who would find the problem and repair it in one hour instead of the many it took.

They are very professional, prompt and courteous. I would hire them again in a minute.The only drawback was that when they went into the attic to install the rough in for the ceiling fan they managed to get insulation over everything in the closet. We spoke to the owner about it and he agreed that arrangements should have been made to protect the clothing. Nonetheless, I am very satisfied with their service.

They are excellent. They are very determined to do a good job. He was very proud of his work, which he should have been.

I've been experiencing electrical problems, and saw their decal/business name on the circuit breaker so I contacted them via their website to ask if they had records of the work performed so I had an idea of the work performed. 12 hours later I had an email explaining every detail of the work performed (August 2008) AND pictures of before and after! They also suggested some solutions for my problem (because they're familiar with my area - Minerva Park) and offered to come out and further investigate my problem. I'm very impressed

They had to take out all the lighting fixtures in 9 rooms and put new ones in. In the living, kitchen and hallway, they had to redo the electrical work and get it repair for drywall and new ceiling because we had all new Cam Lighting in. Cam Lighting is were the light is built into the ceiling. So they had to prepare the ceiling for all these new lighting and all the lighting in the bedroom and bathroom but not complete it just get it ready so when the drywall company came in to do the walls. When the drywall company was done Higher Power Electric came back and put in the rest of the new lighting. They do great work; Pat and Vicki Payne own the company. They give good advice and have great quality work and try to help you out anyway that they can.

If you had a rating category higher than an "A" I would give it to Higher Power Electric. I have never in all my years as an Angie's List member dealt with a company that was so professional and outstanding. The owner, Patrick Payne, personally came to my home a day in advance to check things out. Next, he took the time to go over the entire job with me. The next day, Patrick and his crew showed up right on time. As with most home projects, I had run into a problem with the hot tub installation itself. Patrick and his team worked alongside the hot tub company and solved the problem. His crew was polite, knowledgeable and most respectful of my home and property. This is a big undertaking and after hours of working on the project, Patrick who is also a hot tub owner, took the time to help me understand the daunting process of starting up and caring for our new hot tub. He went over the chemicals with me and passed along his own personal story and tips. When Higher Power left that day, things were in such working order that we were able to use the hot tub that evening! I couldn't believe it! On top of that, due to the recent power failure in Columbus, we were having problems with our landscaping lights. Patrick and his crew took care of that too! All I can say is that I will NEVER use any one else but Higher Power Electric. I feel as though I have made a new friend. They are a company that represents all the good in people. They are honest, respectful, fair and professional. It was a pleasure doing business with Higher Power Electric and I look forward to using them again for my next project!

They showed up on time, there were two of them, efficient, cleaned up after the job and it looks like they were never here.

We contacted Pat Payne in 8/05 for an estimate to update our old wiring and he promptly came out and gave us a detailed estimate. We put off the work until we could no longer stand having to flip the circuit breaker switches back on every time something overloaded it. We contacted Pat in 1/07 and he still had the estimate and said there would be just minor cost increases, mainly to cover the cost of the permit going from $25 to over $100, and the increased cost of material. I called on a Monday or Tuesday and he had two electricians come two days later. They worked for two full days and brought everything up to code. They always told us what any additional work would cost and called to get our approval. Very good work. They could have cleaned up afterward a little better, but did not leave a serious mess. Several months after they did the work, we discovered that the outlets they installed for bedroom air conditioners were for very large, whole-house A/C units similar to an outlet for a clothes dryer. We did not need such high voltage/high amp outlets, but we failed to specify exactly what we needed -- we just said we wanted to put in window A/C units. After discussing this with Pat Payne, the owner of the company, he offered to send an electrician to change the wiring for the two outlets ABSOLUTELY FREE OF CHARGE -- practically unheard of these days! An electrician came the next morning and changed the outlets and it was completely free.

They are very timely and professional. The employees are very nice and cordial. They are very personable, trusting, and honest. Pat, the owner, is great to work with.

They were pretty quick to respond. Pretty Friendly. Finished the same day that I had called them. Well within my expectations. They were there when they said that they would be there.

HE DID IT PERFECTLY. HE DID A GOOD JOB WITHOUT HAVING TO PUT HOLES IN THE CEILING. THEY WERE VERY CLEAN AND THE COST WAS REASONABLE COMPARED TO WHAT OTHER COMPANIES HAD TOLD US. I WAS REALLY, REALLY HAPPY WITH THEM. I WILL BE USING HIM AGAIN.

THEY WERE THE BEST CONTRACTOR I HAVE USED IN THE LAST 10 YEARS. I WOULD GIVE THEM A+ IN ALL CATEGORIES.

THEY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND. THEY FOUND EXTRA PROBLEMS THAT I DIDN'T. THEY DID SOME WIRING IN A SMALL ADDTION IN MY HOME. THEY WERE VERY GOOD.

CAME NEXT DAY; CHECKED AND REPAIRED EXHAUST FAN; SET THERMOSTAT.
