The staff was professional. The person doing the estimate wrote down our concerns. The installers were on time, professional, friendly in a business like manner, were on task, & cleaned up after the job was finished.l

We chose the type and brand of carpet we wanted and then went to several carpet stores checking out the prices and the people. Some stores low-balled the price while others tried to substitute an inferior product to lower the price. Three places came in with almost identical prices for the whole shebang. The final choice came down to how we felt about Frederick's people and reviews on Angie's list. Frederick's price was one of what I think of as the straight-up three. Sometimes trust is more important than low price. My wife and I are very happy with our choice !

Salespeople at Frederick's were very knowledgeable abot all the products and what would work and would not work for our circumstances. Family owned company that used own installation crew rather than subcontracting out which we were looking for. Had a quick response from when we placed the order to service being performed. There was one minor adjustment that was needed for the three season room flooring and they came out to resolve that promptly.

We are very happy with our experience and if we have any future flooring needs we won't hesitate to use them again.

I was very impressed with the work performed for us. The vinyl tile looks and feels very close to wood. It has texture throughout to match the image, including "knots" in the wood. It is much more resilient than wood, and I need that with two adults, a toddler, a dog and a bunny all traipsing over the floor. The demo took only one day, and the two gentlemen who performed that work were very through and efficient. They taped up tarps in all areas where the dust would travel, which included the kitchen. I was happy to see good communication between the two workers; they truly acted like a team. On the remaining four days only one of the gentlemen returned. He showed up consistently at 9am every day and worked without any break until 4pm. Then he would cleanup, so the area was livable for us, and he would leave. I can understand why he chose to work alone. His attention to detail may have been too much for someone else to work with, but it was great for me. One small example stands out in my memory. On the last day, he was trying to finish by 4, but unfortunately he had to stay until 6 to get everything done. Right around 4 pm he was replacing the moldings and a/c and heating vents. I noticed he was trying to put one vent on, and it wasn't laying evenly for him. So, he took the unit back off the wall, and found that the back part has been "over hammered" by whoever installed it before. He pounded that back level, and then went back and installed it. He could have easily just brute-forced it against the wall, and it would have looked fine, however you could tell that wouldn't have satisfied him. Everything had to be just right. Another example, he carved the planks to fit against the irregular edges of the fireplace in the dining room. Simple straight edges would have worked, but to get to lay level, he made the notches and curves so it fit perfectly. One last note about his thoughtfulness. During the course of the installation, one wall was discovered to have mold growing at the bottom. After a quick plumber visit, we found that the previous owner had pounded a nail into one of the waste pipes. I got it fixed, but then I needed to bleach the mold and then let it air out. So, the flooring installer kindly worked from the other side of the room towards the area with the mold, to give it the maximum amount of time to be open to the air, and dry out. Over all I couldn't be happier. The new floor looks fantastic. The selection of options at the showroom was quite vast. The workers were fast, clean, and courteous. It was a very good experience.I would highly recommend Frederick's Floor Covering and Cabinetry!

2 men arrived on time, they worked steady all day and did a beautiful job. I am very happy with the quality of material and the workers.

We had decided on one of two products after visiting many flooring showrooms before we asked for estimates.The estimator was punctual and professional and promptly sent us the estimates via email. We were informed that the installation would take 3 days and possibly a portion of a 4th. The installer arrived punctually on the first three days and had worked until about 5:30pm on the first 2 days. On the third day we informed the installer that we had to be out of the house at 5:45pm and he indicated that he could not finish and would return to finish in a day and a half. We were surprised to learn that he had been scheduled with a potential conflict. He did make sure that the kitchen was functional before he left. On the afternoon that he was to return, he failed to show and when we called the showroom in we were informed that the installer had been injured that morning. Mr. Frederick offered to come out Saturday morning to reinstall the washer and dryer in the utility room, but was not sure how to reset the utility tub. He did get the washer, dryer and utility tub sufficiently serviceable so that we could catch up on almost a week's laundry. On Monday (1 week after the job started) the installer returned to install moulding at the base of the cabinets, properly secure the utility tub and make a minor repair to the grout. While the job took longer than we had expected we are pleased with the result.

The price was great and the service was superb. They were able to fix a section of the carpet which I thought was ruined as well.

Fredericks is a top notch company, they were punctual in giving me an estimate and punctual in installing the carpeting. The installation went very well. The installers who work for Frederick were very professional and did excellent work. The job wasn't easy as I have 58 spindles along the stairwell and second floor hallway, 11 stairs and 2 landings that the installer had to cut around and fit carpet to. What a painstaking job that required a lot of patience. The job turned out perfect. This is a quality company that does quality work.

