Description of Work: Requested them to complete a typical maintenance on the furnace and check the manifold pressure due to another provider that did not complete the manifold pressure setting correctly. They completed the entire service with me watching them and were very professional. The made the correct manifold pressure adjustment and showed me the before and after readings.

Description of Work: After researching all the major hvac manufacturers, we chose a bryant system and then got more than one estimate from bryant installers. We chose Elite Heating and Cooling, inc to install a new furnace and ac system because of their professionalism and Factory Authorized Dealer status. I work nights and requested a call back at within specific times; and from the start, all communication and service has been prompt. their patience with explaining their estimate as we compared offers with other companies, was excellent. The person who sold us the system was here at the start of the project and introduced us to the installers and assured us that if we had any questions, he was available by phone any time. They arrived 5 minutes early and stayed late to complete the project so they would not have to return the next day to finish. The installers gave a full tutorial of how to use the new thermostat. I contacted them this morning to inquire about getting a rebate form to apply on line at the bryant website when i was informed that they take care of all that and product registration for the customer. She is calling me later today to confirm the exact amount of my rebate. All in all I feel we selected a quality system and have astutely chosen a very reputable, professional and courteous company.

water heater repair
+ -1 moreOur tenant reported that the hot water heater was leaking a lot of water from the bottom. It had not quit yet, but looked like it could just any time. I contacted Elite and gave them the tenant's cell phone number to make scheduling around work schedules easier. They set up an appointment only a couple of days out. Fortunately, the tenant had remembered to tell them the ceiling in the basement of this 100-year-old house was very low. They selected a model of water heater that would fit the space available. Technicians Bill and Jesse arrived right on time. They got right to work removing the old water heater. They even made friends with the three large dogs in the house. They installed the new water heater, connected water and gas lines, then tested the whole system to be sure nothing leaked and the heater cycled properly. They cleaned up the little bit of water that had been spilled in the process, even though it was only on a concrete basement floor. Our tenant reported that Bill and Jesse were efficient and pleasant. All in all, it was a pleasant experience.

+ -1 moreAfter experiencing some problems with the unit, I had a few companies come out to take a look at the HVAC that Elite had installed. As a result of having 2 guys out from competitive companies, they both found flaws in the system that I would have not known about had the unit not been inspected by them. I have since sent a letter to the company stating that I would no longer be a customer of theirs.

The technician that came out for the second blown compressor was new and gave us some bad advice about only replacing the outdoor AC unit (thankfully I knew enough about heat pumps to know that you should match the system), but the owner of the company (Jerry) caught his mistake, talked to him and then personally came out to our house to discuss our options and give us a formal quote for the work. He was very nice and professional and he was able to apply the price of the compressor that died under warranty to the price of the new system. He actually came in at the same price as a friend's uncle that does heating and cooling on the side, so we decided to go with them to have a company to at least call if anything went wrong. I was very happy with the price. The installation was flawless and the two installers were wonderful. Nice, polite, extremely professional and clean. A very positive experience.
Description of Work: The compressor on our AC unit (heat pump) died last summer and Elite came out and replaced it (very nice job). The new compressor died in May of this year. We called Elite and they said we could either replace the compressor yet again (and the part was still under warranty, we just had to pay labor) or we could think about replacing the whole heat pump system. As the system was 14 years old and it seemed likely that it was going south fast (the heat didn't work well this winter), we were afraid that we would keep blowing compressors so we decided to get the whole system replaced. New outdoor AC unit, new inner coils and new air handler. Chose a much more energy efficient model.

+ -1 moreAfter being away for several days, my wife and I arrived home to find the furnace not working. The temperature was predicted to be in the low 30's that night and temp inside the house was down to the 50's. We called Elite at about 2:30 pm. They promised to be there within two hours. They arrived in about 45 minutes. The technician examined the furnace, determined that the thermocouple had burned out, and replaced it. He re-lit the pilot light and stayed long enough to be sure that the furnace was going to cycle properly and the temperature was up into the 60's in the house.
Description of Work: Replaced the thermocouple and re-lit the pilot light.

+ -1 moreMy furnace was forming rust where the flue pipe met the top of the furnace. The flue pipe also has condensation and calcium buildup all over the pipe. I paid for service that was never performed. The $80 dollars I paid, the tech said was the cost of a service call. My problem still exists and I'm out $80. I don't have a very good feeling about this company and I should have not paid to have the tech just walk in to my house and look at my furnace. No service was performed and the tech was about an hour late.
Description of Work: None, but I wanted my flue pipe replaced and diagnosed as to why I was getting condensation, and calcium buildup inside/around the joints.

+ -1 moreJOHN ARRIVED RIGHT AT THE APPOINTED TIME. HE HAD ALL THE NECESSARY PARTS IN HIS TRUCK. HE WAS EFFICIENT AND PLEASANT. HE EVEN COVERED HIS BOOTS WITH OVERSHOES TO AVOID TRACKING MUD INTO OUR HOUSE. JOHN MADE THE WATER HEATER THE EASIEST PART OF CLEANING UP AFTER THE FLOOD.
Description of Work: WHEN WE LOST ELECTRICITY FOR A WEEK, THE SUMP PUMP FAILED. WATER IN THE BASEMENT FLOODED THE HOT WATER HEATER. JOHN REPAIRED THE IGNITION ASSEMBLY AND RELIGHTED THE WATER HEATER. HE ALSO CHECKED THE FURNACE TO MAKE SURE IT HAD NOT BEEN DAMAGED IN THE FLOOD.