The owner himself came out, they came when they said they would and were very nice throught the whole process.

The installer did an outstanding job, going the extra mile to make every request happen. All trim and doors perfectly completed. Door trim and steps covered with no mistakes or errors.

For the price and the quality of the work, they’ve done a great job. We’re very pleased with all of the work that they’ve done.

The carpet repair person did a great job patching my carpet. The patches are not noticeable and blend perfectly. The price I paid was less than the estimated price to repair

The job went smoothly but there was a leak in the toilet. One of the leaks was from a bolt and at first was thought to be the main problem. It turned out that the toilet was leaking at the base. I called Frederick's and the owner, Rick, sent another man out to reinstall the floor using brand new sheet vinyl. The toilet began leaking about a week later at the base. This time, I called and talked to Rick and we agreed that a plumber was needed. He sent out a plumber who reinstalled the toilet. The flooring was not damaged since the leak was caught early. My kitchen ceiling had been damaged from the original leak. Rick said if I wanted to, I could call someone to repair and paint it (at his expense) which I did. The painter repaired the ceiling and repainted it. All of the work and materials needed to make the job right were paid by Rick, of Frederick Floors. This company is very reliable and professional. I doubt I would have had such excellent service if I had used a cheaper, big box-type store. I am very satisfied with the way my bathroom floor looks now. I would highly recommend Fredericks Floor Covering and Cabinetry. I will definitely call on them in the future for any flooring needs.

We are very satisfied. He did a beautiful job. He was clean and efficient. It was a one-man job, so there weren’t people coming in and out. He did put a plastic across the doorway to the dining room, so we didn’t get any mess in there. He cleaned up after himself and he was very good. His price was comparable with other prices we had gotten. We would definitely recommend him and would use him again in the future if necessary.

Mr. Rick Frederick came to our home to advise us regarding removing linoleum and refinishing the hardwood floor beneath. He advised us that the floor was not of a type and construction that would lend itself to a quality of hardwood floor that we would be happy with. He suggested we come out to the showroom so he could show us the products he carried. We went the same evening, and decided on a new Luxury Tile product from Shaw. We put down the requested 50% deposit, and the delivery and installation was set for the following Monday morning. The installer moved the furniture and appliances (including disassembling the kitchen table), took up the layers of vinyl and underlayment in the hallway to match the height of the adjacent kitchen floor, then installed the underlayment throughout the area and covered all the seams. He worked non-stop until 5:30 PM. He then arrived promptly the following morning, and spread the adhesive, then used a laser to mark the starting line. He installed all the tiles, then began grouting. Again, he worked non-stop until the end of the stay (without even breaking for lunch!) He finished the grouting, but asked if he could return the next morning to replace all the furniture and appliances so as to give time for the grouting to set up and dry. Again, he arrived promptly and carefully replaced all the items. The installer was exceedingly hard-working, respectful, and cleaned up each evening before he left. We are exceedingly pleased with the results, would not hesitate to use Frederick's in the future, and just love the beautiful new floor!

Punctual, efficient, professional. Discussed options and prices with us clearly before any work was done. Will absolutely call Frederick's again in the future for additional flooring work in our house.

They were very personable, very responsive, were on time and very thorough. They more little more expensive than other companies that I got quote from. I think if their price was lower than I would have definitely hired them as they were very thorough.

I started by removing the shoe molding myself. Then I removed one layer of flooring. That being 12x12 self stick tiles. Did that w/heat gun &putty knife.and much help from my wife, not too bad of a job. By now you're wondering if this is a do it yourself report or git er done report. Scared you, didnt I. Not to worry. Fredericks will do those things and more. Nick the installer showed up at an appointed time and did some stuff, the next morning he showed up again and mostly did some really good stuff. This took about 8 hours. Sit back relax for when he is done you will be happy. A neat clean perfect floor. And before I forget he moved the stove refridg & roll around dishwasher by himself & did not scratch, dent, or dirty anything.

Sales person was very helpfull in helping us pick out the carpting. The person that came to our house to measure for the carpting was very informative. The installer came at the appointed time and finished the job in six hours. The installer did an excellent job in laying the carpets.

It was excellent. The quality of the workmanship was excellent. The feedback and punctuality were excellent.

the job was started in pm at my reqest.nick the installer arrived on time. the job took approx. 5 hours with no breaks. if you try to help to much or talk to much you will be in the way. i cleared a space in the basement for cutting the sub floor and vinyl. he insisted on sawing the plywood outside because he did not want to get sawdust in the house. this was not the best weather to do that in.when he was finished he swept and cleaned all the trash and took it with him. all i had left to do was admire the new floor. it is hard to grade this job because the grade scale only goes as high as an A.
